But hey, since women outnumber men in the Church of God like cats outnumber dogs in a meme factory, he'd better zip those lips before he preaches himself into a corner. Naturally, this holy tirade is strictly for Western women—his African flock gets a free pass because, you know, traditions are like passports: they let you skip the judgment line.
And let's not forget the glorious track record of these COG dudes who can't stop yapping about women: turns out, a bunch of them were living their best hypocritical lives, sneaking around on the down low like ninjas in a confessional.
Hypocrisy level: expert!
1 Timothy 1-2: God Wants All Saved, Be Modest
This is the first part of an expected 3-part series covering each and every verse of the Apostle Paul’s first epistle to Timothy. In this sermon, Dr. Thiel cover the first two chapters of Paul’s letter. Paul reminds Timothy of his own role, warns him not to follow fables, and mentions that the purpose of the commandments is love. Dr. Thiel discusses commandments vs. traditions of men, sin, grace, salvation, idolatry, prophecy, prayer for political leaders, why God only calls some now, the pagan-connections of having Mary as a Mediatrix, modesty, and immoral women. He spends a lot of time reading the Radio Church of God position on whether or not women can braid their hair or wear jewelry. He quotes passages in the Old Testament showing that jewelry, of itself, can be worn. He explains that wearing (or not wearing) things for show is wrong and vanity. Gold, silver, rings, and pearls are discussed. The Apostle Paul’s teaching about women preaching is also discussed.

This is GREAT!! VERY WELL WRITTEN!! I needed the laugh!! Thank You!!
This is what top down government is all about. Controlling those in weaker positions. I'm so glad the poobahs remind us about modesty every year before the feast just to make sure beaches are appropriate for the leering eyes of men with no self control or introspection.
Ya know what's really funny? Back when I too was an Old Covenant Christian, people used to ask me questions, like, according to the Bible, what should be done with men and women who fornicate or commit adultery?
I'd always cite Old Testament scriptures, replying along the way that they ought to be stoned (literally, not psychoactively!) I didn't feel as if intent of the guilty was a mitigating issue, because frankly, you really can't argue good intent in spending the night with some hot babe from the bar, or screwing someone's wife. And, if a church member deliberately did this, according Armstrong, basically, there was no repentence, the penalty for deliberate sin was eternal death. Still, In the Old Testament, David was allowed to live, but got punished. His child was taken.
With clothes, I think a lot does depend upon intent. The church ladies are not going to go out to the clubs in their skirts, and blouses, whatever the length or however sheer, to deliberately seduce men. And, you can discern intent by the facial expressions of the woman wearing whatever style. Any man can recognize a wanton, inviting look in the eyes. Or active disinterest, which does not always necessarily result in the man giving up and walking away. Word from the street: Guys who are tomcatting usually use the Rhinocerous method, ie, backing up and charging again and again.!
I've heard it said by ladies over the years that men are just dogs. Anything turns them on. Even baggy sweats in the gym. Want to put that to the acid test? Ask one of your lesbian friends, coworkers, or relatives! You may be quite surprised by their stories!
It's up to the guy to get civilized, and control himself! God expects no less!
