Dennis Leap: All Children Outside of the PCG are Cut Off from God

Of all the people in the Philadelphia Church of God for some reason, Dennis Leap is the one who writes about children the most.  This time his is expounding on the PCG's stance on children of members and their standing with the god of PCG.  Like almost every article that PCG publishes, Leap uses old worn out comments by Herbert Armstrong is if they were some kind of "gospel truth."

Unable to ever make a theological decision on their own, they have to rely on HWA's public library training as the foundation for their "truth's."

PCG believes that their children and only their children have access to God.  All other children who have the misfortune of not being born into the PCG are cut off from access to God, or at least the god of the PCG.  Even then there is a qualification for PCG members, only children of TRULY CONVERTED PCG members have access to that god.

All of those cute little babies of UCG, LCG, RCG, COGWA and the improperly named "continuing" Church of God are damned to utter destruction during the end times for not being PCG.  The god of PCG only loves PCG babies and none others. Even Bob Thiel's double blessing cannot save his follower's children.

We need to take in the significance of what Christ has established through Mr. Armstrong. This truth holds incredible meaning for our children. Our children are not cut off from God. They have access to God. This means that our children are in a different category than all other children on the planet! Of course, God loves all the children in this world—John 3:16 tells us that—but God is only working closely with our children at this time.

Mr. Armstrong wrote, “While other people—not members of the true body of Christ—and all other children are cut off from access to God, your children—if you are a truly converted member of God’s Church—can believe in Christ—are not cut off from God—and much of God’s truth, even though as yet too young to be converted. But they are a special treasure to God!” (ibid). Do we get what Mr. Armstrong is teaching here? Children of members can have a relationship with Christ and come to understand God’s truth because of their parents’ calling. Mr. Armstrong adds that they are a special treasure to God. How inspiring, exciting and thrilling! Do we realize what a sacred treasure our children are? Our Sacred Children: How well do you understand what God has given His Church concerning child rearing?

Part of the reason so many children are cut off from God is that Satan entered their mind as soon as they were born and now controls everything they do.

Here is the revealed knowledge necessary to deeply understand child rearing. Mr. Armstrong continued in the same article, “To understand, you need to know all about the spirit in man and how it operates. You need to know precisely what is human nature. You need to know how Satan operates—especially on children. You need to know in what manner God has set you—and your children—apart from this world.

“You need to know at what age Satan gets into your child’s mind. You need to know whether your child has access to God ….” You will not find these truths explained in any book from a bookstore. These are the deep thoughts of God that have been graciously given to us to use (1 Corinthians 2:10-12). We must study, believe, think about and learn to apply each of these in our family life.

The "deep thoughts of God?"  Seriously?

Mr. Armstrong stated, “Now see how that applies to the children of converted parents. It does not mean they may be converted while still too young. It does mean they are not, like children of unconverted parents, cut off from God. It means that they may be taught about God by the believing parent” (ibid). Teaching about God and His purpose for mankind is the most important aspect of child rearing. Let’s expend some effort to understand the magnitude of this statement.

Here’s the point. Why should our young children be taught about God? Because God makes it possible for them to understand the truth! Do we get it? Our children can grasp the true gospel of Jesus Christ. Our children can know that God is a family into which they can be born. Our little toddlers can be taught to realize that God is offering them the opportunity to rule the universe. People in this world have such great difficulty accepting these wonderful truths of God because their minds are full of religious error. When parents faithfully do their part, a little child is able to grow up without being subjected to Satan’s religious deceit. Keeping our children’s minds free of error gives them an incredible edge in preparation for the Kingdom of God.

Mr. Armstrong continued, “Your children are in a special (consecrated) category. You may teach them about Christ—about the things of the Bible. Their chances of being converted when sufficiently mature are multiplied!” (ibid). Are we giving our children the full advantage that God wants them to have? We must never leave this kind of teaching to chance, or expect that our children will somehow get it by themselves. It takes vision, preparation and effort. All parents must have an organized plan for instructing their children.

I guess no parent outside the COG can teach their children about Jesus and God.  More idiotic malarkey. I know a gay couple who's kids know more about Jesus than 99.9% of the PCG members do.

Even with all of their self-righteous chest thumping, PCG admits it is unable to keep all of its youth in the church:

From time to time we are confronted with young people who leave the pcg. This is a hard thing for parents and the ministry alike. We must all examine ourselves to see where we can do a better job. It is true that every child will not necessarily come into God’s Church. God has given every human the freedom to make a choice. Yet we must ensure that our teaching is not the cause. We are the last-hour generation. It is the time of Satan’s greatest wrath (Revelation 12:12). We witness the evil of man coming to its full expression, bringing tremendous pressure on us and our children. It is not an easy time. This is reality.

Their solution to this is to publicly mark the children or teen or tell its parents to take it to the mall and leave it behind.

Yet there is still marvelous hope. Mr. Armstrong wrote, “Although Satan is going to influence your children, almost from birth, toward his selfish and rebellious attitude, you may counteract this by teaching your children the truth about God! And when sufficiently adult they will be called. None of this is true of children outside truly converted parents!” (ibid). We should be as positive as Mr. Armstrong. Let’s never forget that we have the power of the Almighty God behind us and our children!

Being the last-hour generation gives us some incredible advantages. With so many prophecies being fulfilled and such excitement in the Work, we are not at a loss for rousing examples to teach our youth. We can easily demonstrate how God works both in this world and in His Church. Do you see that we have a unique opportunity to make God real for our children?

How can a personality cult like PCG claim to make God and Jesus real to their children when they ignore Jesus as a church?

Dennis Leap's nonsense is just as big a lie as the one promoted by HWA and others that claim there are no real Christians outside the Church of God movement.  Sadly many COG members to this day still believe this malarkey.

Another Question Concerning HWA's Baptism: Laying on Of Hands?

Some time ago, I submitted an article here at Banned which detailed the controversial details on HWA's Baptism. The questions were posed concerning if the Baptism of Herbert Armstrong could possibly be valid - in that Herbert Armstrong was baptized in a Worldly Baptist Church - something he, himself, over and over again, condemned as one of "satan's churches", worldly, not knowing the truth, and on and on, you know the rest. 

The response was huge - and varied. Some said that God is not restricted as to how he works since the Gospel was suppressed for 1900 years. To others, it made all the sense in the world and explained much. Still, the main fact was very clear - HWA was baptized in a way both he, and the church, agreed in virtually every way was thoroughly worldly, thoroughly wrong, and in a completely (to them) satanic institution. 

What I did not go into, and will now - is another aspect that needs to be discussed about baptism - the Church's teaching on the laying on of hands - and the Baptism of Herbert Armstrong - and does it matter?

It is Important to note this: Most baptist churches DO NOT practice a "laying on of hands ceremony". It was never considered a mandatory matter, regardless of whether a baptist church did so, or did not do so.

Here is what Herbert Armstrong said about his own baptism: 

GN, AUG 69, Page 4 - No mention of Laying on of Hands. 

I looked further into this, to see the "worldly church's" practices on the Laying on of Hands Ceremony, to see if it is possible if it did happen. I also tried to see if I may have overlooked an HWA mention of such regarding himself inadvertently. 

The Southern Baptist Church, the Pentecostals, Anglicans, Catholics - most mainstream groups - do NOT officiate a laying on of hands ceremony. In nearly every case, this ceremony is reserved for ordinations. Also, since nearly every Baptist Church does NOT practice this as a Baptism rite (though some leave this up to individual church choice), even if HWA says it happened that way (and I have not found anywhere that says that he had this happen to him), I would NOT believe it. It would be a rare thing for this to happen with a Baptist Church - anywhere - at least then. 

The practice of the Worldwide Church of God was the laying on of hands by the ministry as an example and recognition of the "human instruments through which He works", even in Baptism. 

The Church taught:

Timothy couldn't be ordained by just any church or any minister. He had to be ordained by the TRUE CHURCH and the TRUE MINISTRY, through which God was working.

What, then, separates the act of baptism from the act of ordination? What was it that separated Herbert Armstrong from the rest of the heathens at that Baptist Church that somehow, God worked differently? And, if Herbert Armstrong did not have the "laying on of hands ceremony" in His baptism, according to the very traditions and teachings of his church, is this further evidence that Herbert Armstrong's baptism - in accordance with his very teachings and very practices on the subject - could not be determined as valid? And does his recorded and obviously UN-Christian fruits bear evidence to the same? And - Did ANYONE else in the Worldwide Church of God ever receive ordination if hands were not laid on that person in baptism? 

I must add that a question was raised in a "giveshare" article if HWA was possibly re-baptized in another congregation later, to overcome the "error" of a "worldly" baptism. The conclusion was that that was not a correct memory. 

Regardless of whether HWA received a "Laying on of Hands" in Baptism or not - this remains: 

"   However, notice that the one performing the baptism ceremony was a representative (though not necessarily an ordained minister) of the true Church of God in every New Testament case. This was the Church Jesus founded" - All about Water Baptism.

Clint Zimmerman on "Churchianity" and how the COG has "washed" the gospel message clean

Zimmerman dares to declare Christians sanctimonious when the modern-day splinters of the COG as a whole are the most sanctimonious group of Christians who think they know everything about everything.  Just look at James Malm, Bob Thiel, Dave Pack and Gerald Flurry; can the church have any more self-righteous and sanctimonious group of men than these?

Like Clint Zimmerman, these self-appointed hypocritical buffoons think they have "washed" the gospel back to its purest form.

Zimmerman continues:  The "most perfectly administered government attained."  

Seriously?  

The COG movement has been corrupted by the vilest men imaginable who are presiding over their own personality groups where they destroy members lives 

with legalism and outright blasphemous heresy.

The Church of God has NEVER "completed the quest for the ages" that Zimmerman describes below.  How can it when it denies the very man they claim to follow.  

If they knew the man they claim to pay lip service to then they would know that the

"quest" has been completed as an assurance to any follower.  

The "quest" they so seriously search for is the "rest" they have never found 

in the one they claim to follow.

Atonement and the futility of legalism

On Wednesday, September 19, is the traditional day for the Churches of God to observe The Day of Atonement.  That date is pretty standard across the board for the COG's, except for one malevolent personality cult.  That group, led by the Great Pharisee of the Church of God James Malm, has picked a different date.

While everyone else in the world can easily pick out proper dates for holiday/holydays, Pharisee Malm has his crew of moonbeamers sitting on cold rocks in Israel, with binoculars in hand, straining to be the person to catch the very first glimpse of a new moon.  This year the Great Pharisee got waylaid by some clouds in the region of his moonbeamer, who was not able to see the new moon break forth.  However, just five miles up the road Avraham Baruch was able to see the new moon in all its glory and normalcy descended upon the devout in Israel and elsewhere.

Due to the missed sightings by his moonbeam brigade, The Great Pharisee had this to say about Atonement:

16 Sep:   Because the Fast of Atonement is on a Friday this year it is very important to properly prepare for the Sabbath on Thursday.  Be sure to have your casserole, stew. pot roast, soup or whatever you prepare for the Sabbath, ready and in the fridge by Thursday afternoon: Then you can just warm and serve after the fast and on the Sabbath!

This is a prime example of what legalism does to the brains of the obsessed devout as they struggle with trying to impress the god they can never impress.

Are you "rubberwristed" and take dainty little walks and wear glasses? GHASTLY!

We like to mock Rod Meredith and his sick obsession with sex, but his spiritual daddy was just as sex-obsessed as he was. What is with the sick obsession COG leaders have with sex? So many of them were living immoral lives while they were lecturing members on sex.

Herb and crew wanted the perfect specimens of manhood filling up the college and church. Even people with glasses did not make the cut in the ideal white world of the chosen people.

This is also what was believed as revealed "truth" to the church which supported some of its racial segregation tendencies.  Racial intermarriages were highly frowned upon since it diluted the pure bloodline of Israel.  White's are pictured as "moral" human beings while non-whites were the bedrock of immorality. Intermixing of races causes  people to go "completely BERSERK, physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually!"  The sad thing that today in 2018, many COG members still believe this.)

Pat Robertson, The Church of God and Hurricanes

A reader here commented on another thread:

Yesterday Pat Robinson said that his prayers had diverted the hurricane away from Virginia Beach southward to the heathens in the Carolinas. (He may not have used the word "heathens" but his lack of concern for anyone but himself is no different than that of the COGs.) It is the nature of those who think they alone have religious truth to despise others.

Pat Robertson is just like the Churches of God who pray every year that "satan" be restrained from sending hurricanes and bad weather to Feast sites.

I remember sitting in the large green tent in Jekyll Island when the preacher got up and asked everyone present to pray that a hurricane that was headed towards the Island be turned around. The wind was roaring, the tent was flapping, rain was pouring in as light bulbs were popping.  Deacons and men were hanging on to tent poles as they bounced in the wind.  Not one minister ever apologized for bring out thousands of members to sit through the storm.  God was testing our faith.

Eventually the hurricane turned and devastated Cuba causing massive destruction and countless deaths.  Church members clapped with glee when told the hurricane had turned and hit Cuba. After all, this was an island filled with god-forsaken socialists; so any loss of life there was just a fact of life for being part of Satan's world.

The magical god of Armstrongism has always been on the side of the church and answered every prayer, turning hurricanes, tornadoes, fires, earthquakes and other disasters around so that OTHER people suffered instead of COG members. That vengeful god always destroyed other peoples lives so that COG members knew they were special and set apart.

Pat Robertson's god does the same thing. It is always listening to every prayer Robertson utters, all at the expense of the rest of humanity.  Robertson's god loves destroying other lives.

We must never forget that that same god is going to take delight in destroying most of humanity when the end time hits. That is where Robertson and the COG meet. Both groups need a vengeful god at their beckon call.

The MARK of the Cult

For it was, in the days of the Great Worldwide Church, that those who were of the called and the chosen shall be deemed to be separate, and shall establish unto themselves therein thy chosen designation. 

For lo! They come forth, to and fro, from all directions, from the north, and the south, even from the east, and as far from the west, to the furthest reaches of the habitations. 

Look! For thy growth has established itself. And those who are not called, who have not been set apart, who have not understood the truth from the mouth of the anointed one, shall, without wisdom, without understanding, and without forbearance, shall attempt to join you, and your household, and your sons, and your daughters, in your times of joy and festivity. They shall attempt to enter among you, and shall see what you see, and shall hear what you hear, and be what you have become. This shall not be!

For what shall happen if this is allowed? These must not be allowed into the presence of the called and the chosen! They must be guarded and secured from our presence! Therefore, those of the called and the chosen shall be MARKED with the Great Seal of the Great Worldwide Church. Every member shall affix this MARK to their method of transportation to and from the Chosen Place where the Name Has been Placed. Those who have not been MARKED shall not be admitted to the Chosen Place where the Name Has been Placed.

Yes, you shalt turn them away! They may be attracted by the throngs of people – dressed in their best, children of great behavior – yes, turn them away! They are of trespass, those who hear the words without understanding! For they shall hear the words of the anointed one and spread them to the north, and the south, and the east, and the west, and shall twist, shall distort, shall mock, and jest at the words of the anointed one! The purity of thy Church must be maintained! The sanctuary of the called and the chosen must be graced with unity and all doubt shall be purged! The storehouses, then, shall give of thy bounty unto the Great Worldwide Church – thirty fold! There shall be none whose mind shall waiver from thy calling!

MARK those, who are of the Great Worldwide Church, with thou colors of Green, and of Orange, and of Red, and park those marked into the presence of the anointed one, to partake of the words from the mouths of the anointed, so there may be unity, so that the storehouses may be full, and the mammon may be great! For THIS, the MARK of the Great Worldwide Church, shall identify them as the People of the anointed one whose jowels shall shake and tremble, and whose fist shall clench, and whose voice shall raise in a spell of authority, to maintain the authority of the chosen one among those who fill the storehouses!

Yes! MARK them!

COG Hurricane Shield Collapses As Satan Attacks East Coast Feast Sites With Hurricane

The Time-Worn, Hurricane-Reversing, Feast-Saving Hurricane Shield that in decades past was rumored to turn hurricanes around and back to sea, saving a few thousand dedicated Church of God Feast-goers from certain destruction, appears to be losing steam!

The latest Hurricane to encounter the Shield, Hurricane Florence (which, of course, in all concern and seriousness, we hope people in danger and in harm's way actually DO take seriously and evacuate from NOW - this one's a biggie!!!), which could be one of the most damaging and destructive Hurricanes in many decades, threatening hundreds of thousands of people along the North Carolina And South Carolina coastline - timed of course to coincide with the Fall Holy Day Season, is buffing against the shield, which appears to be struggling to deflect this Hurricane. What then, has weakened the infamous Church of God Hurricane Shield? 

It has been rumored that the state of one of the Churches of God are to blame.

The Church of God which activated their Famed Hurricane Shield of Fasting and Prayer seems to have become "lukewarm" and "stale" - and the presiding Evangelist's ho-hum call for the fast seems to have weakened the Hurricane Shield.

The Chief Engineer of the Shield yelled to the Home Office "Captain! We're giving her all we've got! She can't take much more of this!" 

The Presiding evangelist responded "Well, you're doing the best you can, nothing much more we can do."

The other Churches of God clearly mocked the failing Shield, stating it proves they were never the Church of God anyway. 

None of the Churches of God seemed to show any concern or pledge any help, to the best of our knowledge, to the many hundreds of thousands of people on the coast. When asked why, one pompous COG said "They're under the devil's punishment, we can't interfere with God's Judgement." 

The Hurricane Shield in past times was claimed to have caused reversals, loops, stalls, dissipation, and other weakening phenomena in decades past. Another shield, the Tornado Fizzler, has been rumored to do the same, causing tornadoes to split, dip, rise, dissipate, hop, and jump over Church member's homes - while smashing and crushing non-church members' homes just doors down.

Instead of showing concern and helping those who are suffering from the effects of Natural Disaster, the Churches of God have historically used such events to boost their own bias that they are the only bearers of Protection from the wrath of the weather. Perhaps, some will act and think differently with Florence - and embrace the opportunity to help those in need, doing the right thing, by assisting, helping, giving, and rebuilding those who need a loving hand.

LCG 2018 Dress Code vs COG 1960 (The Good Old Days)

Yet, the legalistic lords and masters of Living Church of God are demanding that men and women dress according to THEIR expectations.

General Guidelines: In most modern cultures, coats, collared shirts, ties and nice slacks are considered appropriate attire for men on special occasions. This may vary in tropical climates, yet, in all climates there is a distinction between what is appropriate and what is not. 1 Timothy 2:9–10 explains that ladies should dress “in modest apparel, with propriety and moderation.” This does not include the trendy and immodest apparel that is commonplace for many women in our society today: short, tight, form-fitting dresses, necklines displaying cleavage, bare shoulders, backless dresses, belly-baring tops, etc. Our challenge as Christian men and women is to come out of this world (2 Corinthians 6:17) and recapture true values so we can be lights to a world that has lost its way (Matthew 5:14–16). This is especially true as we gather to celebrate the Feast of Tabernacles—picturing Christ’s glorious reign on earth!

Philadelphia Church of God's Gerald Flurry Now Claims To Be "Shiloh" And Cannot Be Overturned

First, we had Joseph Smith claiming that Independence, Missouri would be the site of the New Jerusalem where Jesus would return to.  Then we had David C Pack claiming that Jesus was returning to Wadsworth, Ohio when he returns for the THIRD time BEFORE he goes to Jerusalem.  Now we have Gerald Flurry claiming that he is Shiloh, the new Jerusalem, cannot be overturned till Jesus returns.

Can the idiots that run the various Churches of God get any dumber?

Flurry's Hallucinations:

September 1, 2018 

So Flurry is claiming to be Jewish of the tribe of Judah. Because of Judah in Genesis chapter 49, it was prophesied that the "sceptre shall not depart from Judah." Flurry must also believe he is Shiloh. Shiloh means "whose right it is." The throne of David was to be "overturned, overturned, overturned, and shall be no more (overturned), until he comes (Shiloh) whose right it is." From Ezekiel 21:27. That means from King David's Jerusalem, overturned to Northern Ireland, overturned to Scotland, overturned to London England, and will be no more overturned until Shiloh overturns it to Jerusalem again. But something is wrong because if Flurry hallucinates that he is Shiloh, he has instead overturned it to Edmond, USA. 

So he must hallucinate he is Jesus "the anointed" aka Shiloh, whose right it is, forever and ever. And Jerusalem must now be Edmond, USA. But that is the wrong place. And he did not ride a cherub through the clouds, in his majesty, through the heavens, to our rescue either. 

Time for Philadelphians to get back to the reality of their bibles to program their minds as to the knowledge of God, instead of allowing Flurry to program their minds with his hallucinations to enrich himself thereby. Time all COG mentally deceived realized that a burnt offering would be a crisp $100 note burnt round the edges including portions of the serial number, before offering it. My wife has been burnt monetary wise by Flurry's PCG who promised in writing (we kept the letter) to provide a receipt for honest auditing purposes for monies contributed, but did not, which was poor stewardship on their part. Highly questionable we think. Two years went by, we complained, and they tried to foist the blame on us for not complaining earlier. We thought the loot vanished into the ether. We then realized it had effectively disappeared into the ether. No more of our loot materialized into Flurry's PCG "ether." 

Whenever we paid tithes to COG churches [offshoots], God did not rebuke the devourer in our fruit trees as promised in Malachi 3:11. This is the test for whether or not tithing is being placed in the wrong hands and/or the "ether." So none of them preach that taboo, obviously. Our cups didn't overflow either. The Red Heifer Has Been Born, Prophecy Comes Alive, Armstrongites Flip Out

The WND, the official news source for many Churches of God is breathlessly reporting that the first red heifer in 2,000 years has been born in Israel.  According to Numbers 19 the red heifer was to be without blemish and is to be sacrificed for the purity of Israel.  This is also a harbinger of the Second Temple being built and their return of the Messiah.

“This is the ritual law that Hashem has commanded: Instruct B’nei Yisrael to bring you a red cow without blemish, in which there is no defect and on which no yoke has been laid. 

This is sure to soon send the two resident self-appointed prophets of idiocy in the Church of God (James Malm and Bob Thiel) as they twist their self-righteous prophetic knickers all in a knot. The two resident Jesus deniers believe this is proof that prophecy is coming alive. The myths of Judaism are just as valid to these two guys as is the Mayan and Catholic myths are.

From James Malm making wild and speculative prophecies over middle East situations and Bob Thiel's self-declaration of prophetic importance as the one an only true prophet to the COG today, the idiocy of their views on world events have no boundaries for rational thinking.

From believing rampaging Muslims will bring about the end times to Fatima and popish predictions as harbingers of the end times, these two guys will manipulate scriptures in order to make themselves look "right." From obscene demands to force people to prostitute themselves to the law to believing there is only one true church active on earth today. Jesus is always cast to the side. Grace and mercy are unknown qualities for men who have turned their backs on the god they claim to follow.

Pining For The New Moon

Leave it to James Malm to make life ridiculously legalistic as he searches for the faintest glimpse of the New Moon in order for him to officially declare the Feast of Trumpets is happening.  Imagine parking your sore butt on some rock on the hillside with your binoculars out as you continually scan the horizon for the faintest glimpse of the new moon.  This is what happens when you bastardize the law into something it was never meant to do.  Just like he waits for people to crawl over the Judean hillsides looking for the first grains of barley he places all of his energy in prostituting himself to the letter of the law instead of understanding what Jesus did and accomplished.  Just like Bawana Bob Thiel, James Malm has placed his faith in something he can never completely accomplish. They each search for the unattainable.

The New Moon was NOT seen from Jerusalem or anywhere in Israel this evening, therefore the first day of the Biblical Seventh Month will begin at sunset ending 11 September and the Feast of Trumpets will be all day until sunset Sep 12. 

Early on Sep 11 there will be a post on the New Moon as it applies to the Feast of Trumpets. Tomorrow afternoon at 19:00 EDT there will be a post on events during the period between Pentecost and the Feast of Trumpets.  There will also be a post on the Feast of Trumpets, during the actual Feast on 12 Sep.

Living Church of God On How To Dress For The Feast

Apparently, the boys in Charlotte still think LCG members are too stupid to know how to dress appropriately. For over 80 years now the record is still skipping in the same spots.

What Is Appropriate Dress at the Feast?

General Guidelines: In most modern cultures, coats, collared shirts, ties and nice slacks are considered appropriate attire for men on special occasions. This may vary in tropical climates, yet, in all climates there is a distinction between what is appropriate and what is not. 1 Timothy 2:9–10 explains that ladies should dress “in modest apparel, with propriety and moderation.” This does not include the trendy and immodest apparel that is commonplace for many women in our society today: short, tight, form-fitting dresses, necklines displaying cleavage, bare shoulders, backless dresses, belly-baring tops, etc. Our challenge as Christian men and women is to come out of this world (2 Corinthians 6:17) and recapture true values so we can be lights to a world that has lost its way (Matthew 5:14–16). This is especially true as we gather to celebrate the Feast of Tabernacles—picturing Christ’s glorious reign on earth!

Beachwear

Beachwear at the Feast for ladies should be a modest one-piece or a modest tankini (covering the mid-section); and for the men, no Speedo-type swimsuits, except when pool facility rules require them. Fathers and husbands have a responsibility to be leaders in the family to teach and guide regarding what is appropriate and what is not (Ezekiel 22:26). 

Special Music

In most Western-culture settings, the appropriate clothing for men doing special music is coat and tie; for ladies, a dress or skirt and blouse that are modest and conservative. Because being on an elevated platform or stage at the Feast makes hemlines appear higher than they actually are, a good rule of thumb when performing special music is for a dress or skirt to at least reach the knees, including when seated. Avoid high slits in a dress or skirt. If dress attracts undue attention, it will draw the minds of those in the congregation away from their focus on the music and worship of God. For sake of example, those chosen to be on the special music list at the Feast should dress appropriately and modestly, based on these guidelines above, at all times, even when not performing.
