Apostasy

This is a new film coming out this month about life in the Jehovah's Witnesses cult and what happens when a member strays and questions the faith.  There are many parallels to Armstrongism. The JW's also believed the end times were happening in 1975, they practice public disfellowshipment like the COG does, they practice shunning like the COG does, and much more.

It is an interesting side note that Herbert Armstrong had many JW booklets in his basement walk-in safe that were marked and highlighted.  The claim that HWA amalgamated his beliefs from the SDA's, JW's and Mormons, carry way more weight than many want to believe.

And here we go again....God Is Spanking The West With Heat and Fires

And here we go again. High temperatures have hit the western states and have contributed to fires. Que the Armstrongite self-appointed false prophets screeching that it is God's punishment.  Their god is in a perpetual state of pissiness at everyone around them.  Of course, their god is always mad because people around the COG false prophets never measure up to the legalistic rules and regulations that they worship more than God himself.  They need an angry god on their side who hates the people who criticise them and ignore their idiotic rants.  They imagine themselves to be like the prophets of the Old Testament who had God strike their accusers down.

Our favorite self-appointed narcissistic false prophet of that angry god is back regaling us with his tales of woe.

The Bible shows that God uses weather to get people’s attention. Sometimes to punish, sometimes to lead to repentance, and other times to consider that God, not humankind, is in control.

Heat will one day be much worse:

8 Then the fourth angel poured out his bowl on the sun, and power was given to him to scorch men with fire. 9 And men were scorched with great heat, and they blasphemed the name of God who has power over these plagues; and they did not repent and give Him glory. (Revelation 16:8-9) 

Notice also the following about heat:

23 ‘The whole land is brimstone, salt, and burning; it is not sown, nor does it bear, nor does any grass grow there, like the overthrow of Sodom and Gomorrah, Admah, and Zeboiim, which the Lord overthrew in His anger and His wrath.’ 24 All nations would say, ‘Why has the Lord done so to this land? What does the heat of this great anger mean?’ 25 Then people would say: ‘Because they have forsaken the covenant of the Lord God of their fathers…(Deuteronomy 29:23-25)

Fires and the Wrath of God  

Fires have hit many places; Significant wildfires have hit California. Shortly after the start of the Thomas Fire, California Governor Jerry Brown warned that the US President did not have “the fear of the wrath of God.” Does God use fire to encourage people to change? What are some of the scriptures associated with fire in the Bible? What is sin? What are some of the scriptures associated with the wrath of God in the New Testament? Is Governor Brown being hypocritical here? What happened to Sodom and Gomorrah? Is this relevant now? What did Jesus teach about the time of Sodom and the coming time of troubles? The most sincere prayer

Does God listen to the prayers of a person like this, raw and unfiltered, or does he desire 1 hour 

knee-numbing, "I am an unworthy worm in your sight" and help me to keep the law better prayers?

Producing Fruit

Jesus Christ stated that "by their fruit you will know them" and that is the absolute criteria that determines who and who is not a fruit producer.  Some produce sour grapes.  Some produce lemons.  Others produce honey.

Fruit in the lives of human beings is public.  What preachers and pastors produce is public and the fruit of many preachers is GREED and personal VANITY.  Greed and vanity are not desirable fruits.  Humility is a good fruit.  Being a peacemaker is a good fruit.  Taking vain titles such as "elder", "pastor", "senior pastor", "bishop" and so forth are NOT good fruits.  It doesn't matter what the "apostle" Paul said, because he is not the source of truth and light, but rather Jesus Christ is.  Paul was not and is not "master", although millions seem to think he is.  How often I have heard speakers from the pulpits say "Paul said", "Paul said", "Paul said", "Paul said" as if Paul was God in the flesh.  He wasn't!  I care not what Paul said, but rather I care what Jesus said.  Offended?  Follow Paul if you wish, but know this, Paul was not and is not God.

Herbert W. Armstrong was not God either, nor is any leader of any splinter group of the WWCG.  All men are clay or if you wish dirt.  If you think otherwise, just stick around awhile and see how many men wind up in the grave yard and return to dirt (100%).  Every religious guru who stands in a church pulpit and pounds the pulpit with his peculiar beliefs will eventually fade from this life and this world.  Why follow them as if they are somebody?  They are nobody!  Quality fruit is naturally desirable.  Rotten fruit is repulsive!  It is amazing how much rotten fruit stands in pulpits.

Rotten religious fruit is vain, haughty, demands obedience, demands money and compels the naive and the gullible to conform or else,  and thrives upon instilling FEAR in the simple minded.  Rotten fruit seeks followers and wants an endless supply of free money to build buildings and provide a lifetime of free income for its control freaks.  Rotten fruit produces NOTHING of value and makes sick those who eat it.
