Homer Kizer Responds

Homer writes:

I was called to reread prophecy, not to make disciples nor to make nice with bloggers or the little people whose pantry shelves hold more than their minds. I neither ask for support nor take up an offering at weekly Sabbath services or on high days. And without asking for support, I am truly more financially impoverished than any critic I may have—and considering what I write, especially that the Book of Acts is a Trojan text, a Sophist novel, I should have a host of critics. So for the person who will take the time to follow the money, the trail is short: let it be known, I don’t reread prophecy, placing in print, hardcopy and electronic, what I find in Scripture because I want the adulation of disciples or the wealth of this world. I have already lived, from my perspective, in the choicest places in North America—the Oregon Coast, Kenai, Kodiak, Dutch Harbor—so it isn’t for material reasons I have declared since 2003 that there will be a Second Passover liberation of Israel, the nation to be circumcised of heart, from indwelling sin and death. I have nothing to gain from declaring a necessarily unpopular message, especially among uncovered firstborns, biological and legal. But it was to this task that I was called, and it is this task that I have done and will do and will continue to do.

Actually, I am surprised by how rare criticism of what I write is, considering the radical nature of what I have placed in print. And I appreciate knowing that someone has read my words. Now, if these readers will take the time necessary to look up the scriptural passages I cite and determine for themselves if I have faithfully cited the passage, using the passage in a reasonable manner, they may still disagree with me but they will find that there is no attempt to deceive, to make disciples, to enrich myself. The work I do is unlike any since the days of the Apostle Paul, and the very small amount of support received about equals what is spent on websites and office supplies. The bulk of my income comes from the work of my hands, past and present.
Would I have more credibility if there were many disciples and a mega-Church-complex, a television and radio broadcast, a slick magazine (that says nothing), and a reporter in Jerusalem … no, I wouldn’t. I would merely have more critics, with more screeching, squealing, their diminutive minds scurrying about searching for discrepancies (where I said such and such in 2003, but now say something a little different in 2012, as if I ceased to grow in grace and knowledge when setting out to reread prophecy).

My credibility will come with the Second Passover, or wouldn’t come ever. And that is fine with me. HK

Malm Planning a Spring and Fall Feast Site

After months and months  of declaring that he would NOT be starting a feast site, The Malm has changed his mind.  He is anticipating between 200 - 2,000 people showing up.  That's quit a haul for money so I can see why he wants to do this now. The Malm has been desperate for money  lately and this is a slick way to bring it in without begging.

The Malm is advocating that all his members take off 7 days in the Spring to keep the Feast of Unleaveneds and then another 9 days in the Fall.  I guess he is trying to imitate HWA when he also kept a 7 day spring feast.

I will now begin planning for a Spring ULB Feast Site, and will also begin to set up a fall Feast site for 2013.

For the fall site I will be looking at several venues beginning with Sioux Falls SD USA and the Central States, looking for a central location.  At this point the location is not established and I would be grateful for any other  suggestions.   I am looking for a meeting site that will accommodate about 200 with the option to expand to accommodate at least 2,000, and I am more concerned about affordability [in accommodations, food and meeting halls] instead of a high impact vacation spot.

He said several months back that the COG's that have Feast sites in popular toursit areas are sinning.

Perhaps Apostle Malm would like to really set an example and take his flock to Detroit, Michigan.  I am sure there are some great rates there.  Think of the Christian witnessing you would be able to do!  You could bring a foretaste of the Kingdom of God to the poor of Detroit.

Malm Admits Miniscule Chance of Abomination of Desolation Being Set Up This Year

Darn it!  I was looking forward to the miracles to come flowing out of the Pope's fingertips in two weeks.  Now we have to wait another year because Apostle Malm screwed up his calculations.  Don't you just hate it when that happens!

Another epic failure.  Ho hum.

I believe that the time threshold for this pope dying and being replaced this year has been passed.

That means that only two possibilities remain.

1)  Either Benedict is empowered as the abomination on the appointed day, or

2)  this is NOT the year and we have another year to turn to our God and make ourselves ready.

I believe that the probability still exists for Benedict to be empowered, however that probability is now down to only a minuscule possibility.

The primary basis for speculating that there was a very good chance this year, was because the count from the resurrection on the 1,290th day of Dan 12, on the sixth day of ULB, ended up exactly on the day before Pentecost.

Pentecost representing a new beginning with God’s spirit being poured out on all flesh.

In fact, 2012 was an excellent probable year for the abomination to be set up and that could still happen, although it would be a real squeeze; as there appears to be not enough time for the coming war and its aftermath.

But the fool did not learn his lesson.  Like Rod Meredith, Herbert Armstrong and all the others, he just moves the date forward.

FYI  The count back 1,290 days from April 18th 2017 ends about Oct 6th 2013 for the setting up of the abomination.  Anyone wanting to do the math to confirm is most welcome:  Count back 1,290 days with April 18, 2017 being the 1,290th day.

The count to Pentecost:  Count from the 1,290th day on April 18. 2017, forward another 45 days.  This should land on a date BEFORE Pentecost, which will be on Jun 4th 2017.

The Master

There is a new movie coming out that deals with a con man starting a cult similar to Scientology.  It has been getting rave reviews.  Given our history of being involved in another man made cult this might be a great movie to check out.

“The Master” is a dangerous movie. I can’t remember a time in recent memory when I worried about what characters might do when they entered a scene. But when Joaquin Phoenix comes into a frame or scene at any time in “The Master,” you’re really concerned he’s going to hit or kill somebody, or do something utterly wild and unpredictable. His character, Freddie, is an alcoholic and a sociopath. Freddie has just been discharged from the Navy at the end of World War II. He’s a sexual deviant, who we learn later was abused by an aunt. Freddie is also a loner, a drifter whose temper is so bad he can’t hold a job. And then he meets Lancaster Dodd, and his life changes completely.

Dodd is played by Philip Seymour Hoffman. He comes with a family–wife Amy Adams, a daughter and son in law, and a son. What is Dodd? He says he’s a writer and a nuclear scientist, among other things. But he’s also already come up with his own religion, a cult called The Cause. His own son says later that Dodd is just making it up as he goes along. But his wife is sold and is his collaborator. The son in law sees opportunity in it as well. And soon The Cause picks up a couple of wealthy female patrons, played by Patty McCormack (star of “The Bad Seed” in the 1960s) and the much missed Laura Dern. (I wish she were in more movies. She’s spot on.)

There’s so much going on in “The Master,” you almost need two hours and 17 minutes to dissect it. It’s a gritty, edgy, uncomfortable film marked by Freddie’s deviancy and Dodd’s avuncular unease. Phoenix and Hoffman are completely riveting, never once hit a false note, and keep the action moving. Amy Adams peels back a new side of her very interesting, onion like sensibility. She seems to always have new tricks to show us. Knowing that Hoffman and Phoenix are show stoppers, Amy works along the edges until she sees her moment. She’s absolutely terrific.

The Cause is not Scientology per se. But it mimics it. The courses are called “Applications.” There are kind of EEG machines. There’s a violence to the Cause, mostly instigated by Freddie, that has been associated with Scientology. I was reminded of a lot of things– including Oprah tearing up every time a new New Age guru stops by with a book of aphoristic gobbledygook. Dodd knows he’s making it up as he goes along. Wait for the scene when Dern meekly questions something in his book. He’s contradicted an earlier stand. Dodd–Hoffman–loses it, and we get a glimpse into his Machiavellian mind.

But the sham that is The Cause is unveiled–at least for the audience. When Hoffman/Dodd finally reveals his big discovery–what will change everyone’s lives–you just shake your head. It’s as mundane as the stuff that comprises other cults’ revelations. The emperor has no clothes.

The review ends with this:

It’s not an easy movie, it’s not “The Artist” or “The King’s Speech” in that it’s happily embraceable. “The Master” is very sophisticated, mature filmmaking. I’m glad they’re releasing it on Septmber 14th. It’s going to take at least two months for every one to digest it and discuss it before the cacaphony of awards season starts.  “The Master” is a Masterpiece of Filmmaking

The Name of Elijah To Come Is Daniel Dawson! Woo Hoo!

Here is another crackpot Armstrongite that believes he is Elijah.  Reading his blog they look like pleasant people, but are just more in a line of COGers that believe they now need to be Jewish.

So, two forces or supermen will be in the forefront before the day of the Lord: the son of man, Elijah the prophet (Ez 2:3-5; Mal 4:5), and the man of sin, prince of Tyre the false prophet (2 Thes 2:3-4):
-         The Man of the sin, the False prophet: will represent Satan, the devil (2 Thes 2:8-11 ;Rev 13:11-17)
-         The Son of man, Elijah the prophet: will represent God (Ez 2:3-5; Mal 4:5; Matth 17:11).
Daniel, the son of man named by God, who will talk to the man of sin at this endtime, cannot be Daniel the prophet of the Old Testament, who died long time ago, and is still waiting in the grave, the resurrection of the saints (Dan 12:9,13 ;Heb 11:39-40).
Daniel, the son of man who is Elijah, is also the descendant or son of David; his name, then, is literally: “Daniel-Son of David” or “Daniel Dawson”, as God has called him before his birth (Isa 49:1; 45:3-4).
Jesus, another descendant of David, was also called: Jesus-Son of David ( Dawson ) – (Matth 15:22; 20:30-31; Mark 10:47-48; Luke 1:32; 18:38-39).
So, the name of Elijah to come is DANIEL DAWSON (Judge of God-Son of David)!Sabbath Fellowship

Dawson is part of a small Messianic group that meets in peoples homes in Washington State.  Given the number of "elijah's" that have come to the forefront in Armstrongism over the last 70 some years, I wonder which number Dawson is?  780? 70? 200?
