Pasadena Campus Wrecked (1)

You would never know this was the former monument to Herbert Armstrong.  It was already run down and the windstorm took it's toll big time!  There are also a few shots below from around Pasadena.

Thanks for the pictures. I recognized some of the areas, like those magnificent Italian Cypress, some of which I helped plant back there in the late fifties.

I have made a point ever since I was laid off to stay away from the property. I have no attachment to it at all now. I was shocked though at how run down it seemed. Since most of the upper campus is bank owned now they could care less. Their goal is to tear it down anyway. It was weird walking around the place again. I have little desire to ever walk around it again.

If I happened to be nearby, I might take a look, but there's no longer any fond attachment to the place, quite the opposite.

The place is cursed. I say let the bulldozers finish the job.

Now would be a good time for the Old Ambassadors to break out in song on the upper campus with a Feast Special with dead Big Bird (killed by falling branches).

Heavy punk death metal should do it -- something really depressing, in keeping with the supposed "God's Work" of a dead false prophet.

Times have changed.

Go with it.

Hey! At least it wasn't smoggy!

And the Ancient Ambassadors sing:

Consider yourself ALONE!
Consider yourself not of our family!
Consider yourself ALONE!
It's clear,
We're..
Not going to get along!

If it should chance to be
You should see
Some harder days
Empty larder days
Gone spouse?
Alsyas a-chance we'll make you
To foot the bill
Then you'll see each one of us is a louse!

Consider it your fate,
We don't want you to fuss,
For after your ultimate sacrifice we can state,
Consider yourself
Thrown under the bus!

Consider yourself ALONE!
Consider youself none of the family
We've taken you so strong
It's clear, we're, taking your money along...

Consider yourself done in,
Consider yourself used like the furniture,
You don't have a lot to spare
Who cares?...
What ever... we'll take your share!

The Ancient Ambassadors can sing this favorite WCG special music song, "When you walk through a storm":

When you walk through the Pasadena wind storm
Hold your tithes up high
And don't be afraid of the Lake of Fire
At the end of the Pasadena wind storm
There's a golden retirement
And the sweet silver song of religious freedom;

Walk on, through the wind
Walk on, through the Waterhouse
Though your dreams be tossed and blown
Walk on, walk on, with your tithes in your wallet
And you'll never walk alone
You'll never walk alone

Walk on, walk on, with your tithes in your wallet
And you'll never walk alone
You'll never walk alone

I am not in any way impugning Big Bird: I'm just sayin' -- a falling branch got him.

I wonder if Stan Rader gave the "OK" for the WCG to have "Big Beak" as WCG's own and not infringe on copyright of Sesame Street's Big Bird.

They both look quite similar.
