Dave Pack: RCG Members Don't Have to Listen To The Opinions of Angels

Dave gives his members encouragement that there will be lots of "public servants" in the kingdom to help them...angels.  Since angels are highly intelligent and have opinions, it is up to the RCG members to decide if they want to listen to them or reject their opinions.
One encouraging thing is you have a huge number of public servants, who are angels…but hey, you’re judging them, they’re not judging you. That doesn’t mean they couldn’t have an opinion, if God has built into their minds the ability to offer one, and they can certainly carry out things. You don’t have to carry them out. So you’re not standing alone, and maybe it depends on how much character you brought to the table. Because, remember, skills and experience are not transferable. Character—to God—holy, righteous, perfect character—including how much you serve—is absolutely transferable. That is the one thing He cannot give you…but knowledge of how to do everything that you need to do, you cannot possibly bring to Him…or wisdom or these other gifts.

That is great news that we don't have to listen to angels. If we don't have to listen to them, then certainly we don't have to listen to you.

Did you get it, Dave?

He's speculating about things that are obviously quite unknowable. That seems to be one of the hallmarks of Armstrongism, and it's something that requires years to get rid of in order to once again begin thinking logically. Unfortunately, there seems to be a bit of Gerald Waterhouse in everyone who ever passed through the Armstrong experience. Clearly, Herbie and the guys wanted us to see them as visionaries. Pack is attempting to portray himself in this same light. The guy daydreams about as much as Eric King. The thing is, there isn't room for wild speculation in an environment where people are taught to take every word from their minister as if it had come from Jesus Christ. They set the rules and then violate the logic of those rules!

You also don't have to listen to the opinions of Davie Pack.

And frankly, you may come out better listening to the angels....

Angels are groaning at the thought of Dave getting into the kingdom.

Speculating about things that are obviously quite unknowable is a hallmark of the nutcase evangelical Christian crowd. It doesn't help that they're soft targets of extremist pundits who claim that the Democrats plan to take away their guns and their Jesus, etc.

It reminds me of kooky COGers thinking that people are (Satan-inspired and) hell-bent on taking away their Sabbath- when, in actuality, nothing could be further from the truth.

David Pack has accused other COG ministers of “vomiting” on their audiences.

Now, David Pack cannot stop vomiting on his own audience.

Puke!
