Was God the Father Active at Creation and in the World Today?

For those religiously inclined...

James Malm, the Chief Pharisee and official bastardizer of the law, is having a meltdown over United Church of God's recent stance on whether or not God the Father was active in the world at creation and in this present age.

An acolyte wrote:
The conclusion reached by the Doctrine Committee was that God the Father and the Word were and are both very active in all of Scripture. The paper did not receive support to move forward.
I couldn’t resist laughing at this. Has the COE decided the Father and Son are not very active in the Old Testament? Talk about puzzling.
The Chief Pharisee responded with this:
This is complete error, since the Father was NEVER active in any part of scripture beyond using the Holy Spirit to call some to him (John 6:44) through Christ. The Father will be present at the wedding feast in heaven but since creation he has NEVER been present on the earth; until he will later come with the New Jerusalem.
Sin has separated humanity from the Father and as soon as sin entered in the Father left. The Father is not and has never yet been active on the earth since original creation; Jesus Christ taking care of the things on the earth as the mediator between mankind and the Father.
Yes, the Father was mentioned in scripture but he was never active on the earth. John 5:37 And the Father himself, which hath sent me, hath borne witness of me. Ye have neither heard his voice at any time, nor seen his shape.
James

All of which is about as meaningful as debating whether Flying Spaghetti Monster's noodly appendages smell of garlic or of olive oil.

I have never seen a man who can get his levitical panties in a wad so quickly and so often as Malm does. My three-year-old does not throw this many tantrums!

If he's omnipresent, how can he come and go like this?

"...the Father was NEVER active..."

Huh. Just like every other god. Coincidence?

James has gotten really cranky now that his girlfriend has deserted him.

UCG has gone extremely confusing of late. This is yet another unclear, confusing stance. It is not a good indicator.

They’re all making “best guess” anyway, and then pretending to have the answer, and speaking it authoritatively, expecting people to believe them, and to support them financially.

Even if God had had anything to do with Armstrongism in the first place, much has become obscured since old Hog Jowls bought it. Followers are better off making their own educated guesses about these things, just as all of the authority figures are doing.

This seems to be an emerging topic among some of the splinter groups.

Although not the exact topic discussed here, Church of God, The Eternal is teaching that Jesus was not the son of God until he arrived in the flesh in the New Testament. They claim that HWA taught this, so they believe it.

I see no substantiation for their claim. Just because he wasn't mentioned in the Old by the use of the word "son", does not mean he wasn't. To the contrary, a better argument can be made saying he has always been the son.

I think these topics are a waist of time. They do not edify brethren at all. In my opinion, there more kin to blasphemy.
