"THIS IS A SICK HERESY"

While I am no fan of Vic Kubik considering how I watched his manipulative and underhand actions as he and others plotted to form the United Church of God while still working in the WCG, Kubik's LifeNets has certainly changed the lives of many for the better. To that, I give him kudos.

The above post on Facebook has deeply offended Samuel Kitchen. Check out his deeply rooted misogyny thanks to decades of it being practiced in the church. This has absolutely NOTHING to do with deemphasizing men, as Kitchen claims below.

This is appalling:

"Impowering the girl child".

What about the male child? What about the future FATHERS and MEN?
THIS IS A SICK HERESY. To emphasize "empowering women" is something Satan used on mother Eve.
Empower the men! The husband's the fathers! Strengthen them!
Woe unto those who call evil good and good evil. We cannot be teaching the things this world teach. Why must the post be used to empower "the girl child" why not empower "THE CHILDREN"? But the emphasis is to DE-EMPHASIZE THE MAN. That destroys families and is against the God ordained family unit!
That then is a bona-fide definite HERESY! REJECT IT AND THOSE WHO PROMOTE IT!

Sometimes we see comments that are so appalling, that words just fail. Apparently, these people want to yank everything back into the bronze age. Just because someone mentions their mentoring activities with one individual, it does not imply that they are shorting or elliminating anyone else, or favoring one gender over another. Sam probably doesn't even realize the extent to which he has read his own personal biased beliefs into an innocent everyday situation.

Hey, Sam. The Bible says that we'll be judged in the same way that we judge others. Would you appreciate being condemned for one of your good deeds because some calloused bumpkin made a leap in his analysis of your activities? I'm not judging you, because I know what organization provided the examples by which you live your life. And, I watched the ministers on numerous occasions do exactly as you just did. We really shouldn't be perpetuating or reenacting their sins, we ought to be repenting of them.

Looks like Kitchen got left at the altar in Jerusalem. Let's get back to washing windows, please!

There's the narrow gate. Some women are beaten down and oppressed and in of need liberating, while others are battle axes. I wonder what the apostle Paul would have thought of Ma Kettle?

There is another reason aside from alleged Biblical heresy why some older men pay special attention to the girls and neglect the boys. Let's hope UCG has oversight procedures in place to ensure that the girls are truly being uplifted, and not being abused.

"One day a man was walking along the beach when he noticed a boy picking something up and gently throwing it into the ocean. Approaching the boy, he asked, “What are you doing?”

The youth replied, “Throwing starfish back into the ocean. The surf is up and the tide is going out. If I don’t throw them back, they’ll die.”

“Son,” the man said, “don’t you realize there are miles and miles of beach and hundreds of starfish? You can’t make a difference!”

After listening politely, the boy bent down, picked up another starfish, and threw it back into the surf. Then, smiling at the man, he said…” I made a difference for that one.”

God help the new Mrs. Kitchen, if she did marry him!

I love that. It's funny though I've heard that story a couple of times at FOT.

Of all the incredible evil and terrible things in the world right now, and the consuming of people as human fuel for war, exploitation, and this is what Kitchen has to complain about?? And it's a good thing as well!

Kitchen , stand back, get a larger perspective on the world, take a deep breath, and get your head out of your rear!

But Tonto, his head isn't up his posterior nether region. It's up HWA's, just like Waterhouse was and Flurry, Thiel, et al., still are. White faces, brown noses.

Women today have way too much power and way too many perks. It's too risky to get involved with them. They often make false accusations.

Thank you Dennis. This is the exact frame of mind I developed after leaving WCG. I own a small business. I will never be IBM, Microsoft, or Apple. But I can make a difference in the lives of the staff who work for me. And I do.

I love the allegory you shared. Thank you for making me smile and for reminding me how my life has value.

Many men and WOMEN within the Church's environment are of the same thinking as Kitchen.

I am a strong woman, who has had to work and take care of myself because of having an abusive husband. So, any chance I get I try to help girls in the same position by showing them they are worthy, strong women who can take care of themselves and to walk away like I did. Girl power rocks, cause it is US who births the babies and supports them. We don't have husband's that support us so we can stay home and eat bonbons.

Just to add to Terry’s comment, some of us are married to strong men who want to support their women. These strong women appreciate their strong men and they don’t just sit around eating bon bons. They are stay at home wives, mothers, entrepreneurs, homemakers, homeschoolers and more.

I'd just love to see some of these COGlodyte men with navel observatories unknowingly hook up with a woman who has military experience, and can kick most guys asses. And, that is not an impossible fantasy, either! Women who have served in the military are fairly numerous these days. As Granpappy back home in the Appalachians used to say, "That'd learn 'em!"
