Dave Pack--Marshall Applewhite: Tell Me the Difference?

Heaven's Gate was an American UFO religious cult based near San Diego, California. It was founded in 1974 and led by Marshall Applewhite

"If you want to go there, then you have to follow me, because I'm the guy who's got the key at the moment"

Heaven's Gate I

Which finally leads to Applewhite's final message

Marshall Applewhite's Final Message

Or as David C Pack puts it...

"My job was to tell you what God says, not to make a pronouncement. So tell you what God says. I've shown you from the Bible. The best I could believe me. This series is more over than it could ever be. You saw tonight and have heard for over five years and you know, 500. And I don't know, way up there, way over 560, 70, 80 hours, because we cut so much out in the early, early years. They were long, but you've heard it and you've seen it. And it looks like we might have about five days... So we might close the series saying, come Lord Jesus.
God speed this day and good night."

Dave Pack: Tells His Few Remaining Faithful That As They Transition Into the KoG They Will Be Unable To Sin But Not Yet Perfect Enough To Be Worshiped

This is what you get when a Church of God ministers has no real theological education from real theologians who instead were taught by booklet queens. COG leaders would never be able to operate without a plethora of booklets telling them what to say.

From #275a
00:32:45 "It's not the Book of Christ. People talk about, 'I worship Christ.' Fine, you can worship Christ, but the Bible teaches you to worship God. When you hold the book of the Lord it's the Word of God. You know, Zechariah 11:11 says, 'And the poor of the flock waited for me (God) and knew it was the word of the Lord.. That's not Christ's word. So, anyway, that's kind of an aside."

On December 26, Dave gave two back to back sermons to his dwindling faithful in Wadsworth. Four hours total with a 30-minute coffee break in between.

Around the 00:25:00 mark of #276, one of the things Dave introduces to his people is a sort of transition period before they are changed fully into spirit. Sounds to me sort of like the opposite of purgatory - limbo while you are still alive. He says, "You get your penny," i.e. guaranteed eternal life, and are just waiting for the change. During this transition period you have the Kingdom of God literally in you and you cannot sin, but you are not yet "worshipable." After you are changed then you are worshipable. All this based on 1 John 3:9 and Revelation 3:9.

As if ANYONE would want to worship Dave and his crew of minions.  What a pathetic group of people!

1 John 3:9  Whoever is born of God doesn’t commit sin, because his seed remains in him; and he can’t sin, because he is born of God.

Revelation 3:9  Behold, I give some of the synagogue of Satan, of those who say they are Jews, and they are not, but lie. Behold, I will make them to come and worship before your feet, and to know that I have loved you.

Dave Pack Tells Man Who Left RCG That It Would Be Better If He Committed Suicide Than To Leave The Church

I received a video clip of Dave Pack speaking to his dwindling faithful in Wadsworth Ohio the other day. Sadly I cannot post it here as Dave and his buddies have forced Youtube to take down any video clip that has Dave featured in it as supposed copyright violations.

This clip is referring to a friend of mine who just left the Restored Church of God.

He was growing weary of being single. There are approximately zero single available ladies in that organization.

I was also a member who was excommunicated and "marked" back in the spring, thus severing me from many meaningful friendships. The reason? I don't believe Pack is the Elijah (as many members don't, but I got cornered by a minister and had to confess my true convictions regardless of the cost).

Definitely a sad situation that has developed in RCG. Pack just isn't able to take a step backwards.

However, here is what Dave said in reference to the following comments that came with the video:

You were required because of a high bar to be patient and wait for Christ.
There was a man who got the letter last week, who had visited headquarters from time to time, who got the letter last week and said I am out of here, I am going to get married. He even (garbled) the letter, he has no excuse. He put a gun to his head and blew his brains out. Maybe he'll repent quickly, who knows. He said I want to go find a wife, I'm not waiting anymore.
