Poor David C Pack!
Exposed as a liar for all the world to see.
Ever since David C Pack was publicly humiliated last October when his dramatic prophecy failed to materialize, he has been hiding out in Wadsworth. The Restored Church of God then became the laughing stock of the Churches of God. Dave has never recovered fully from that.
Surrounding himself with The Sixteen, they are plotting his come back, though this time they are being more methodical in it.
He is also suffering from some health issues with his lungs, so that has kept him sidelined too.
No matter what Dave says now, far less people will not pay attention. That has to be a bitter pill to swallow, especially considering how important Dave thinks he is. With less people listening in and probably never to join him, it means less money. The bottom line in the RCG revolves around money. Dave still thinks that all COG tithes and offerings belong to him. Now that the money is not rolling in, Dave is having to face some financial issues he had not planned on.
All those new buildings in Wadsworth are taking a financial toll on Dave.

The August 31st , 2013 "See right there in Haggai..that's ME," delusion surprized me about Dave. He is more calculating than that and either must have really been bored and needed drama and controversey, as he seems to thrive on it, or was about as foolish and delusional as a man can get.
He may have shot himself and not in his beautiful gospel feet.
The fact that he still has all his "revealings" online with the hundreds of hours or musing , speculating, proof texting and fairy tale telling, must indicate he simply can't admit he was so wrong it should disqualify him from just about everything Apostle like (he's not really qualified anyway) or the delusion continues.
I am sure his inner circle or at least some have "suggested" he take it off the website. Since no one tell him what to think or do, it is still there making a bigger fool out of his personal lack of Biblical history and intent than he has already suffered.
His "7000" miles of chlorinated swimming which didn't lead to his olympic championship for God or his giving up appointment to the Naval Academy for Ambassador College, may be taking it's toll. I probably have a similar 6999 miles of chlorantated sqimming behind me as well. So far so good :) Dave's lung problems may be more a function hot air and being a windbag worn out. Had Dave commanded a battle ship, he'd have started WWIII by now.
Lung issues? Well, who is being cursed? God above is not mocked, whatever a man sows that he will reap. Praise Yah!
Hope they won't have to add one more name to the WWCOG's/COG's suicide statistics

Yah need to grow up a bit Anon. It is appointed unto all men once to die..remember? The idea that sickness and aging amongst the aging COG types is related to Yah cursing is as yahdiculous as claiming every spring tornado is yahtryingtogetourattention. Yah being as foolish with the Bible as Dave is.
PS In the evolution of El and his Elohim or Council of the gods in Genesis, Job and other places, Yah or YHVH was not the chief god. Yah was subordinate to Elyon and perhaps, at best the number one Elohim or "god of el" (Forget all that HWA stuff about "let US make man in our image baloney. The "us" was not any Jesus to be.
Deuteronomy 32:8-9
New International Version (NIV)
8 When the Most High (Elyon) gave the nations their inheritance,
when he divided all mankind,
he set up boundaries for the peoples
according to the number of the sons of Israel.[a]
9 For the Lord’s (Yah/YHVH) portion is his people,
Jacob his allotted inheritance."
In other words, Big God Elyon gave little god Yah/YHVH the people of Jacob to be Yah's portion to supervise. I don't know who got the Vikings, but it may have been Thor.
This verse speaks of two gods as Israel was harly monotheist to begin wth. They were henotheoist believing in many gods as witnessed by their rules against them by the priesthood. Also, El or Elyon knew there were other gods too an was a jealous god so just made it wrong to bring them into his presense. That's what "You shall have no other gods before me" means. Reason? Jealous!
Just sayin
Now back to Mr. Hack...
Deu 34:7
And Moses was an hundred and twenty years old when he died: his eye was not dim, nor his natural force abated.
Heb 6:6
If they shall fall away, to renew them again unto repentance; seeing they crucify to themselves the Son of God afresh, and put him to an open shame. (Dennis!)
You are hopeless! It's amazing how you read many books contradicting the word and yet hold on to them/their writers as truth and refuse the scriptures, but this is what happens when we follow men like HWA (reprobate mind).
One line moved you to write many words to no avail! El/Elohim means mighty one and you are serving a mighty one below. Satan too can quote as well as you and better.
Pack will be back again with more egregious public announcements and predictions.
Pack operates like a Herpes virus... has occasional "outbreaks" infects a few others, and then goes back into remission.
"El/Elohim means mighty one and you are serving a mighty one below. Satan too can quote as well as you and better."
Grow up. The only thing sillier than having an imaginary friend, is having an imaginary enemy. All these things your imaginary friend is supposedly going to do for you, well, they're never going to happen. Your silly yahweh is going to let you down because he was made up by a bunch of Canaanites writing on clay tablets 4000 years ago. Only you haven't figured that out yet. You would be wise to get your expectations in line with reality. That's what adults do, at least.
I wonder if Dave is being a hypocrite and is seeking medical treatment for his lung problems. My money is on him being a hypocrite!
Nemesis of Pack
Entrepreneurial types in all fields face incredible stress and pressures. I cannot for the life of me imagine the additional pressures one would take on by claiming to be a Biblical type character and then being required to go to Herculean lengths to live up to that. Why would the owner of a successful health food store, or a successful naturopath do this? Seems to the outside, objective observer that something, somewhere, snapped.
I expect that we will soon see more and more of these Armstrong-scam franchisees receiving their just rewards, as Ron Weinland has done already. Warning: Train wreck ahead.

No he can't. I exist.

"And Moses was an hundred and twenty years old when he died: his eye was not dim, nor his natural force abated. "
Aside from doubts about the reality of Moses as told in the myths, I wonder how they knew his
"natural forces" were just fine? Unless you don't know what that means. Just before he died did he say, "just you know, I'm dying of other stuff but my ability to ___ is just fine."?
Instead of "growing up", Dennis, become like a child accepting the word/baby needing milk. Such foolishness!
All is vanity, Dennis!
This is not the first time you attack me on here just for my few words. It is not me you are hurting!! Stop feeding the beast!

I'll sit before science and good Biblical and historical scholarship done well as a little child and go where it takes me...but thanks
"All is vanity, Dennis!"
Now we agree
"This is not the first time you attack me on here just for my few words. It is not me you are hurting!! Stop feeding the beast"
Won't be the last either if you pop up and make bold judgmental statements about my experience, study, intellect, story or conslusions drawn to date outside the Book.
I'm not attacking you. Satan can speak a few words too..oh wait, you already used that one on me :)
I am balancing your bold declarations and simple quotations without background or context. This started because you connect someone having a lung or health problem with for sure knowing it is God cursing someone...remember?
Would you like to address Deuteronomy 32:8-9 and explain how it is not a superior god Elyon, assigning the inferiour but first in the Council, YHVH, over Israel and the land they inhabit?
More nuts have been falling from the two trees.
So are we relabeling refutation as "attack" now? Up until somebody who prefers to remain unknown likened Dennis to Satan, there wasn't anything posted that rose to the level of "attack".
BB
Dave Pack's sermons tend to be on the dramatic side. He tries very hard to get people to act via dramatic revelations. After the sermons we followers would look at each other with awe at the great truths of God being revealed through His apostle to us.
So I do think Dennis is right as Dave needed drama and revelation to get people to act with their bank accounts to further the work of the RCG.
Dave oftened talked about how he and HWA both are alike in the fact that they think big and act on faith with their plans. Meaning they would pay for something anticipating a 30% increase in funds that God would provide.
This probably has not happened.
I do hope Dave recovers completely for I don't want the RCG to go away. And it will if Dave passes or is rendered incapacitated.
Deu 32:8
When the MOST HIGH.... Deu 32:9
For Yahweh's portion...
El/Elyon (singular) = Most High
Elohim (plural)/Gods/Lord= Mighty one/ones
Yahweh/LORD = Father
Alleluyah = praise Yah/yahweh
"Deuteronomy 32:8-9 and explain how it is not a superior god Elyon, assigning the inferiour but first in the Council, YHVH, over Israel and the land they inhabit"
You are seeing things that are not there! Much like Pack! Now, there is a Father signing things over to the Son and they are ECHAD/ONE/TOGETHER in mind/thinking..
(KJV) Psa 68:4
Sing unto God, sing praises to his name: extol him that rideth upon the heavens by his name JAH, and rejoice before him.
There is no J in Hebrew or Greek, but JAH (should be Yah short for Yahweh). Just because translations had/have it wrong don't mock the Creator. There is only one Father and one Son.
Hey now that we have that settled, what are Nephthalim?
I saw the movie Noah.
Enquiring minds want to know.
[Be careful now, you never know when someone else knows more than you do.]
Mr. Anon
Your exegesis is very flawed. Your understanding of henotheism and not strict monotheism is poor and rife with emotional feelings and needs rather than realistic historical understanding.
Yaweh was Israel's God, appointed by Elyon as noted in Deut 32. No real theologian denies that it speaks of two gods in the text. Many are surprised those verses made the cut because they reveal that Israel was not monotheist by a long shot. Monotheism won the day (Stoning can do that) but was not the only game in Israel for it's entire history..El himself is merely the Hebrew version of the Canaanite God they found in the land and adopted. That's just how things work and nothing springs from a vacuum as they
say.
Note reality of the gods in the texts.
While our culture has morphed into "well there aren't really any other gods..." there were plenty back then
"Who is like you O Lord, among the gods (Elohim) Who is like you, maestic in holines Exodus 15:11
You shall have no other gods before me Exous 20:3 (Better read, "You shall bring no other gods (which existed) into my presence....for I am a jealous god." (There is no need to be jealous if there is no competition for affection and loyalty)
"When the Most High (implying less high ones)Elyon, apportioned the nations when he ivided humankind, he fixe the boundaries of the peoples according to the number of the gods, (bene Ysirael=God's Children"). The Lord's own portion (that given to Yah) was his people. Jacob his allotted share Deut 3 :8-9
"For the Lord is a great God (El) and a great King above all gods (Elohim) Ps 95 :3
The OT gives plenty of room for the nod to many gods that did exist in the minds of the people. Evolution of thought took time
2 Kings 3 portrays YHVH at first winning against a foreign god, Chemosh, and losing big time.
Would like a good explanation of "Ye are gods (Elohim) but ye shall die like men" found in Psalm 82 ?
PS I respect your views as I do those of others that , to me , are stuck in repetitive errors, concepts and memes. Our emotional connections and needs often cloud and filter our ability to see what we are unaccoustomed to seeing. That's why we get defensive and accusatory rather than appreciative and intrigued by new information or seeing old information in new ways.
The OT is a very good documentation of the evolution of the gods and final God of a people. You can see it right in the texts. We evolve the gods we need to comfort and inform us through life. It's just what humans do.
How odd that the book begins with God making everyone and everything, getting really angry and wiping it all out save for 8. Then at the end of the Book we have humans getting really mad at God and slaughtering his son, and God loves it and forgives the whole world, born and unborn forever more.
That mock and kill those who bring new information is an old human drama. Fascination an appreciation with better information, compassion, forgive an forget...still not so much.
I never knew one minister in my time that ever disagreed with WCG or the Armstrongs on what the Bible said or meant. That's not growing in grace or knowledge of anykind...that's Zombification
I believe it is good to be informed on what is happening in the area of religion, but does critical condemnation the Christian faith and the bible solve all the problems in human relationships.
It is one thing to expose the abuses that exist in religious organization, but will the ridicule directed at destruction of a persons belief in the bible and the beliefs they may have make them a better human being?
If this is a forum to expose the fallacy of the bible and the Christian faith I believe it will be doing more damage than good to many of those who have suffered emotionally and physically in their religious experiences.
My personal religious beliefs have contributed to a faith, hope, and charity that make my whole life a meaningful experience. This is especially important when l see the problems in the present age. It grieves me to see people critical of the bible and the Christian faith because I understand the true value it has contributed to human life rather than the flaws it may have.

Well, to be fair, most of the men wore robes back then. Maybe it was easier to tell. Maybe the "4 hour or more rule before calling your doctor" dates back to Mosaic times.
Packman can't fail us now! There are so many more tithes to be collected and buildings to be built in beautiful Wadsville OH!!!

Well, whatever. Just as long as Dennis continues to post my comments. That's all that matters.
P.S....Perfect people don't post here. You might want to go somewhere else...Oops, a little Satan twister. Dennis might not post that one! "Down Satan, down girl!"
C'mon now people! Why would anyone wish that any of the splinters based on the quasi-divinity of HWA would continue??? These people are actually waiting for the ressurrection, but not the one of Jesus Christ. They are anticipating the ressurrection of HWA, so HWAcaca can be God's government on planet Earth throughout the millennium. If that were to happen, it means that salvation sucks because the wrong guy has somehow ended up being God, and that heaven or the kingdom are actually hell!
There is no way the wrong team based on false, lying, cruel and angry latter day "apostles" is going to win.

I do believe that there is a role for "Armstrongism" or the "Philadelphia era of God's Church" or what I call, Prophetic COG7 groups, within Christianity.
The best defense of this theology, that I have seen, was given by Garner Ted back in the early 80's on a John Ankenberg program.
The host and audience's only goal was to discredit the Armstrong's version of Christianity, and attempted to do so by nit-picking specific words of the Bible.
Ted's response was simply to say that if traditional Protestantism was correct then the Bible contradicts itself. In essence, he was saying you can't discredit the clear, easy to understand scriptures with murky, hard to understand scriptures. You can see the tree clearer---but the forest is darkened in the minds eye.
Hence, Christianity simply becomes "accepting Jesus" and there is no need to even read the Bible anymore or live by its moral precepts.
And, to me, Dave Pack does represent a man that has dedicated his life to continue this mode of thought. To me, there is a parallel between him and Joshua of the old testament (not the Haggai/Zechariah Joshua, but the follower of Moses Joshua).
I think it was a Biography of "Mysteries of the Bible" program on Joshua, where a rabbi stated that to him Joshua's greatest traits was his faithfulness to the tradition he inherited and his passionate love for God and his own teacher Moses.
Dave Pack, whatever you think of him, does have great love for the Armstrongite God and his teacher HWA.
"I do believe that there is a role for 'Armstrongism' or the 'Philadelphia era of God's Church' or what I call, Prophetic COG7 groups, within Christianity."
Oh you do, do you?
*shakes head, rolls eyes, and throws hands in the air*
Seriously? Soooo...lemme get this straight. You think there should exist within society a valued place for the spreading of demonstrable falsehoods? "Armstrong's version of Christianity" discredits itself, and it is no credit to people who spread it (such as yourself, for example).
And your logic goes, just because traditional Protestantism is not correct that therefore Armstrongism is? A non sequitur, my friend. If a movement is bankrupt, we should look to the fringes of that movement to find something that isn't? I don't think so. That's where you will find the "crazy" amplified.
"Dave Pack, whatever you think of him, does have great love for the Armstrongite God and his teacher HWA."
You say this as though, if it were true, it would be a good thing?
Dave Pack has a great love for himself and your money, in that order. Other beings such as people or imaginary moralistic beings do not make the list, with perhaps one exception—perhaps a child molester. Perhaps. If so, it seems fitting. Or that might simply be part of the show he needs to put on in order to separate you from your money. Dave has no use for ethics, morals, or moralistic beings. But he does have a use for you, even if he doesn't have any love for you.
Speaking of GTA, I remember well how he used to mock mainstream Christian ministers in his sermons. He would stand to the side of the lecturn or pulpit, look upwards while rolling his eyes, put on a fake sanctimonious voice and say something, like:
"Friends, all you you gotta do is jest kinda b'lieve. B'lieve and give yer heart to the Lard, and you'll be saved! It'll be a blessin' to yer heart!"
For years, of course, I took "their" word that that was a fairly apt description of traditional Christianity. The problem is, it was in reality a willfully ignorant, prejudiced and prejudicial misconception, wrongly manufactured into a supposed microcosm. It may be based on something GTA heard on the radio while driving through some backwoodsy area on his way to elk hunting, but nobody in the mainstream teaches it. That attitude is described in the mainstream as being "cheap grace." The pastors warn against it perhaps as vociferously as an Armstrongite preacher warns about the Laodicean attitude.
Certainly, nobody need worry about the Armstrong British Israel and German Assyrian based prophecy model at this point in time. That has been proven to be self-correcting error for the past four decades. Actually, even more, if you refer back to the original dates HWA set for the 1930's and '40's.

I just had a thought- since only Packman runs the True Church™, when Mr. Armstrong resurrects to become one of the Two Witnesses he will have to report to Wadsworth!
Ronco
After a little more thought this evening, I was remembering that Ron Weinland's troubles really started in earnest when he began calling down death curses on the people who challenged him regarding his apostleship and the series of false prophecies that he had to explain away when they failed.
Dave Pack, when he made his false prophecies this past summer actually called for the fiery death of three leaders of competitor ACOG splinters as part of the prophecy. Wouldn't it be ironic if, like Weinland before him, he incurred some sort of penalty or demise? Kind of a John Lennon Instant Karma type of thing.
BB
One of the funniest quotes is, "GOD WILL NOT BE MOCKED!"
I will be happy when the 1335 gets here and all you people who should know better stop and think to yourselves, "hey that church we would always scorn and shoot the lip at where are they?". All of you who are bitter and mad at God because you had to suffer a little bit, why don't you fast for a couple days and ask him to show you where to go. David C. Pack never said he was a prophet, and men even men of God make mistakes once in a while. But I forgot even though the man does not bend on any of Gods doctrines that the Bible teaches and has restored all what was restored by Mr. Armstrong, If he is off by a year are so lets forget all that and run are mouths till the cows come . Because everyone knows David, Noah, Peter, Paul, Abraham, Isac, and Jacob none of those men made mistakes. Right?
Hi to all,
I am currently in the process of exiting The RCG after many years as a member. Many 'red flags' went up with different events, which I kept in 'back drawer' for some time now. For the last month or so, I have had the urge to study the signs and traits of cults. There are soooo many resemblances, it's scary! I am shocked that a human can be so brain washed. It is all truth that RCG is a cult on it's way to disaster, like all other cults. We are taught that we must prove all things, but no members would even dare to proof this pointer. My heart is broken for all those beloved victims in Pack's Cult or in facts followers of Armstrong!! It's all so clear to me now- what a fool I was!
