Dave delivered his awe-inspiring message Wednesday night at his weekly Bible Study and the faithful sat there like idiots lapping it all up. This was sermon 355 in his never-ending series.
Dave instructed his people to SELL ALL (for like the 500th time) and if they haven't done it by now things are going to be REALLY bad for them.

With Dave Pack being only at Part 355 it is impossible to believe that he is anywhere near the END of this series. Dave Pack does NOT shut up that easily or that soon.

Hasn't Dave already fleeced his members dry? What do they have left to give him? How many ministers will sell their homes and their cars? How many ministers at HQ will set the example and sell everything they have?
You and I know the answer to that one, not a single one of them! Deep down they know Dave is a bullshit artist but yet they covet their income and ministerial perks.
I've come to believe that this constant barrage of nonsense from Dave has become an intoxicating narcotic to his followers. They have obviously built up a tremendous tolerance to the point at which they can no longer realize how ridiculous, unreliable, and dangerously speculative it all is. They are seriously jonesing, and are beyond any ability to help themselves.. The lives, health, and financial conditions of addicts remain on a downward spiral until they bottom out, come to their senses, and begin some sort of recovery, unfortunately with severe limitations caused by their years under the influence. It is sad to watch, and becomes even more catastrophic when one realizes the huge number of codependents Dave's stalwarts are taking with them on their perilous ride. If there is any good news, it is that the size of Dave's church is dwindling, meaning that fewer people are getting hurt. The bad news is that remaining members are in for an exponentially worse ride the linger the madness continues.
Jonestown, Heavens Gate, and the Branch Davidians only provided the most violent and sudden model for the conclusion of dangerous cults. Would an ACOG follow this same basic model? Probably not! Because of the beliefs and structures in place, an ACOG would most likely follow the frog method, a slow and painful path, in which the end results would be equally devastating, with possibly an even higher death toll

I'm sure Dave won't set the example and sell all his possessions - like HWA, if challenged, I imagine he would say he has nothing, his things all belongs to "the Church" and he is merely using them.
I'm very surprised that some that come to realize that he is a fraud and has taken everything of worth from them, would have ended him by now. How he is still alive is a mystery.

Sell all that you have!, then what? Live under the bridge in a tent like so many thousands of others in the big city? How much will he get from them then? He doesn't think about the long run, milks everyone dry and leaves them hanging. He has absolutely no concern for the welfare of anyone following him, fruits of the spirit they say, it's all there for everyone to see.
Pack should consider that karma is a bitch, and he will get paid back for the harm he is doing to his brainwashed flock.

Karma is a useless eastern religious belief that I would not count on to help at all.
Dave Pack is doing just fine. It is his victims who are doing all the suffering.
Anyone who thinks that this situation is going to be made right anytime soon could be in for some more delays and some more frustration.
The only way this can even begin to make sense is if Dave's flock believes he is the returned Christ, but is either so humble or blinded by God to realize this wonderful truth. In any other scenario I can think of, Scripture condemns both the followers and Pack for their blatant disregard of Christ's commands.
The Banned Blog can do its little part by trying to expose the false prophets like David Pack, but ultimately, somewhere, sometime, somehow, David Pack's stupid little accomplices will need to smarten up and stop supporting the fraud.

Pack has effectively emasculated the men working under him. None of them have any balls anymore to stand up to him and tell him he is wrong. They are all castrated beta boys. I'd say they were soy boys too, but Armstrongites despise vegetarians, so soy is out of the picture.

The basic problem is that any RCG cult employee who stands up to Dave Pack will simply be fired, disfellowshipped, shunned, and slandered all over the place. Each RCG cult employee is trying to delay the inevitable day when that happens to them. The RCG cult has high employee turnover. It seems to catch up with everyone eventually.

People are taught that true Christians should be willing to do anything that God wants them to do.
Then, a con-artist shows up and claims to be God's one and only true representative on planet Earth.
Once the con-artist fools someone and convinces the person that they are God's one and only true representative on planet Earth, the con-artist can get their victim to do nearly anything they want the person to do.
The victim ends up doing all sorts of things for the con-artist rather than actually doing anything for God. The person's misguided efforts will not necessarily save the person.
Rather than obeying God and pleasing Him, the person might be guilty of ignoring Jesus's warning to beware of false prophets.
I categorize that snare right along with other impossible twists of rhetoric, 4:11. It's right in there with "If God is all powerful, can He create a rock so big that even He can't move it." Or, "You have heard the sound of two hands clapping. What is the sound of one hand clapping?"
They can all be used as trick questions, and well intentioned people get tripped up.
I heard a story from a visiting minister at a church I was attending. The first day the guy walked into services, a little old lady walked up to him and told him that it was God's will for him to become a missionary. He took what she said literally as if it were from God, and had apparently been at it for a couple decades by the time he was speaking to us. I thought to myself, what would have happened to this poor guy if Gerald Flurry or Dave Pack had gotten to him with such a statement? The thing is, I had heard "calling" stories from dorm mates in ice breakers at AC that were not much different. One of the things with which I've had difficulties regarding Christianity and Christians is the fantasy component, the magical, the superstitious. Of and by itself, it's probably harmless, but people use it to manipulate others.

I had just returned from one of eight short-term mission trips to Minsk, Belarus to teach at a Bible College. A dear elderly lady in the church said, "God told me that I'm going to go with you on your next trip to Minsk." I thought the same things as 5:41. If God told her, he would have told me, also. Sometimes we interpret our own desires and dreams as the call of God. Once someone is convinced that they are "called" to some ministry, you can't prove that they weren't, until after the call is answered. Then, by their fruits, you shall know them. BTW, did return to Minsk and no, she never made it there. I guess her sincerely felt sense of a call was just a hope on her part. A frail 80 plus year old woman on a trip to Belarus. Not something I would look forward to. Belarus . . . led by Alexander Lukashenko, the Last Dictator in Europe, the KGB (secret police) following people around, monitoring our activities; hotel room, phone, computer all bugged, horribly cold weather.
If Christ is coming so soon...why would He need to the money? I always wondered about that when I was a member. -- It's also worth noting that the current members are already bled dry, so the ministers are focusing on getting new members through the door. RCG has lowered their standards in recent months just to get fresh meat in the seats. (For example, you can STILL be a smoker, but invited to services...smoking isn't an issue until baptism.)
The goal is to get new, excited people in the seats...having been drawn in by out-dated and downright deceptive literature (deceptive in "we don't believe that any more but we're too busy to update all the literature perpetually" - because it changes month to month), teach them the Common doctrine...get just a few BIG checks from new people before they realize the bait-and-switch tactics RCG is pulling on them. After the check is cashed...who cares if they leave? They contributed to "God's Work."
Why does RCG need money? They aren't doing ANY work! No TV. No Internet. No new books and booklets. They need the money to keep paying the rent on the campus, the horses, new trees every spring, and ministerial salaries. THAT is the "work" RCG is doing.
The things I've heard from former members and former ministers...is appalling.
The folks still there KNOW in their hearts things are not right...but they don't know where else to go. If felt that way for a long time. I have no regrets in leaving...other than I didn't make a big trumpet blast to my fellow brethren to wake up.

That's the evil genius of Pack, which he learned from his tutor Rod Meredith. Once you've convinced the sheep that every other ACOG has gone off the rails and that yours is the only true splinter remaining, their only ways out are to form yet another splinter and claim it is now the true one, or to leave Armstrongism entirely.
Several ministers have left Pack to start their own splinters, but they have all failed, and Pack can point to them as proof of his own legitimacy. It seems the only genuinely effective way out of Packland is to go ALL the way out and leave Armstrongism completely. But when you've spent your whole life in Armstrongism, leaving is almost like committing suicide. So, many hang on and wait for the next major church split, hoping things will be better under the next Apostle/Prophet/Overseer whenever he makes his move.
