Did the Magi keep the commandments when they bought swords to cut fruit off trees at their secular marriages?????

Our very own crackpot self-appointed prophet is currently in Ireland for 2 weeks spreading his message around the Emerald Isle while he does some research. Before Bob Thiel left he set up some timed posts to appear on his blog. Unable to preach anything of relevance he resorted to rewriting old Worldwide Church of God literature, because he had a better interpretation, and dumped a load of that crap on his followers this morning. Does ANYONE outside of his 305 Caucasians care about this kind of crap anymore? His African followers indeed don't. They have more important things to think about than this pathetic drivel plagiarized out of the mother church literature bank.

Is there any COG minister or leader out there that has an original thought in their head? Can they not preach something new and relevant instead of looking back into the glory days for something to preach about?

CCOG Q&A: Fruit, Priorities, Marriage, Weapons, etc.
In this sermon, Dr. Thiel goes over questions and answers that the old Worldwide Church of God received. He provides additional scriptures and comments related to the answers that the old WCG provided. Topics covered include when you should have fruit from fruit trees, buying swords, whether or not the Ten Commandments were done away, prioritizing God over relatives, whether or not the Magi of Matthew 2 were pagan astrologers. incremental healing of the blind man of Mark 8, Peter being called Satan, parables, God’s plan of salvation, validity of secular marriages, whether people should get married during the last days, Peter as the stone, John and the keys, binding & loosing, the first being last, being a Nazarene, and keeping all of God’s commands.

In Spokesman Club, Bob clearly failed the "One-Point Speech" assignment.

Bob who…..?

Looking at the topics ‘Dr’ Thiel covers is enough to induce an enormous migraine.
‘Dr’ Bob covers old topics already covered by others because he has nothing new to provide.
He is no prophet, Booby boy failed to predict the Ukrainian war as one recent example, but as an entertainer he is head and shoulders above the other ‘prophets’.
Entertainment 10/10
Prophet. 0/10
Wonder if Bobby boy will have a Guinness from the local brewery during his Irish jaunt?

incremental healing of the blind man

The "lack of faith" explanation seems to be widely accepted, although that was not stated in scripture, only assumed. One of my first postings to Painful Truth regarded Dr Charles Dorothy's explanation, which was clinical, not spiritual. Dr Dorothy claimed that a certain cause of blindness (and I don't remember what it was) would require a "two step" healing - so this healing actually added some authentication to the account. In a way, I'm surprised Bob took the standard explanation from his folder, as he seems to take some exception to other Q&A answers...

failed to predict the Ukrainian war

I'd never claim Bob to be a genuine prophet but sometimes in his plethora of "possibility predictions" (to sound like Robert Schuller) some may appear to "come true" but you only find out after it happens. I think he said he wrote about Russia "possibly" taking part of Ukraine - this could have been tagged to the annexation of Crimea in 2014, and maybe just referred to the Russian speaking regions.

If I were out searching for truth, or for a spiritual guide, Bob Thiel would automatically repel me, with his endless list of stuff you have to do, and his boring and incessant word salads. What would attract me would be someone whose embodiment of his or her philosophy provided an exemplary approach to life, a muse you just automatically were drawn to follow because he offered satisfactory answers to the deep philosophical questions which all of us have, and could unlock the secrets as to how to navigate around life's challenges. Someone who provided a higher high road.

I understand nerds. There are people who have zero social skills who are savants, and although their personalities repel you, you know they have some answers that you need. Try as he might, Bob Thiel is not one of these people. He is not even an effective regurgitator of
Armstrongism! Can anyone cite one example which validates him, and demonstrates that he is not a total waste???

In his famous March 1980 leaked letter to Rod Meredith, HWA wrote, "You rub the fur the wrong way" and "you have a will to lead, but not the qualifications" and "you do not attract people, you repel people."

Bob seems to have chosen Rod Meredith as his role model, and it fits him well.

MY COMMENT - I CAN!

You obviously haven't seen the Dr. from a mail order degree mill Bobby Thiel transform himself into Cartoon Bob. His Cartoon Bob animations validate that he is not a total waste as they are very entertaining and comical to watch. If you want a good laugh, check out Cartoon Bob.

Sadly, after much fanfare touting that God opened the door of animation to the Continuing Church of God, little Dr. Bobby Thiel hasn't produced any recent animations to my knowledge in quite a while. Maybe when he reads this post, the Cartoon Bob character might reappear with a new cartoon for us all to enjoy.

I looked at one some time ago and found it unbearably bad. Awful voicing and soooo boring. Maybe I saw an early one and he got better over time.

At least this time, Dr. Thiel admits he's reaching into the old WCG "Answer Book." Maybe no one's asking him questions anymore?!

Isn't the term magi the plural of magus?
