LCG Believes You Are Being Trained Today In Order To Teach The Old Testament To People In The Millennium

What is the point of the millennium when you have this kind of teaching? Why would they be teaching the world about the Old Testament when the old ways are done away with and the world is restored to wholeness? Isn't the focus on Christ at this point?

Is the Old Testament Obsolete? Many professing Christians have been told that the Old Testament is only for the Jews and Christians now have the New Testament. However, Jesus taught that we should live “by every word of God” (Luke 4:4), and the Apostle Paul wrote, “AllScripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness” (2 Timothy 3:16). Paul even told New Testament Christians in Corinth that Old Testament examples “were written for our admonition, upon whom the ends of the ages have come” (1 Corinthians 10:1–11). In other words, the Old Testament is also for us today! We need to prepare ourselves so that we can explain these inspired Scriptures to the world in the coming Millennial reign of Christ.
Have a profitable Sabbath,
Douglas S. Winnail

Is it just me, or is it that the longer these splinter groups exist, the crazier they get?

Anonymous said...

Yep, that's them, they haven't changed one bit.

Yep, "3rd yr" is 3rd tithe! "Times" means seasons! Seven, not three, feast offerings!

The old ‘many professing Christian’s’ gets me every time.
In other words it’s our way/word or the highway for the ‘others’ or those ‘professing’ lol.
Yeah we are the REAL CHRISTIANS and others simply think they are.
To be honest it makes me want to throw up and vomit.
Arrogant b*st*rds.

Doug is being disingenuous. He only teaches the parts of the Old Testament that he finds convenient. If he truly valued and taught the Old Testament, his Christianity would look a lot different from what LCG teaches and practices.

Anonymous said...

If Doug isn't professing Christianity, just what faith is he professing?

And there are things that professing christians understand that they don't. They actually reject some spiritual aspects in the New Testament. They secretly desire to practice Judaism with their version of Christ posted on the outside of the package.

A freshman at a bible college learns the basic rules for interpreting Scripture. One key feature is to look at the context. Who is being spoken to. The Law of Moses was given to only one group, the Israelites. The Chinese and Bolivians were not involved in this agreement. The rich man was told to sell all that he had and to give it to the poor. He wasn't giving a commandment for the world. The ignorance of these church leaders is appalling which makes their horrible arrogance even more embarrassing. These poorly trained leaders who believe themselves to be the best qualified to teach, make Christianity look very bad. I'm embarrassed to say that I was once a member of the WCG, sat through first year Bible taught by Roderick Meredith and thought I was getting a good education. Fortunately, I was in the church for only four years.

This blog and others do exactly the same thing. Think nothing of calling Sabbath keepers Satanic, even label individuals to be influenced after the very devil himself. Targets even criticised for quoting scripture as 'satan did it'. Same old, same old.
"Stand over there in the corner for WE are HOLIER than thou."

You only need replace the excuse for the nastiness. "They don't believe in the Sabbath", for "they dont believe in the trinity". And hey ho there you go, any excuse to spread hate for others.

After you’re in one of these groups such as “Living” for a while, you begin to see what the problem is. Let’s take Mr. Winnail’s words about using the Old Testament and let’s take them to task on their own doctrine. Let’s take British Israel (Ephraim and Manasseh). Now this is a group that wants you to keep the sabbath, passover holy days and follow the many precepts in the old testament to be obedient to God

Let’s begin: They say they are Ephraim and Manasseh. So let’s go to the OT & what we find is that they are silent when Ephraim and Manasseh appear in the Old Testament scriptures in obeying God after Israel & Judah’s captivities. This is really the conclusion.

#1
1 Chronicles 9:1-3 But Judah was carried away captive to Babylon because of their unfaithfulness. And the first inhabitants who dwelt in their possessions in their cities were Israelites, priests, Levites, and the Nethinim. Now in Jerusalem the children of Judah dwelt, and some of the children of Benjamin, and of the children of Ephraim and Manasseh:

#2 In the days of Hekekiah (earlier)
2 Chronicles 30:18-20 For a multitude of the people, many from Ephraim, Manasseh, Issachar, and Zebulun, had not cleansed themselves, yet they ate the Passover contrary to what was written. But Hezekiah prayed for them, saying, “May the good Lord provide atonement for everyone who prepares his heart to seek God, the Lord God of his fathers, though he is not cleansed according to the purification of the sanctuary.” And the Lord listened to Hezekiah and healed the people.

# 3 In the Days of Josiah (a little later)
2 Chronicles 34:9-10 When they came to Hilkiah the high priest, they delivered the money that was brought into the house of God, which the Levites who kept the doors had gathered from the hand of Manasseh and Ephraim, from all the remnant of Israel, from all Judah and Benjamin, and which they had brought back to Jerusalem. Then they put it in the hand of the foremen who had the oversight of the house of the Lord; and they gave it to the workmen who worked in the house of the Lord, to repair and restore the house.

The problem is hypocrisy, and Christ warned about the leaven of the pharisees. See these Ephraim and Manasseh are obeying God and LCG and other splinter groups ignore their obedience, but want you to obey the God of the Old Testament. They (LCG) want you to focus on these two tribes being lost for thousands of years RATHER than teaching that they were present in the OT obeying God. All the while wanting you to obey God in a similar old testament manner, while forcing BI in their version of the gospel.

It’s like Anon: 3:26 correctly said, they “LCG teaches the parts of the Old Testament that he finds convenient.” And this is one prime example.

Scratch the surface of the ACOGs and one finds that they are morally basically left wing. They praise Ronald Reagan, Margaret Thatcher, Trump etc, but they ignore the core of their platform of limited government, a market economy and personal responsibility. They only side with conservatives because their strong military stance means that it's safe for them to play church. But the church culture is basically left wing with ministers viewing their members lives as their rightless chattel that they have a right to micro manage. Who hears these ministers talking about America's bill of rights? Deafening silence, no?

If Doug Winnail of our Living Church of God here teaches that the Old Testament is a vital part of Christianity (and in this he is correct), then why does he himself throw away Deuteronomy 24:2-4?
"2If, after leaving his house, she goes and becomes another man’s wife, 3and the second man hates her, writes her a certificate of divorce, hands it to her, and sends her away from his house, or if he dies, 4then the husband who divorced her first may not remarry her after she has been defiled, for that is an abomination to the LORD. You must not bring sin upon the land that the LORD your God is giving you as an inheritance."
I asked this of several people here in LCG but they suddenly shut their traps and become uncomfortable. This is what Doug did. So what do our LCG ministers say about it?

Anonymous said...

It's all about those tithes and offerings to stay in that structure of the Old Covenant.

Doug's hatred of God's Law is only the tip of the iceberg. Gerald Weston has allowed Winnail to continue as an evangelist and as the director of LCG's ministers. This makes Weston fully complicit in Doug's brazen rebellion against God's Law. It's enough to make me wonder whether Mrs. Winnail has some kind of blackmail in place against top LCG leaders.

This blog and others do exactly the same thing. Think nothing of calling Sabbath keepers Satanic,

I suspect this comment is directed to those teachers who make sabbath keeping part of a requirement for salvation, rather than the believer as such.

Armstrong's attempts to explain the OT ended up with a lot of confusion, and one is not confident that the offshoots will achieve any better understanding so as to explain in the world tomorrow.

Your comment, ‘Think nothing of calling Sabbath keepers Satanic’ and ‘They don’t believe in the Sabbath’.
Can you point out precisely and clearly where this blog stated the above please. Time and date please.
That would give you a little credibility.

Jerry Weston and a number of his LCG cronies are really more upset about interracial relationships than they are about fornication and adultery. So what does the OT say about that Douglas? When we would ask him to sho us in God's Word about interracial marriage, well he just becomes upset and testy, and then a week or so later he'll shoot off his mouth behind the pulpet at one or more of us in the congregations. Immaturity on his part. No wonder his father didn't really like him. There are those in Big Jerry's administration who think this forbidding interracial marriage stuff is a pile of nonsense. yet for who knows what reason they do not speak up to him and some of the others. I don't know how many times we have asked him to clear things up and simply do a good Bible presentation on the subject. But he does not. And yet he lets alone very clearly known situations that are adultery and fornication in the supposed speartip of the work of God. the people are quite open about what they are doing because they know they can get away with it, and so its no big deal any more in the groups for those of us who see it firsthand. And the members who are doing these immoral things are to the point now where they actually justify their immorality. And Gerald Weston and his ministers knowingly turn a blind eye. And now they want us to take their stuff they write and what they say seriously? I think they have become professional ministers but not personal Christians. so how can new prospective members support such a church? Well either they do because of fear, or they just give up, tow the line and become listless and Laodicean in their approach. Doesn't the Good Book say that one sinner destroys much good? And what of the concept of sin in the camp? The spear tip of the work of God? ??? I had to laugh when we got an announcement that our LCG ministers had a meeting on how we can better spread the gospel and do "the work". Many churches in the Protestant world look for neato gimmicks, and our LCG looks for the magic bullet. Well for a start we should look at simply repenting and lifting up our Savior Jesus in how we live and what we preach by word and by deed. So does anyone on the LCG brass disagree here?

I know they claim to "love God's law", but really come on. Years ago, the LCG minister Rod Meredith formerly used to put homosexuality and interracial marriage in the same sentence. They would kind try and make it a sin. I guess they can start on the subject of the parents of Ephraim and Manasseh coming from an interracial marriage from Joseph and the Egyptian woman Asenath. It's sort of ironic, because that's who they say they descend from (Genesis 46:20). Kind of taboo, although I think United (UCG) did a study on it. Although I think most of them are in the old testament, but I don't think LCG ministers like that portion of Old Testament scriptures. That's them.

Oh no its not, its for you hypocrite.

Yes i will. The "blog masters" know exactly what theyve written.

Prove the blogmasters have called Sabbath keepers satanic...

Hypocrites, you know full well what your female blog masterette has written over the years.

Okay, that's a new accusation I have not had leveled at us before. I'll just let it sit here and age.

3:51, I believe that it is you who have been going through many of the long old threads looking for evidence to support the accusations you make about people calling sabbath keepers Satanic. That's why they have selectively reappeared amongst the most popular of the day on the right of the screen. I've been following you or whomever, reading those same threads and have not seen a single instance of anyone here calling sabbath keepers Satanic, or the ACOGs Satanic.

Apparently you are now presumptuous enough to throw the burden of proof on Gary, suggesting that he go to all the work of producing the proof for you. And by the way, wouldn't you be making better use of your time for your church trying to debunk genetics? That would be another futile activity, but at least you wouldn't be falsely accusint the good people in the Banned community!

Wouldn't it be hilarious if these guys who are against interracial relationships had a wild fetish about them, and were experiencing difficulty controlling themselves in the shower? Or, were worried that seeing these marriages would make their own wives a bit too curious? Why should people have to deprive themselves of happy marriages just for the saie of ministers with bizarre penchants?
