God's most highly favored prophet to ever walk this earth has had to ask Aaron Dean if he could piggyback on UCG's application to have a church in Burundi. Burundi apparently requires that foreign religious groups have a minimum of 500 followers in order to seek to be legitimized by the government. The Great Bwana has been unable to convince 500 Sabbatarians in Burundi to join his group, so he needs UCG's help. Priceless!
Burundi passed some laws on churches a year or two ago, which the government is starting to try to enforce. The law basically states that a church needs 300 people, but it suggests that one with a foreign connection must have at least 500 persons, land, and a building (and maybe multiple ones), in order to register so it can legally operate. This is something I spoke to Aaron Dean of UCG about this some time ago, and we talked again for over an hour when he telephoned me late last Thursday (we also discussed prophetic matters).
The United Church of God (UCG) has applied for official registration in Burundi, but still has not been approved. If they get approved, then they are looking at how to meet whatever other requirements there may be. Aaron Dean told me that he would inform me when, and if, UCG gets its request for registration approved. He believes that UCG may then be able to cooperate with us in the Continuing Church of God in Burundi. So, at this instant, we are hoping that UCG’s registration will be approved and that, once approved, we may be essentially accepted under their approval or instead, perhaps, with a separate application ourselves.
Because we in Continuing Church of God currently have 300, but less than 500 congregants with national identification cards, in Burundi, we are not sure if we can (or should) apply for registration yet–though that is being considered by our leader there. Not having registration (or not applying for it) could cause legal and other issues for those who declared that they want to be part of Continuing Church of God.
So, at this stage, we either 1) need more people fairly quickly in Burundi, 2) see if we can apply for registration anyway and/or 3) see if our cooperation with UCG will, at least for now, keep our people in Burundi out of legal jeopardy.

It would be nice if this could be a step toward COG unity.
Emphasis "would be."
Bob Thiel has no intention of "church unity" with UCG. He is an opportunist and needs their help. He disagrees with them doctrinally and corporately. Many UCG ministers have been very vocal about how wrong Bob is. Many UCG ministers are like almost all LCG ministers. They know what a fraud Bob is.
Are you kidding me? Nothing good will come of this if UCG decides to help Bob. If this goes through, eventually Bob will make a run at taking as many UCG members as he can. Aaron Dean reads this blog, what the hell are you thinking???? Why would you think it is even a remotely wise idea to communicate in any manner with Bob Th(d)iel?
‘step toward COG unity’………..not in your life bro.
That turkey has fled the coop many moons ago.
There would be a bloodbath as to ‘who’ would be the ‘leader’ of any new organisation. Thiel and Flurry will never give up their status, or perceived status, none of them in fact. Dead and dying are the hallmarks of the Armstrong empire and its harlots. Unknown unseen invisible mark them today.
COG co-operation would be welcomed, assuming that it is sincere. Enough of this partisan spirit that defines every COG. These ministers are filthy with their one-upmanship and this party spirit which the Holy Bible condemns as works of the flesh. Mr. Weston and our LCg ministers, his flunkies mostly, are just full of it all.
I don't know why CCOG doesn't try and link up with LCG. Heal the rift. After all, Dr. Thiel came out of Lcg, and his doctrinal views are far more closely aligned with LCG than with UCG. COGWA and LCG have a sort of working beneath the table arrangement, so why not LCG and CCOG.
Truly, UCG can't be this stupid! This will not end well for them. With all of the crazy things Thiel's "evangelists" do, this could cause major blowback on UCG. Plus, it gives Thiel the opportunity to poach UCG members into his group. He has done this to other groups, so he will do it with UCG.
I would have thought, after all of these years, that Aaron Dean had some common sense. Apparently not. Not only is he communicating with Samuel Kitchen regarding his batshit crazy ideas, but he is also communicating with Bob Thiel and his craziness. It is a good thing UCG never appointed him the church President.
Why are some people obsessed with Bob?
Bob is constantly bitching about ecumenical movements in Christianity, and yet the hypocrite seeks to do the same thing.
People are not obsessed with Bob; the issue is that we all know he is a fraud and a liar who is deceiving sincere Christians in Africa. Those people have been easily manipulated by false leaders for decades, and their current leaders are deceiving the people every day into believing Bob is some kind of a prophet. Rod Merdith and LCG knew he was a fraud.
Bob craves the respect of men he knows are more powerful than him. A true prophet wouldn't grovel before Aaron Dean, but after falling out with Daddy Rod our Pseudo Prophet needs to validate his ego by having serious WCG people take him seriously.
What could go wrong with this? I see a power struggle brewing, with each side envisioning it as their divine calling to take over the other's members. Obviously there is more collective brain power and experience amongst UCG, ultimately leaving Bob Thiel at a disadvantage. He has proven himself not to be a wheel. He could not turn LCG. There are also greater financial resources at UCG, and the Africans do follow the money.
For now, there is increased status for Bob, the acknowledgement as a peer which he has not received from anyone in COGdom, in that someone important would contemplate a joint project with him. The smart move would be to temporarily milk that for the pure PR value it offers, but not consummate the deal. Consummating it is checkmate. That places what he has in position to be taken away.
Bob is representative of the splinters. The others are more covert. He's a reminder of what the others are really like.
Armstrongist “COG unity,” at least among the more traditional (read, non-CGI-esque) splits, would indeed make it easier to target. No nuances between them in their veneration of their mighty Lord Armstrong.
Alternatively, it could so water down their adherence to him that the whole movement could lose their doctrinal authority over members, and atomize.
Unity would not improve their outreach, because even watered down, they will still be tainted with the name of that man.
So please, unify.
Exactly 4:22. This blog has a fresh post on Bob Thiel nearly every day. Looks like some in UCG don't want Thiel working with UCG.
I don't know Thiel, but this attitude reminds me of when Ron Dart remarked 'I keep getting invited to preach in UCG congregations by some, and then when others in UCG hear about it, the invite is removed'.
Another opportunity for Booby to name drop, this time Aaron Dean. Booby is desperate for recognition by anyone.
Can you imagine believing a website or an infomercial is “doing a work”?
In the words of Seymour Skinner….
Pathetic
The poobahs and the sheep that bahhhhh every time the tithe basket is passed around are well and truly deaf, dumb, and blind.
You COG lot are the sum of your leaders and there is nothing commendable there. You’ll be a footnote of a cult in a scholarly article.
I dont think he is.
Lake of Fire Church of God
Did Christ say in Matthew 16:18, “I will build my Church as long as you incorporate it and register it with the government”? Richard
I'm just wondering how the typical COGlodyte "spiritual guide" is juxtaposing what we see unfolding around us with what he was taught at AC about end times prophecy. There are all manner of ways to connect the dots using actual events, but the events and probable outcome are vaguely similar to, but nothing at all like the Armstrong theories predicted everything would go down. As an example, I can see Sunday keeping becoming the law of the land, and cryptocurrency being a marker, or tool of enforcement.
HWA outlined a series of processes, such as famine, and the return of disease epidemics. These are not only possible via divine plagues. There are other ways in which they could come into play.
I wonder if Bob consulted the Counsel of Elders in his USA ccog regarding this matter?
Bob doesn't have a Council of Elders- if he did they all most likely would resign, because they would think Bob lost his mind to these WITCHDOCTOR Spells that his African Fake Ministers cast
And you lot live off the wages and perks that tithes and offerings the 'Cog lot' fund. So who's in a worst predicament ?

As I understand it, 8:38, in Africa at least, Bob does have a Council of Elders. Reports indicate that some of the witch doctors no only sit on that Council of Elders, but they are also very valuable to Bob.
Yes, very valuable indeed to fuel his massive delusion of being the top Philadelphian person in the Churches of God. How dare anyone question his authority. He really believes this. A dangerous individual indeed. God hates a proud look, no wonder God allows the WITCHDOCTORS SPELL to work on Bobby. The Sin of Pride, Satan's God Bob fooled into believing he's Top 🐕
I don't know how old this Thiel guy is. But let's say he's around 60. He could die tomorrow or in 20 years time. What then? All will be gone: his "Church", and members will join other groups. And he doesn't see the meaninglessness (😁) of it all? Meaningless, all is meaningless...
Yes, he is.
