Bow down and tremble before the all-knowing prophet, the absolute pinnacle of prophetic genius to ever bless the Church of God since Abel, Enoch, and Abraham deigned to show up on the scene. Some folks dare to whisper that Abel and Enoch were the original prophets, even if they weren't officially labeled as such in the divine HR department. Then along comes Abraham, getting direct hotline chats from God about future events, casually spreading his profound message and his, ahem, prolific seed across the globe like it was no big deal.
And let's not forget the legendary Samuel, whom God oh-so-conveniently used to drop some harsh truths on Eli about his utterly corrupt kids and the impending doom of those pesky Philistines swooping in to conquer Israel and snatch the Ark of the Covenant like it was a Black Friday doorbuster.
Fast-forward to this glorious year of 2025, and aren't we just utterly blessed—nay, dumbfounded—to be graced with a veritable parade of real, live prophets? I mean, we've got heavyweights like Dave Pack, Ron Weinland, Gerald Flurry, Alton Billingsley, and, drumroll please, the crowning jewel: our very own self-appointed, self-aggrandizing crackpot who's yet to cough up a single prophetic utterance that's even vaguely acquainted with reality. But hey, why let a little thing like zero accuracy cramp your style?
Alas, such trifling failures have never deterred the Great Bwana from smugly trashing his fellow so-called prophets and those pathetic Church of God splinter groups as a bunch of deluded, puppet-like morons too dim-witted to grasp scripture with the razor-sharp insight he alone possesses. Ah, the unparalleled perks of snagging your theology degree from that prestigious Indian diploma mill, conveniently housed in a luxurious double-wide trailer somewhere in the subcontinent. Who says God doesn't have a wicked sense of humor? Clearly, the Almighty's rolling in the aisles!
Today, this divine gift to humanity and the Churches of God decided to unleash his righteous fury on COGWA, United, and assorted other COG outfits, branding them as hopelessly ignorant fools who couldn't interpret Daniel 11 if their eternal salvation depended on it—which, according to him, it totally does. He proceeded to ridicule their interpretations as laughably shallow and utterly vapid, so disastrously wrong that they'll be blissfully clueless when the real moment arrives to hightail it to Petra, Pella, or whatever godforsaken dustbowl in the Middle East where the Great Bwana plans to lord over his flock like a desert despot.
He proclaims, with all the humility of a peacock on steroids:

For years I tried to work with LCG on this point as they had a publication written by John Ogwyn that agreed with the sequence that I have taught–that the King of the North invades the USA and Anglo-Saxon nations prior to the invasion of the King of the South. John Ogwyn and the rest of the then LCG Charlotte-based evangelists all told me I was right about that. Yet, LCG has continued with two differing sequences that are in contradiction–which is confusing.
The Great Bwana doesn't stop there; oh no, he even takes a swing at Herbert Armstrong and the old Radio Church of God for their supposed ignorance:
Notice that Herbert Armstrong has Daniel 11:31 first, then the USA and UK getting attacked (Daniel 11:39). While it is true that the old Radio Church of God misunderstood the sequence originally, it changed decades ago–yet some (like in the leadership of PCG, UCG, and LCG) never have understood the change and still prefer to rely on an overridden tradition over the Bible.
But wait, plot twist! He then concedes that good ol' Herb eventually got it right:
From no later than 1979 until the time of his death, Herbert Armstrong correctly taught that the Great Tribulation first begins with an attack by the European King of the North, not that the King of the North first invades the King of the South.
Yet he can't resist circling back to savage LCG one more time. Ouch, that lingering butthurt must sting like a swarm of biblical locusts!
I tried to work with LCG on this for many years, and although their top evangelists agreed multiple times (and at least once it was agreed in a meeting by one of their leaders that WCG had changed its view by the 1970s to the biblical view I was advocating; they never changed their publications to reflect this.
The undisputed king of all narcissists then drops this gem, desperately wishing LCG would finally bow to his wisdom:
Since I was unable to get LCG to change while I was with it, despite agreements by its leaders to fix LCG’s errors on this point, hopefully pointing this error out again will assist them to correct it. Otherwise, this will be another area where those in LCG will misunderstand prophecy.
And for his grand finale, the Great Bwana unleashes his all-time favorite doomsday threat on every Church of God group under the sun:
One to consider is that unless they change their positions, NEITHER PCG NOR UCG NOR LCG OR OTHERS IN MANY COGS WILL REALIZE WHEN THE GREAT TRIBULATION WILL BEGIN AND THEIR SUPPORTERS WILL NOT FLEE TO BE PROTECTED IN A PLACE OF SAFETY IN THE WILDERNESS (Revelation 12:14-16). We in the Continuing Church of God strive to always rely on the Bible over tradition: “We have also a more sure word of prophecy; whereunto ye do well that ye take heed, as unto a light that shineth in a dark place, until the day dawn, and the day star arise in your hearts” (2 Peter 1:19, KJV).

If Bob Thiel relied on the Bible over tradition, then why does Bobby write about "a place of safety in the wilderness," rather than what the Bible actually says? Most former WCG peeps know that "a place of safety" is a traditional phrase used by HWA.
Bob THiel's words provide us all with lots of "tribulation."
Why not believe Jesus Christ? He said:
"These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world." John 16:33
Even in Matthew 24 one cannot find "the great tribulation" because the definite article "the" isn't there. That is another HWA tradition!
Matthew 24:21 "For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be."
Could that tribulation of Matthew 24:21 happen way off in the future after Satan exits the pit, over a 1,000 years from today, and again deceives the entire world?

This is so like the small-minded cogs. They focus on something that will potentially affect 5% (and diminishing) of those that have ever lived and lasts for 3 or so years AND is unclear (they were visions).
Maybe focusing on the Gospel, which affects all people (increasing) and lasts for Millennia AND is clear, would be the better focus.

We need the scientist to chip Dr. Robert, and his, what? 100 or so Caucasian followers? Then Mr. Science needs to track these subjects and journal his findings. The writer will work with the scientist, researching the back stories on the subjects, and then compose a narrative account of their personal habits, education, interests, daily comings and goings, and which tribe of Israel best represents their heritage.. Any COGlodytes participating in Banned, but still believing in fleeing to a place of safety will be asked to send in 10% of each of their three tithes, plus a generous offering, to help defray the costs and per diem expenses of the scientist and the writer as incurred by their work. It will be a very profitable use of tithes if somehow the Armstrong prophecy mold does at last kick in, and if CCOG ends up being the gatekeeper, exclusively knowing when to flee to the place of safety, and where it will be!

Why would the. King of the South provoke the king of the European north if it is invading America, after attacking it with nuclear weapons? Rather it would be terrified of it and not provoke it. So Europe must first over run most of the middle east. It would also need its oil for the invasion.
Daniel 11:40 "And at the time of the end shall the king of the south push at him: and the king of the north shall come against him like a whirlwind, with chariots, and with horsemen, and with many ships; and he shall enter into the countries, and shall overflow and pass over."

There is no End Time Prophecy. All Bible prophecy was for those in times in which it was uttered. It mostly failed. None of it is pushed forward to our times thousands of years later. Hard to fathom I know.

This is typical ACOG talk. It's like Herb's 30 restored truths, 'truths' that have nothing, zero, zilch to do with everyday living. This focus on trivia has the implicit assumption that the church basics are right. It affirms what's in reality a toxic church culture that's oppressive and anti rights. Bobby and the splinter leaders need to heed Christ's teaching to "first clean the inside of the cup and dish." Instead they double down, making their churches more and more like North Korea.
Btw, Kim Jong Un is well pleased with the splinters.
I was reading in the London times today (and, I'm a Yank!) about how Germany is having such a difficult time getting up to speed in rearming Europe. They are encumbered by the huge interests that manufacture, and want to perpetuate conventional (antiquated) weapons, ie planes and tanks, which are not only vastly more expensive than the drones which are the very essence of the new warfare, but are also exponentially more time consuming to build. 85-90% of the major damage done in the war between Ukraine and Russia has been achieved by drones! Europe is also frustrated with Germany because they are restricting manufacture of drones to single daily 8 hour shifts five days per week. Ukraine builds them round the clock, 24-7. They only budget 1% of GDP on defense, when most agree that 3% will be required to meet their goals. So far, their entire production has stockpiled enough drones to last about a day and a half on the Ukrainian front. Europe is so desperate to amass a stockpile of weapons to defend themselves against Russia, because they feel that they can no longer implicitly trust the USA. You know. Conditional love based on the liberal-conservative thingie!
All of this contributes to the list of reasons why the HWA prophecy model was time and date stamped. By now, everyone realizes that even limited usage of nuclear weapons leaves no winners whatsoever. Look at the damage the fallout from one nuclear accident did on the heels of Chernobyl. You really believe that structures carved from stone in Petra will protect you from what is in the air and the water? Why don't those who perptuate Armstrongian prophecy see what should be as plain as that big Pinocchio nose growing right on their faces?

Interesting topic defence spending. In EuroNews Defence and Stockholm Peace Institute and International Institute of Strategic Studies, Germany was at 1.9%-2.3% of GDP, Poland at 3.8%-4.15% of GDP and Baltic states up around Poland levels of defence spending. But that doesn’t tell the whole story. When we look at salaries fuel costs transportation etc etc etc, the spend on ‘real’ weapons is not that big. However today weapons are more powerful, destructive and ‘kill’ more readily than in the past. If that is any consolation lol.
Either way, Europe needs to spend more. The Ukraine Russia war has burst the bubble on Russian invincibility. In a straight out European Russian non nuclear war it’s not certain that Russia would prevail. Indeed I don’t believe she would, except for the nuclear deterrent. This conflict has burst the Armstrong prophecy model to dust as has the conflict in the ME. Non of the prophets within Armstrongism predicted these events.

BB we already know HWA was a false prophet and false apostle from all of his 200+ failed predictions. We don’t need the ACOGs to disappear to prove this. We have enough proof already.

Why how spiritually intriguing! When I first left Armstrongism, I had realized that most of the people I had left behind would never understand that HWA's prophetic outline was not inspired by God, and as the years went by, it became more and more obvious that it wasn't happening. Those left behind in that bubble continued to revise dates, and to make a series of little modifications to adapt the theories to what was actually and plainly unfolding. They would emphasize and fan the little blurbs in the news like recent earthquakes or hurricanes, killer ants, bees and then hornets, each rumor of a financial contraction, statements made by German politicians, homosexual trends, record setting weather patterns, discovery of the lingering effects of forever chemicals, mideast unrest, proliferation of new and more powerful and devastating street pharmaceuticals, and riots which they blamed on "Canaanites" (as they called them).
The USA is the economic force which drives the global economy. When we have a little sniffle, the rest of the world gets the flu. If and when the USA were to go down, it will take everyone else out. Europe would not be the power block which takes its place, China would. The aid and strength which we spread around the globe is the glue which holds the free world together, and stabilizes it. China, possibly the oldest civilization in the world, for the most part simply plays the waiting game. Economically, it is #2 with a bullet. Ukraine has exposed Russia's weakness. When oil runs out, the Arab world will be nothing more than a sandbox. Europe has great difficulty getting along. It is like the feet of iron and clay. That part of the symbolism does hold true.
Absenting HWA's theories, and his inaccurate assignments of national origins, there is no symbolic or direct reference to the USA in Bible Prophecy. Other Christians, who are more honest in their assessment of prophecy, realize that. Even those who believe that we are living in the endtimes admit that when the end events go down, there is no mention of the USA. The only way you can get there is through artificial construct, one of which is HWA's bogus system of genealogy, which has been disproven in so many ways that even the Who's "Tommy", the deaf dumb and blind kid "who sure plays a mean pin ball" can understand. Prople need to move past their "what if" stage.

We live in desensitizing times when you can be watching a report on youtube regarding the UPS plane crash in Kentucky, they've just covered the number of known fatalities, the reporter has sadly expressed thoughts and prayers for the family when suddenly the scene switches to a person laying in bed, there is a particularly violent farting noise and a female voice starts ranting about "stuck poop"!
My mom always objected to vulgarity as we were growing up. I used to think it was just more stupid stuff from the church (actually, it probably was!), but the stuff to which we are now being daily exposed is so much worse. There is a tasteful way of introducing a little vulgarity and having it be funny. Let's face it, Jack Vale romps through Walmart are hilarious. These horrible, poorly placed commercials are invasive and offensive.
You make some thoughtful points 9:24, but your assessment of the US sounds a bit self-important, as if the rest of the world couldn’t possibly function without it. The truth is that global power dynamics are always shifting—every dominant empire has believed itself indispensable…right up until it wasn’t!
While I agree China’s emerging as a formidable force—very much in line with the “kings of the East” of Bible prophecy—I don’t see Europe passively sitting by while Beijing reshapes the global order. The EU may be fragmented now, but history shows that crises often forges cohesion. Europe still has the capacity to reassert itself if global instability deepens, and especially when America falters.
In short, the downfall of one power won’t end the world—it’ll just reset the stage for others to rise. That’s the pattern of history and, arguably, prophecy too. And yes, you’re correct the Bible doesn’t mention any “king of the West” when the end times unfold—likely cause by that point the US has either collapsed into a shadow of its former self or been absorbed back under its “mother,” Europe. But, like John always signs off, only “Time will tell…”
First of all, 10:12, I believe that global climate change has reached the irreversible stage where it is on auto pilot. Too late. I believe that everyone knows this. Some are launching futile efforts to correct it, but our own visionary president is doing everything he can to ensure that business goes on as usual, order is preserved, and that life as we knew it is preserved for as long as possible. I don't know that we could use the phrase "soft landing" to describe this type of "end", but the 1%ers have the best odds of survival.
Even if that were not true, we, among other civilized nations, are deep into the throes of a death spiral associated with national debt. Default on sovereign debt will cause global financial collapse. Normally in long wave economic theory, there are four cycles to a free economy. These are named after the seasons of the year, with winter being a time of contraction (depression) and renewal, a time when debt is purged from the system, so the economy can be renewed. This is why there was Jubilee in the Old Covenant! The powers that be in our modern times have learned and applied techniques which have circumvented and postponed this purge for decades now, and have artificially propped up the economy as massive debt accrues. Dow Jones Industrials finally reached pre-Great Depression levels in 1954. Based on that, the latest a depression or debt-purge cycle should have occurred would be 50 years later, or 2004. The problem now is that when debt becomes so massive that it can no longer be ignored or serviced, the purge will be much worse than it would have had the depression been allowed to occur. It will be global. Hermit kingdoms who do not participate in the global economy might be better prepared to survive an international depression, but ultimately, nobody will escape the ravages of my first topic, climate change. When the glaciers are gone, and there is nothing to feed the world's great rivers, and we're out of water, it will affect everyone on the planet.
I do see a possible "end" on the horizon. It is both plausible and likely, an educated guess, based on real global trends. As was HWA's antiquated one, it is pretty scary. This one is more contemporary, bears no resemblance to HWA's prophecy model, and does not end with Jesus Christ returning to set up Armstrongism as God's government on Earth. It's not centered on HWA's anthropomorphic "god's" punishment of the USA at all. It's global, and preempts the time and date stamped model HWA presented.
What's true is that, despite the trends, Armstrongites won't even consider this sort of end Their programming came from somebody whom they consider to have been a quasi-Biblical figure. An Apostle. Former Armstrongites will not consider it either, but for a different reason. They spent years having their behavior manipulated and modified based on the spectre of "the end". They are not willing to accept the possibility of another version of "the end" regardless of how convincing the trends around them become. Armstrongism was a two edged sword. It's the gift that keeps on taking, whether you left it or not!
Another post derailed by conspiracy nonsense. The oceans are not rising. CO2 levels are only at 0.4% where they have remained for decades. Cars are not contributing to the fake CO2 crisis, nor is cow flatulence. Is there pollution? Absolutely yes!
