The Prophet speaks! Heed his words!
Armstrongism still needs to find the bogeyman in all world events. It's no wonder their little cults are not growing!
When I watched some o of the “Occupy Wall Street” protesters/leaders interviewed, the following sections of scripture came to mind:
1 But know this, that in the last days perilous times will come: 2 For men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, 3 unloving, unforgiving, slanderers, without self-control, brutal, despisers of good, 4 traitors, headstrong, haughty, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, 5 having a form of godliness but denying its power. And from such people turn away! 6 For of this sort are those who creep into households and make captives of gullible women loaded down with sins, led away by various lusts, 7 always learning and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth. (2 Timothy 3:1-8) 8 For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. And there will be earthquakes in various places, and there will be famines and troubles. These are the beginnings of sorrows. (Mark 13:8)We are living in the last days and at least some of the protesters seemed to be fulfilling much of the above. The London riots and the flash mobs in the USA this past summer also brought these verses to mind. The sorrows and troubles are just beginning (Matthew 24:5-8) and will get much worse (Matthew 24:21-22). I believe that class warfare and other protests will help weaken the USA and other Anglo-nations and may also be a factor in them being vulnerable to real warfare: invasion by the Beast. (I also suspect that protests and civil unrest in Europe will be factors in the actual rise the Beast, as he will be a militaristic leader cf. Revelation 13:4.) As Jesus said:

Every wonder how these guys just knew what Jesus said? "and I heard a voice...." Today this would not be a good sign of sound mental health.
It's strange, you know, but when I remember that Scripture, I think of the leaders and founders of Armstrongism CoGs.
Isn't that the strangest thing?
Well, speaking of clapping, let's have a standing ovulation for Dr. Bob!
I have an idea. Why can't Armstrongites simply take a vow of silence, quit fanning the flames which they hope will erupt into bigtime fulfillment of their "apostle's" prophecies, and instead watch and see what actually happens? Prayerfully, and open mindedly, if they have the will to.
Just as everything seemingly reminds them of paganism, everything reminds them of HWA's endtime prophecies. Many members I once knew had been whipped by this into a perpetual state of frenzy, which I believe is exactly what their leaders intended. How can they have the time and positive mental outlook to concentrate on the blessings of daily Christian living, which is what God intends? I used to believe that the typical WCG worldview was only depressing. Now, I realize that it is downright sinful, and counter to God's purpose for His Christian people.

It's a sure sign that something is going to happen when nothing has.
Just as World War II was a sure sign that Mussolini was going to be the Beast and the United States and Britain would lose the war.
