COG False Prophet Indicted On Tax Evasion Charges

It's another fun day in Paradise!  Another corrupt, lying false prophet of Armstrongism has been charged with another crime.

It is none other than our illustrious Wienerdude himself!

Ron Weinland has been indicted with federal charges for tax evasion for failing to report over $356,000 in income.  He is accused of using the money on himself instead of his "church."

Cincinnati.com is reporting:
Ronald Weinland, 62, of Union evaded $357,065 in taxes from 2004 through 2008, according to a federal indictment.

The minister understated his income, used church money for personal expenses and tried to hide the existence of a Swiss bank account., said a spokesman for Kerry B. Harvey, the U.S. Attorney for the Eastern District of Kentucky. Weinland also allegedly failed to report any interest made on that Swiss account as income.

Weinerdude Weinalnd's splinter cult is a harlot daughter of The Living Church of God.  Weinerdude also thinks he is a prophet capable of predicting the end times (just like Harold Camping).  So far every word that has come out of his mouth has been a lie.

Long ago he declared himself one of the two witnesses. But because he as so few followers he needed another sidekick to be the other 'witness", so he appointed his wife.  So together he and the Mrs. make up the Two Witnesses who will be sent out as a warning to the world and then murdered in the streets of Jerusalem only to be resurrected in 3 1/2 days.

Sadly this FOOL is only one in a long line of liars and frauds that make up the so called "ministry" of Armstrongism.  The corrupt nature of Weinland is also carried over into the corrupt leaders of the various harlot daughters of the Worldwide Church of God.  It is only a matter of time fore these other fools make the headlines.

The spin he will put on these charges is that he is being attacked by Satan and how dare anyone try to detroy Gods chosen one!!

Explains his recent announcement about the end of the world.

$357,000 in unpaid taxes amounts to over a million in undeclared income, that's a lot of money.

If convicted on all five counts, authorities said Weinland faces up to five years in prison and fines up to $250,000.

MY COMMENT - If he gets the maximum sentence, then how will he fulfill his rendezvous with destiny according to his timetable as one of the two witnesses martyred, and then resurrected in Jerusalem for all the world to see?

And how will his wife, the second witness, witness what he does while he is in prison for 5 years?

I suppose the spin he will give to his small handful of followers is that God used the situation to "stop the clock" on his countdown to Armageddon.

The scenario that will play out is that Wienerdude will start claiming religious persecution and famine of he word. The few remaining people he will retain will be brainwashed into sending in more money to help out the work at "this crucial time." Homes will be mortgaged, businesses sold, savings cashed in, etc. It will be 1978 all over again. Herb did it before and Wienerdude will do it again. He will probably come out smelling like a rose in the eyes of his faithful.

If ever there was a time for the "two witnesses" to start preaching in Jerusalem (finally), it's now.

Before the feds confiscate their passports.

Dixon Cartright has assured me that the Armstrongist Churches of God are not filled with narcissists, sociopaths, psychopaths and nutjobs -- that the leaders of the ACoGs (as reported in The Journal) are just sincere and decent people.

One wonders what the reports in The Journal will be about this incident, seeing that the Armstrongist Churches of God are not filled with narcissists, sociopaths, psychopaths and nutjobs -- that the leaders of the ACoGs (as reported in The Journal) are just sincere and decent people?

Or are we to assume that this incident just isn't worth mentioning?

"Weinerdude Weinalnd's splinter cult is a harlot daughter of The Living Church of God."

Check your info. I thought Ron was previously a "minister" in the (Dis)United Church.

Don't worry about the money that such frauds steal from the tax department. Rather, worry--yes, WORRY--about the money that they steal from their deceived followers.

And now Robert Thiel has signed on to diseminate the bad news, calling Weinland a "False Prophet"... again:

Ronald Weinland’s own false “prophetic” statements have caused destruction and loss of his followers over the years. Those still with him need to realize that Ron Weinland is NOT God’s prophet or one of His two witnesses.

Whether or not he is guilty of tax evasion, the reality is that Ron Weinland is a false prophet. He was proven that in the past, and will be proven wrong by the end of May, 27, 2012.

Jesus will NOT return in 2012. Ronald Weinland is, and has been, guilty of being a false prophet.

To belabor the point: This will only strengthen the hold RW has on the majority of his "little flock." Whenever a COG leader is "persecuted" by agents outside the confines of the COG's, aka, "The World," it is viewed as positive proof that "Satan is attacking God's Church," further reinforcing the belief that the members are 1) God's True People, 2) in "God's True Church," and 3) following the right leader.

When it all goes down, some will slip quietly away but you can bet that his Lieutenants will use his incarceration to step into his position and solidify their own power base, serving as a middle man to carry out RW's "Work." I foresee special offerings being demanded in order to pay for the legal bills.

I can only hope, with a humble sincerity that brings tears to my eyes, that Ron is put in general population and has a very hard time of it. He deserves no less. In fact, this is the only way COG leaders will ever hope to face any punishment for their crimes. Maybe he can share a cell with Kent Hovind.

Sometimes really bad people seem to get away with all sorts of outrageous crimes. For example, Al Capone, who might have been responsible for up to 500 murders.

Then, they end up in jail for income tax evasion. Maybe it all balances out somehow.

Maybe Bubba in cell block number nine will declare himself to be the REAL witness, make Wienerdude his wife, and demote Wienerdude to silent co-witness.

It is likely that RW will be required simply to pay back taxes with a percentage dollar penalty -- and only after there is either a convinction or (more likely) an IRS judgment against him.

Don't get your hopes too high.

It may turn out that it will be treated as "an honest mistake" with a minimum of major maladjustment.

The feeding frenzy may be totally unjustified, as appealing as it may seem right now.

I agree that he probably won't do time. What does the government gain, except for making an occasional example to put fear in others, from expensively incarcerating someone like him?

His lawyers will plea bargain and maneuveer and the suckers will ante up to pay his fines.

Allen, I agree that incarcerating him won't do much good, on the other hand, maybe the government incinerating him would.

You can never tell.

No human being knows the future. Ron and all the COG's have built their paradigm on a house of cards. Paul was wrong, the NT was wrong, Jesus himself was wrong about the coming of the "Son of Man" which was sometimes NOT a reference to himself.

Jesus was either, Liar, Lunitic or Lord but the one forgotten "L" was Legend.

Weinland and all other COG's which motivate on "time is short," are wrong and will die like all men before them

That's a bit drastic and reminiscent of the fictitious Yahweh of old on his genocidal warpath. I just hope a whole bunch of people see through his bombast and get their heads on straighter.

That's a bit drastic

Allen, I was being ironic / funny.

I just learned (I had not heard it before and have this from a very reliable source) that a number of ministers had the official but unpublished notion that when everyone got to the Place of Safety, stoning was to be instituted as it was in the Old Testament.

This is about as brutal and uncivilized as I can imagine, but I really believe they would have done so if they had been given a chance.

They would also be the witness, judge and jury.

Allen C. Dexter said...

Yep, I'm convinced that they would have gone that far. Power corrupts and absolute power such as they would have claimed corrupts absolutely. They would have become inquisitors every bit as heinous as the catholic inquisitors.
