Holy shit, batman! All judgmental, self-righteous eyes are upon us as we walk through the door. Blackballed and embarrassed again. Oh well, we just gave some "deacon" or local yokel "elder" more material for a "sermonette".
God, how funny would that be if someone showed up for church dressed in that kind of a "suit." I guess you could still be ejected on the grounds that you weren't wearing a tie.
There have been times over the past several years that I've been running late for services. Being seated shortly after praise music begins isn't bad. However, if I realize that I'm going to miss the Lord's Supper, then I'll usually just study for a while, and go to the next service.
We don't wear suits. We also don't wear rags. Business casual is probably the best way to describe our attire. It's comfortable, but not ostentatious towards those who have less. We also don't call our pastors "Mr." Usually it will be Pastor (first name), even if there is a doctorate involved.
In the ACOGs, you were always worried about appearance, about minutiae, and about what those in "authority" thought of you. In my present church experience, all of the garbage is cleared away, so that members can concentrate on the message, and on group praise God through the worship music. There are no stupid theories about Germans or racial hierarchy with which to ruin the experience, or to put people on edge. You'd just have to be there to experience the God-given differences. It never fails to uplift.
I would not have anything to write if all these splinter groups would keep their elders under control. But NOOOOOOOOOOOOO they cant keep their mouths shut!

There are so many spin offs of HWA, none can accomplish what he did. I wonder, what would HWA have to say about these "leaders"? Can you imagine? HWA watching some of their programs and getting on the internet to evaluate them? And if GTA was with them, can you imagine the comments and laughter as they watch their successors as one of them drinks his favorite booze and the other has a young at his side? This might make a SNL skit.

In this you've more than revealed your true colors to me, NO2HWA, as it clearly shows you'll allow whiny comments of virtually no substance whatsoever through, while the more serious and well-expressed ones get censored. That's all I need to know about you: that deep down you know that your Christian beliefs simply cannot bear rigorous scrutiny, and so you cowardly censor those that reveal such realities. In this you are just like your spiritual fore-bearers of the Middle Ages: when you can't defend your views with evidence, logic and civil dialogue, then you use whatever power you have and start “pouring molten lead” down the throats of those who disagree with you. At the end of the day, the Christian response, as clearly shown in the record of history, is always the same in spirit toward open challenge against them, whether it be torture or censorship, only the specific tactical strategies change due to the fact that your kind no longer have the power to torture anymore in today's more secular society. But fortunately for the rest of humanity, your power doesn't extend beyond this website. For if it did, it would just be a matter of time before the bloodbath would commence against all non-Christians. You have to admit the group highlighted in this article has a fairly reasonable creed:
* People are more important than beliefs.
* Only human hands can solve human problems.
* Reality is known through reason, not revelation.
* Meaning comes from making a difference.
* Labels are unimportant.
* Everyone should be accepted wherever they are as long as they are accepting in turn.
