Never let it be said that Church of God groups place Jesus above all else.
In the Church of God other things are more important: keeping the law, not eating pork, the color of your car, the length of a person's hair, the color of men's dress shirts, the length of dresses, who has the best COG, who has printed the most booklets and literature, and what kind of cookies to bring to a picnic. These are the things God is apparently very concerned about.
Jesus, however, is seldom spoken of, and when he is he is portrayed as a pissed-off god just itching to return to earth and fry the butts of Laodiceans and other unbelievers while COG members stand around in righteous poses and chortle in glee.

None of these things listed are items of importance to ones' walk as a Christian. Even the comment about law-keeping is not relevant to new covenant Christians. Jesus is always the last thing on any law-keepers mind, and even that irritates the hell out of them. The law is always first in their eyes. Sad

Jesus lived "under the law," i.e. under its authority. He did not say that the law was not done away and must be kept like you contend. Those are your words that you have put in Jesus' mouth.
What Christ actually said is in the Sermon on the Mount and it is a departure from the Torah.
Further, he actually said the following, "For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled." Note the time limitation - "till all be fulfilled."
Jesus lived under the law perfectly for one reason. Not to set us an example of living by the Torah which no Armstrongist actually does. But so he could become a sacrifice for those "under the law", the Jews. Paul said in Galatians 4:4-5:
"But when the fulness of the time was come, God sent forth his Son, made of a woman, made under the law, To redeem them that were under the law, that we might receive the adoption of sons."
Jesus fulfilled his mission of living perfectly under the law and then went on to institute the New Covenant laws in the Sermon on the Mount. The Torah was just a foreshadow of Jesus. Jesus fulfilled it by living it.

6:41 PM No, I try to apply the biblically-based knowledge I've learned also you should know that the 613 is only for the nation of Israel not everyone, and also they are detailed laws governing both their civil and religious matters for Israel but after Christ was crucified we only have to keep the ten commandments that is why he listed some of them I have never heard Christ say not to wear mixed fabrics but I heard him list some of the 10 when he said whosoever enter into life keep the commandments.

She should have second, third, fourth and more thoughts, and walk away while she still has some money in the bank. Otherwise it will end up supporting Dave's hobby farm, with his barn, horses, and acres of flowers.
Let's also not forget about tie color! Dave does NOT like green ties, as he stated in an Ambassador Center lecture many years ago.

I remember when Rod Meredith had a major meltdown in theology class over men wearing pink Izod shirts. The next day half of his class had them on. Meredith was such a prick. Wearing a green tie isn't wrong, it doesn't hurt you or others, and God doesn't tell people to wear it in the Bible. Ties are not mentioned, we should just wear the best we have for Sabbath services. Nor does it mention the specific color of the ties.
Sin is the transgression of God's law and if wearing a green tie doesn't break any of the Bible's laws (which it doesn't), then it's not a sin to wear one and members should wear the nicest they have or as best as they can to services.
Pharisaic churches put a premium on appearances since 'the righteous look' blinds both insiders and outsiders to the "dead mens bones' in their church.

Acceptable clothing for services has always being "old peoples clothes" because old people are in charge of the church.
