Poor little guy! His African leaders are making a mockery of the greatest COG prophet to ever lead a COG. No matter what he tells his leaders there they do what they want to do. Impotent and confined to his little town in California hiding behind his little storefront, this great leader cannot gain the respect he thinks he deserves, whether it is in the COG at large or from his followers in Africa.
The Apostle Paul wrote:
1 Therefore I exhort first of all that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks be made for all men, 2 for kings and all who are in authority, that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and reverence. 3 For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior, 4 who desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth. (1 Timothy 2:1-4)
Brethren, in many places, we hear of leaders that campaign for offices. Our focus is not to be that, but we are to pray for our leaders, essentially so the work of God will not be hindered. Prayer, not politics, is what we should be involved in.

You earn respect by being respectful, honorable, meeting people's needs individually, and producing good fruit in ministry. Love, respect, providing basic needs is the goal. Give a healthy picture of God.
The problem is that Bob is not respectful and honorable. He has lied from day one about why he needed to start a new splinter group. People saw through that and that is why he has no members in the US or Europe other than a handful.
There is nothing wrong with voting or holding political office. Many Biblical characters served in Gentile courts, or sat at city gates.
