It's another day in LCG and their focus is on the law instead of finding freedom in the one they claim to follow.
Eliminating Spiritual Leaven: The Scriptures indicate that leaven is to be removed from our homes and not eaten during the Days of Unleavened Bread (Exodus 12:15). We need to remember that this is a physical exercise to help us realize the importance of identifying and removing spiritual leaven that tends to creep into our lives from the world. Spiritual leaven involves breaking the commandments of God, compromising or rebelling against His instructions, and exhibiting the attitudes and works of the flesh (Galatians 5:19–21). Yet we are also instructed to eat unleavened bread for seven days (Leviticus 23:6). As we prepare to take the Passover and go through the Days of Unleavened Bread, it may be helpful to reread the booklet on the Ten Commandments. We need to ask God to help us see any spiritual leaven that we need to eliminate from our lives so we can really become more like our Father and more like our Savior, Jesus Christ.
Have a profitable Sabbath,
Douglas S. Winnail
How about instead of reading some worthless COG booklet you read Romans, Galatians, and 1 Corinthians without any COG literature next to you?
Galatians 2:16
: "I know that a person is not justified by the works of the law but by faith in Jesus Christ, so we also believe that we will be justified by faith in Christ, and not by the works of the law, because by the works of the law no one will be justified."

The meaning of this festival is just another example where the church always had it ass backwards.
says, 7 days you must eat unleavened bread (see also Exodus 12:15-20
)! The emphasis is on putting something in, not putting something out. The putting out is the result of the putting in!
. He is the " living bread", and the "TRUE bread". (John 6:51

)! It's Christ IN, sin OUT!
The feast is called, the days of UNLEAVENED bread.
Leviticus 23:6
Christ Himself is "that bread", John 6:48
We can't eliminate ANYTHING on our own!
Not a word about humility, not being puffed up. Gotta work on rooting out that narcissism.
All of God's Holy days are filled with Christology meaning but all the Tkatchites do is aquire power and then pollute God's Holy days with their own misery. The glass is aways half empty not half full. Beware the ones who say they see but do not.

Well, another year has passed since last Passover/DUB, so are Doug and his followers any "more like our Father and more like our Savior, Jesus Christ?"
Doug still encourages obtaining salvation by works of self, taking glory to self. Who is the real overcomer here? God, Jesus or self?
Jesus Christ said this:
John 15:5
What if one only thinks one "has Jesus," but really does not?
Why aren't all of those in this living group perfect yet? How many more years will they need?
Jesus, the only converted human being on earth about 2,000 years ago, also said this:
John 5:30
How will Doug and his followers do more than nothing?
Doug is still striving to purge out his own sins, has failed to be 100% successful on doing that, which ought to make the following scripture be so encouraging:
Psalm 79:9
Will God be that involved (as in Eph 2:10

Yes! Christ is that bread! And we need to pray everyday “give us this day, our daily bread”
He is the bread of life that came down from heaven. He is the manna. Funny how Israel was go rest with that extra portion on the 7th day and completely rest in the Lord. It wasn’t that they woke up hungry, it was the refusal to trust in the provision and rest and bread that came from God alone. They had nothing to do, but believe, trust and obey God by resting in Him.
Likewise, we need food everyday. The bread represents the daily nourishment we need… tell me again we only need to do this one time a year as a ritual? That’s insane.
It’s only Christ in us that even allows us to approach a holy God. No amount of cleaning, washing, cleansing, feeble attempts will ever make that possible by human effort.
It is by grace you have been saved (past tense) through faith, not of works, lest anyone should boast.
From what I see in our LCG "leaders" they obviously do not read Doug's write-ups here that they still publish. I simply do not see any change or growth for the better in our elders and our ministers. and those who become dels and ministers who were nice end up changing for the worst. Taking the Passover bread and wine seems to feel better for a time, but then the next week the big mouthes and heavy hands like Winston gosse and Michael Elertson continue on their merry way as if the ceremonies never meant a thing. if these so-called shepherds are not willing to learn the lessons they themselves preach to us then they might as well not even waste their time and ours by going through these rituals in the first place. something about taking God's name in vain here. What was it that big Jerry Weston said in front of a lot of us that time? Even if we're wrong, remember this, God was angry with the people, not with Moses. So does this mean that there is one standard for these so-called God's true ministers and another standard for God's little sheeple?

BP8, very good elaboration on the DUB. Self cannot do it!
I think Jesus summed it up quite well when He told us the following:
John 17:20
21 That they all may be one; as thou, Father, [art] in me, and I in thee, that they also may be one in us: that the world may believe that thou hast sent me.
22 And the glory which thou gavest me I have given them; that they may be one, even as we are one:
23 I in them, and thou in me, that they may be made perfect in one; and that the world may know that thou hast sent me, and hast loved them, as thou hast loved me."
Is that a oneness of God, of Jesus' God, created to deleaven those of God's Church that the entire world will eventually acknowledge and be thankful for?
"Faithful [is] he that calleth you, who also will do [it]." I Thess 5:24
