David C. Pack's Three Could-Bes
Rather than brethren enjoying their time at the Feast of Tabernacles, they had to ponder the nonsensical speculations of their human idol. Just the way he likes it.
David C. Pack spoiled another Feast of Tabernacles for the brethren of The Restored Church of God when he theorized three possible "could be" options for the coming Kingdom of God.
During "The Greatest Untold Story! (Part 650)" given on September 19, 2026, the Pastor General was "foretelling" when he taught that the Kingdom could arrive on the Opening Night, during the middle of the Feast of Tabernacles, or on the Last Great Day.
Three prophetic failures in the same week is not his record high.

The movie "A Beautiful Mind" the ending comes to mind.

It's more closely reminiscent of the time that I woke up cold and shivvering in bed in the middle of a chilly Southern California night, having crashed without letting my cat out to do his business. I pulled up the covers and was instantly covered with cat mess! What an expressive lesson my feline companion administered! I never forgot again.
The Bible says that NO ONE knows when Jesus is returning! These grifters keep saying they’ve figured it out and the brainwashed can’t figure out that the Bible calls them FALSE PROPHETS! I heard one idiot in Worldwide say that herbie figured it out so God had to change it!!!!! Hopefully these people will start using their brains and stop being exploited.
"Herbie figured it out so God had to change it!" Wow, 12:20! That takes the ol' primacy of Peter doctrine to a whole 'nuther level! Hey Zeus and Cowabunga ese!
Seriously, somebody came up with the brilliant idea that you could draw upon some implications from scriptures, here a little, there a little, apply relatively simple math (certainly not advanced Calculus!), and presto! A little plagiarism, and HWA had the solution! And, they have failed consistently, with their dates and times, although setting dates has proven to be a very effective construct with which to coerce people to pay and obey! And yet, one wonders why Armstrongism has never produced a "second act" (the final act). They can't! They did not have the specially revealed knowledge which they told us they had. They were either mistaken, which means God was never with them in the first place, or it was made from whole cloth from elements in HWA's sales and advertising career, which also means that God was never with them in the first place!
Now, logically, how could it be that no man knows, and Jesus incarnated told us that "only the father knows", meaning that even He did not know?
There could only be one answer, although our atheist friends will disagree. And, that is that Father God has a fixed set of circumstances, a redline for "Checkmate", when man's self government can only result in the demise of a very special part of God's creation, planet Earth! So, God makes a judgment call, and pulls the plug! He does not utilize a math formula. His actions are based on the requirements of the times. Revelation, John of Patmos's magnum opus, outlines a specific series of events, the symbolism of which could be easily interpreted as the punishments mankind brings upon himself through bad behavior and poor stewardship!
One school of Jewish thought involves recognizing the world as being a broken place, with it being mankind's job or mission to correct the bad, to fix whatever we can, making it into a better place. I like that. It brings much more meaning to daily life than possible through the "defer it til Jesus returns" tenets of Armstrongism! Oh, and, (ahem!) pay and obey them as life drifts away.

Yea, but the Armstrongism attitude still persists, as the scripture they use to define their special knowledge is: “we have a more sure word of prophecy.” Not really knowing what Peter is really saying here. So this sad saga continued within the splinters. I like that Jewish thought as well. There is much more peace in understanding God’s ways are higher than our ways even scientifically or mathematically.
You know, I just don't understand the thought processes members of some of the splinters go through these days. HWA, throughout his pastorship, had some pretty good rails established, so that the scripture about the more sure word of prophecy even appeared appropriate and logical. Fast forwarding into the present, we see some ACOG leaders taking on wild titles for themselves, literally seeing themselves as the fulfillment of certain Biblical characters, (and in the most flattering ways), and they've jetisonned the key prophetic endtime signs that HWA had always preached, such as the rebuilding of the Temple in Jerusalem. Leaders say they are not prophets, but continue to spew false prophecies, others say they are prophets, but speak in extremely nebulous terms such that you can't even discern what they are really saying, and then when some very minor thing happens, they claim that their prophecy was fulfilled. I am no fan of HWA, but at least he kept his speculations quasi-reasonable!
Oh well! At least the growth stats for these groups are not even within lying distance of the 30% per annum HWA claimed. (I believe HWA did actually enjoy 30% annual growth, although I don't believe that God had anything to do with the WCG. God's ways are indeed higher!

Marc come on now...this is an improvement lol... Hes on more solid ground then proclaiming that a singular date or theory is impossible to dispute or immutable based on proofs. If you suggest Christ will return during the feast then based on simple math....365 divided by 8 days......thats theoreriallly 45 8 day slots in a jewish calendar year.....that means based on simple math that there is a 1 on 45 chance hes right. There is no way to disprove my numbers statiscally!!
My main concern is that is if GOD wrote into the bible date since Adam and Noah or even Abraham that hes been pulling strings ever since for a date that there is a unique nature to that. Thats Calvinist man. My father is a Calvinist. This is all predetermined.
Imagine that I could sit there with my father..... in his home....and declare this calvinism teaching to him and have you continue to report your sermon notes as reference!
This will STOP or I will be another random person here just randomly complaining about it all becaue im banned for the discussion. THANK YOU for publishing this my friend!! I love you!!
Randy, I see you inherited your dad's amazing skills of figuring out biblical math. He's got quite the lucrative hustle going on. Maybe it's time to take over the real family business. LOL.
Hell yeah! Randall can make the property into a health and wellness retreat center. It would be ideal for that!
