LCG: Casper Milquetoast Fails To Make A Definitive Decision On Sabbath Services

(Several LCG members sent me comments this morning about services.)

Leave it to Gerald Weston to wait till the last minute to make a definitive decision on whether or not LCG churches should be meeting today.  Oh wait, he didn't.

He went the "I don't want to be accountable way" and left it up to each local LCG pastor to determine whether to meet or not.

With a vast majority of Christian churches, Synangoues and Mosques stopping all services, Weston continues on as the milquetoast leader of LCG.
You may have heard by now that Sabbath service cancellations were put in the hands of local pastors to decide. LCG, UCG and COGWA are all cancelled in my area. A decision has only been made for this week in LCG.
A link has been sent out for anyone who wants to listen to the livestream at LCG HQ.

OMG! You guys are killing me here. Keep the heat on. I am so embarrassed about our church leaders.

For those that do meet, I am sure the sermon will be about the faithless members who don't trust the leadership or the ministry to do what's right and that they have no faith that God will protect them from the coronavirus. It is always a no-win situation in for LCG members.

This is Gerald Weston.

I have decided to not decide.

There are cars in the RCG parking lot, so services are probably still on there.

They are still allowed to own cars at Pack's Restored COG?

Are they like the cars in Cuba, with people driving things like
1996 Hynudais or 1985 Yugos, or 2001 PT Cruisers so as to contribute more to the "common"???

Is it just me, or did the LCG servers crash hard early in the webcast? Gerald will of course blame it on Satan, and not on poor planning by LCG staff.

Site crashed. All I got to hear was Weston claim how he saved the church a ton of money by not cancelling the ministerial conference. And then started telling people how to maintain formality at home listening in. We are to dress up, sit attentively and don't dare kick up your feet and stuff your face. Also, don't you dare think for a second about saving yourself hours of drive time in the future by trying to tune in to webcasts on a weekly basis in your dirty undershirts. Afraid of what a little freedom might taste like to the sheep? Jesus Christ...tear down this wall!

Weston said one of the reasons for canceling the ministerial conference was that it wasn't worth having if one or two ministers died. So it's all about protecting the ministry. Screw the flock! Nevermind if a few of these ministers became a carrier of the virus and came back and spread it to their congregation or an elderly person and THEY died. There is no love for the people in the leadership of that organization. It's all about the self! And after listening to their announcements today, they dont want to use the word "cancel" when it coming to not having services. Say what!?! God have mercy on them for not loving the people.

LCG claims to have hosted thousands upon thousands of streaming Web connections for their Family Weekend services and for Rod Meredith's special presentations. The load today should be substantially less. So, if today's load crashes their servers, was LCG lying about the numbers of connections for their previous events? Or has LCG downgraded its streaming capability at a time when others are increasing theirs? Or is this simply a case of incompetent management? As Rod Meredith would say, "Where is God in all of this?"

The man has no leadership abilities. He is just another parasite.

You all should have checked into the UCG live webcast instead. It was superb. Nearly 3k connections. No glitches or hitches.
Wonderful uplifting faith based sermon.

The reason I joined GCG/LCG was they were best doing the Work as I believed at the time.
If you still believe this is the mission, then LCG is no longer doing it "the best" as Rod put it.
Maybe one of the more looney tunes COGs is doing it.

LCG has become more of a retirement home for the ministry with some travel required. Speaking skills optional. Related to one of the bigwigs - helpful.

The whole COG is a retirement home. All those people whistling Andy Griffith songs and reminiscing about the good ol WCG days.

It’s a religion of Nostalgia. It’s Make Christianity Great Again emblazoned on a purple hymnal (never red but sometimes blue)

It has nothing new or original to say but everything is a copy of a copy of a hobbled together religion combing Judaism, Mormonism, Christianity, and a little Jehovahs Witnesses just to be safe
