This is too funny! This is the exact same thing that we have been saying about Bob Thiel's followers. Like Wade Cox's African members, Bob's are in it for the money, and when they find the next pocket of money they are off and running. COG leaders are so gullible, and in this case, stupid!..
CCG is going through a serious time, over COVID in Uganda. We have lost no one anywhere in the world to date. Praise God for his mercy but some have contracted the disease. The DCG and I have noted a few breaks or minor fractures and that has never happened throughout the history of CCG and God is telling us that we have to clean our house out and prepare for the coming war and tribulation. None have been serious fortunately but God protects us and he is drawing attention to our problems. We need to pray earnestly for our own salvation. One of the problems was two corrupted ministers in Burundi were attempting to obtain funds from the True Jesus Church and I was shocked to see photos of them performing infant baptism. They are truly falling from any understanding they once may have had.

Everyone knows that Bob is being taken to the cleaners and he is too big of a narcissist to admit it. Some of his groups are also affiliated with other Sabbatarian groups or other Christian churches in their area. It's all about whoever gives them the most money, computers, seeds, and food. Bob is such a fool.
The animal sacrifices and other rituals associated with the Old Covenant were done away with by the sacrifice of Jesus but the ten commandments are not done away.
It is well known in Evangelical and Sabbatarian churches that many of the African churches affiliate with numerous church organizations all the while claiming exclusivity to one main group. On the side, they get more money, clothing, food, computers, etc. from additional groups. Thiel's followers are doing the same thing. A couple of his evangelists regularly milk other religious groups.
Sorry, Anony 9:25, but how is that tidbit of misinformation relevant to this particular post? A the African congregations spending their money on barbecues?
The 10 Commandments were just as much a part of the Mosaic law as the other things were. And they were abolished. Read II Cor 3:6-18 and the Epistles to the Hebrews, especially Heb. 8:13. Also, read Ex. 20-24. The 10 Commandments were a part of the Book of the Law, just like the rituals snd sacrifices were. If they were abolished, so were the 10.
Trypho what is wrong with the African congregations having a barbecue? They have the right to have a good time it is a way to fellowship with one another.
"God is telling us that we have to clean our house out.."
It's the old "you can't fire me, I quit." So members who leave this scam is house cleaning.
Dave Pack has also been doing a lot of house cleaning.
Anon 9:02, nothing at all! Those from former British colonies should enjoy a pint or two as well!
I was drawing on the comments HWA made about AC BBQs, that some neighbors thought they performing קָרְבַּן עוֹלָה! [Korban olah]
Yes, exactly, it should be used to fund fun and harmless time, spending it on siblings you care about, rather than just so a minister can make a living on tithing money, at least it's a good barbecue for everyone. .
No pork or shellfish at the barbecue.
When I started attending WCG, our congregation didn't have Pot Luck after services. The minister kept telling us we were going to go to a park for BBQ lunch that he titled "Beef and Burgundy". I don't know if that every happened. Maybe he remembered for a BBQ you had to kindle a fire, and that is prohibited on the Sabbath. It was also in a time before microwave ovens.
Trypho wrote about "misinformation relevant" and "spending their money on barbecues".
Hmm. People seemed to respond to BBQs but not whether 1) Anon's comment was relevant to the thread 2) whether a host of things were done away by Jesus' sacrifice 3) the host of things done away didn't include the 10 Commandments.
Using a catchphrase one lady uses when challenging something she doesn't agree with, "On what do you base that?"
