Last Tuesday I received an email from Mr. Jason Fritts giving us an ultimatum that we either allow him to preach his view regarding the gospel, or he would tender his resignation. After prayer and fasting I have accepted his resignation from the ministry and membership of the Church of God Assembly effective Friday May 15, 2026.
We cannot compromise the truth at the demands of others, regardless of the cost. We will continue to hold fast to that which we have been taught. Revelation 3:10-11.

What is Jason's version of the gospill? Does he separate the message about the savior Jesus from what Jesus taught as Mr. Bryce and others did?
The key words: his view regarding the gospel.

At this hour, many questions remain.
Even Herb had the gospel wrong. He insisted that it was the government of God. Which was in keeping with him often claiming that "government is everything." We already have what Herb had in mind with today's North Korea.
Many times in the NT, variations of Mark 1:15 appear: "..the kingdom of God is at hand: repent ye, and believe the gospel." If the gospel was purely a two thousand year into the future government, why did Christ tell his generation to repent? It must be that the gospel is the gospel of salvation. Mortal humans can become immortal. That's the good news.
How many ‘brethren’ will receive this letter? One two, perhaps 20 odd? Membership must be very small. There’s no place for alternative views within Armstrongism. North Koreans would certainly recognise the dynamics at play here. My way or the highway, dissenters forbidden.
Does anyone have details regarding the Fritzian gospel and how it differs from Armstrongism?
Their message is that they, like Armstrong, teach the true gospel whilst anyone who talks of it being about Christ is false:

This is not accurate. Mr. Monson gave a sermon and apologized for the use of the word "resignation" it is actually termination.
I do think Monson and Fritts are the two end-time witnesses. They have the signs that follow believers as listed in the Scriptures.
I hate division but I do think this is from God. Romans 8:28.

You are correct -and most ironically, it was Armstrong who got the gospel wrong while taking great pleasure in attacking everyone else for being false and deceived by Satan.
He understood a fragment of the kingdom, but the part he misunderstood was the very foundation he built everything on. He turned the gospel into a message about a future millennium, when in fact the kingdom of God began in Christ two thousand years earlier as you point out. And, the gospel is centred on Christ Himself - something Armstrong explicitly denied.
And his error is exposed by his own claim that he was “raised up” to herald this future kingdom: he never actually did so, and neither can the offshoots, because they inherit the same fundamental mistake.

To start this study, use the book you have referenced. Read the first four chapters of Romans, meditate on them, and ask yourself whether it lines up with the 2 witnesses doctrines on the gospel.

It's honestly shocking to me that the "flocks" of these petty backbiting twats never wake up and say, "if this was God's true church, why is it never "blessed" and why can the leaders never act like the "ambassadors" / adults / holy men they pretend to be??? They all act like entitled, infallible, dictators - incapable of sharing their balls on a playground.
How many "churches" have the members of Sheldon's church been in in the past 40 years? Six? More? Is the church shrinking or growing? Does it FEEL like God is blessing them?
How far do members have to stick their heads in the sand to convince themselves that ANYTHING Armstrong is godly or relevant? It seems to me that God is EXTINGUISHING everything the wicked pedophile built, but the brainwashed followers just keep tithing. Split after split.
Sheldon started his own church because LCG followed state regulations during Covid. How long until Jason starts HIS own church? It will probably have 50 people in it and 30 of them will be in some remote country in Africa lol but still? Wash. Rinse. Repeat.
Jason probably gave a sermon about love or grace or dared to say "Jesus" instead of "Christ" or dared to mention Christ at any time of year other than Passover.
I understand why the ministry does what it does. Power corrupts. The ministers in this church are uneducated, emotionally immature, entitled, small little trolls who wouldn't know Christian character if it bit them on the ass. What I failed to understand, is how the brethren continue to believe this is "God's work" even after all of the divisions and the fact that their membership is nearly extinguished. When the Scarboroughs start dying… there will be nothing left in Sheldon's joke of a church. Armstrong is a blight on the Earth.
May the day it is fully extinguished come soon! "Set my people free" and all of that.

It will be interesting to find out whether "his view regarding the gospel" is:
(1) We should use tithes to preach the gospel rather than to buy SUVs for the leaders,
or
(2) It's what HWA taught, not what Sheldon teaches,
or
(3) It's what Doug Winnail teaches, not what HWA taught.

Even if a parting of ways needed to happen, Monson’s letter gives no appreciation to the work & effort Fritt’s gave to CGA, overall. Youth Camp, Feast of Tabernacles planning, Murfreesboro Winter Weekends… he should have included a thank you & some appreciation for that effort. Instead, this short letter of dishonor & correction. If Monson is going to part ways so easily with others, he should learn to do so in a Christian manner.
What about it is not accurate? This is the exact letter Monson distributed to his membership.

According to the “Meet the Elders” section of CGA website, there are 2 names that have also been removed in addition to Jason Fritts: Larry Alverio & Randy Wayne. Did they resign too or were they terminated?
Bob has already copied the letter over. Since he is an avid reader here he is also commenting on people comments, and as usual, claiming he is more intelligent and more used by God than Monson and Fritts are.

How can grown men in the ministry disagree over the gospel? What? You haven't heard it enough?
In WCG we always knew that it was about the Kingdom of God coming to the earth, but the only way to enter it is through faith in and obedience to Jesus Christ, the head of the Kingdom, the other "prong" of the 2-pronged message. Those in the COGs who don't know or respect this are failing the grade, as this is why Christ came to die for your sins, so that an entrance could be made for you into the Kingdom.
Note, too, that obedience to the law of Christ is required, just as He said, "Why do you call me Lord, Lord, but do not what I say?"
Another disappointment in the COGs but this could have been expected since no one from COGA replied to my email inquiry after it was first formed.
And didn't Monson put out appeals to prayers for Fritts' son to rid him of demons? And the prayers were answered, weren't they? Now, at this time, they can't remember that and agree on basic doctrine??? Shame on you.

One of Monson’s sons has left, so far.
Ministers left- the yes men are:
Jack Lowe, Mike Kreyer, Greg Kaidannek, Eric Case & Sheldon Monson.
If the whole congregation knew the whole truth as to why so many has left, there would be even more to leave.

Sheldon Monson is a racist who is drunk on power. He is self righteousness and entirely hypocritical- just like every other COG leader. I honestly cannot even imagine how anybody stays in these groups. The cognitive dissonance (or is it profound stupidity?) is astounding. I cannot imagine the mental Gymnastics required to think that CGA is "God's work" on the planet.
