Is Our Favorite Crackpot Prophet A Real Historian?

Bob Thiel Is NOT A Historian!

Bob Thiel of COGwriter and the Continuing Church of God claims to be an expert on the early history of the Church, but his writings on the subject are extremely biased and ignore a great deal of evidence. In short, Pastor Thiel is not going to win any awards for historical scholarship!

In his booklet Continuing History of the Church of God, he makes a number of statements which are simply NOT supported by the available evidence, and he writes a number of things which are demonstrably FALSE. At the beginning of his booklet, Thiel asked: "Was there an early, original form of Christianity that was so persecuted and so maligned, yet continued from c. 31 A.D.? Even today would it be overlooked by most who profess Christ?" The questions imply that what most of us recognize as Christianity is far different from the original version of the faith. What about that? Is Bob asking the right questions? More importantly, is he providing the right answers to his questions?

First, Pastor Thiel boldly proclaimed that "The Church of God has the Right Name and the Right Size." His proof? A number of Scriptural passages from the King James Version of the New Testament which refer to Christ's disciples as the "Church(es) of God." Never mind that the original Greek word, ekklesia, which is translated into English as "Church" means "an assembly of people called together." Hence, literally, the various passages which he quoted in his remarks refer to an assembly of people called together by God! In other words, the ekklesia of God describes what the Church IS - it is NOT a proper name. In the same way, the "Continuing Church of God" describes a group of people who belong to the organization which Bob Thiel founded!

As we have already noted, Pastor Thiel believes that the "true" ekklesia of God will be "the right size" (meaning that the Church would be small in numbers). His proof? He quotes a number of passages from the New Testament which refer to a "little flock" and talk about intense persecution. Now, to be sure, the early Church was very small in numbers. Indeed, the Church remained focused on Jerusalem for the first decade of its existence! Nevertheless, what Bob forgets or ignores is that Christ had predicted that his gospel would be preached throughout the world before the end, and that he commanded his disciples to "Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you." (Matthew 28:19-20) In other words, Christ never intended for his ekklesia to remain a small and insular group of folks centered locally in Judaea!

Pastor Thiel went on to point out that the early Church continued to observe Torah. He even quoted theologian JJL Ratton:

The early Church at Jerusalem, retained most of the distinctive customs of the Jews, such as circumcision, kosher meats, the Jewish Sabbath, the Jewish rites, and worship of the Temple. Our Lord, Himself, lived the exterior life of a Jew, even so far as the observance of Jewish religious customs was concerned. The early Church of Jerusalem followed His example. The Jews looked upon the Hebrew Christians in Jerusalem simply as a Jewish sect, which they called the sect of the Nazarenes.

Of course, Thiel fails to mention that Jesus was a Jew, and that he HAD to fulfill the provisions of Torah! Likewise, Thiel fails to mention that Christ's disciples, and the members of the early Church, were entirely JEWISH. In other words, we would expect to find Jews observing the provisions of Torah! However, it is also clear that most Gentiles were completely unfamiliar with the Jewish Scriptures and had no tradition(s) of observing the commandments therein!

Moreover, Pastor Thiel fails to acknowledge the significance of the great Council of Jerusalem which was called to settle the matter of a Gentile Christian's obligation(s) with regard to the commandments of Torah (see Acts 15). Indeed, when we read this Scriptural account of that Council, we see that the "Jewish" apostles decided to exempt Gentiles from any obligation to become Jews or to observe the tenets of Torah!

Bob went on to underscore the importance of the failure of the second Jewish rebellion against the Romans in 135 CE, but he ignores the traumatic events of 70 CE - when the Romans destroyed Herod's Temple and Jerusalem and ended Jewish self-rule. Why was this such an egregious omission? Because, from that day forward, it was NO LONGER POSSIBLE to observe the commandments of Torah in the manner prescribed in those first five books of the Hebrew Bible! This was true for both Jews and Jewish Christians.

Mr. Thiel also authored an article titled "History of Early Christianity in which he makes a number of statements which are clearly untrue! In that article, he listed a number of doctrinal positions which he attributed to the early Church. Among those, he cited: Baptism, both Testaments, Binitarianism, Hierarchical Church government, the "true" Gospel, tithes and offerings used to support the ministry, etc. Of course, to anyone with even a passing acquaintance with the history of First Century Christianity, a number of problems with Bob's assertions about the teachings of the early Church will be immediately apparent!

Baptism was a ritual which pointed to the burial of the old self and the resurrection of the new person in Christ. The ONLY Scriptures available to First Century Christians were the ones found in the Hebrew Bible - the same one which we now refer to as the Old Testament! While some of the epistles and Gospel accounts were available to some congregations during the latter half of the First Century, it is a well-established fact that the canon of the New Testament took a couple of centuries to come together in the form that we now enjoy. Likewise, there are a number of Scriptural passages which make reference to the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit (and I would defy anyone to say that the Holy Spirit is not God)! Moreover, Jesus did NOT teach an authoritarian or hierarchical form of church governance. Christ taught SERVANT leadership, and his early disciples practiced that in their individual congregations. After the fall of Jerusalem, there wasn't any "headquarter" Church! According to the Hebrew Bible, tithes were owed by the Israelites to support the Temple, Levites, priests, poor, and to celebrate the commanded festivals at the central sanctuary. In short, in almost every instance, Bob's assertions fail both the Scriptural and historical accounts available to us!

Like many of the followers of Herbert Armstrong, Bob ignores the Didache, epistles of Ignatius of Antioch, writings of Justin Martyr, epistle of Barnabas, etc. and the evidence which they supply about early Christian beliefs and practices. He ignores both the Scriptural and historical evidence which points to the fact that Christians began celebrating Sunday in the First Century - in the time of the apostles. He also ignores the clear evidence that the "Gospel" or "Good News" was all about Jesus Christ and salvation through him - that his purpose was to save all of humanity! No, I'm afraid that Bob Thiel is NOT an expert on early Christianity. His narrative is like the fairy tales of old - it pleases the children of Herbert W Armstrong, but it bears little resemblance to what actually happened!

Belief and Salvation in Armstrongism

The Relationship between Truth and Belief (Fair Use)

Belief and Salvation in Armstrongism

An Example of the Autocratic Model of Belief Management

By Scout

"In essentials, unity; in non-essentials, liberty; in all things, charity."

– A common view of belief in mainstream Christianity

There are some beliefs that I hold that are not held by the denomination I belong to. One of my personal beliefs has scriptural support in the New Testament and was common among the Patristics but has fallen into obscurity in modern day Christianity. Further, there are some things in Christian belief that I hold without reserve. Then there are others where I permit myself some reserve. While I subscribe to the idea of the Eternal Generation of the Son because it effectively reflects Biblical data, I have reservations about it because it is so arcane, therefore, I am not going to fall on my sword over it.

If you are an Armstrongist, you will be uneasy with what I have written in the paragraph above. Because in your world there is a sharply different model of belief. Your belief model does not allow, for instance, “personal beliefs” as I mentioned. You do not believe in having reservations about some points in Armstrongist theology. If you do have points of dissension, you are certainly not going to socialize them. Your beliefs are, in effect, the totality of the little booklet theology written by Herbert W. Armstrong (HWA). And if you stray into dissension unwittingly because you do not understand an Armstrongist belief precisely, you will always capitulate to little booklet theology when questioned. This essay is about how belief is articulated with salvation in Armstrongism and a comparison with Christianity. When I refer to Armstrongism, I am referring to classical, pre-1995 Armstrongism.

The Armstrongist Model of Belief

HWA styled himself as an Apostle who set the doctrine in the Armstrongist church (and hence all of “Christianity” from his viewpoint) and was the defender of “the faith.” His writing was thought by his followers to be inspired by God and God does not make mistakes. This was supported by a putative church history in which “the truth” was lost to apostasy in the early centuries of the church and was again revealed to HWA eighteen and a half centuries later. And the Bible is a coded book and only HWA can decode it. And if you did not agree with HWA’s declared theology, you were in a state of rebellion against God himself. In this model of belief, HWA spoke Ex Cathedra with infallibility. This is reconstructed from memory reaching back to the Twentieth Century. I did not do a literature search, but I would be surprised if this recollection were not accurate.

The Case of Belief in “Soul Sleep”

A case in point. Do you really need to believe in “soul sleep,” an old Adventist viewpoint, in order to receive salvation? Christianity does not have heartburn over soul sleep. Roger Olson, a theologian at Baylor University, does not regard soul sleep even as a heresy. He feels it is really just an opinion. My guess is that if you openly state that you do not believe in soul sleep in an Armstrongist denomination, you will eventually be disfellowshipped. First, you will be counseled and if you remain recalcitrant you will be cast out as a rebel against the government of God. An issue of belief is transformed into an issue of governance. This is because you do not have the liberty under denominational governance to believe anything outside the boundaries of little booklet theology.

In truth, I don’t know how thoroughly these boundaries have been tested. Maybe you could believe that Zebulon is really only part of Holland but not all of it. Maybe nobody would care about that. But I doubt that you could decide not to unleaven your house one year and yet remain a member in good standing. Such issues of belief might even pivot on the autocratic proclivities of your local Armstrongist minister more than anything else. Maybe he would insist on your fealty to the body of church belief exactly as it is written up in the little booklets. No quarter given. This approach might even be couched as “bound in heaven.”

I believe soul sleep is a non-essential. However, I don’t believe that Armstrongist theology sorts beliefs into essential and non-essential categories. When I was an Armstrongist, I was always rigorous about belief in little booklet theology. So, I did not have the occasion to collect much empirical evidence on how some assertion of personal belief might be handled by the Armstrongist ministry. I had no personal beliefs. I don’t now have a big commitment to the intermediate state as opposed to soul sleep. If I arrived in the next life and someone told me that soul sleep was actually true, I would not go so far as to yawn but it would not disturb my equanimity. It is non-essential to salvation.

The Case for Viewpoint

The Bible implicitly permits viewpoint by not being exhaustive on every subject. For instance, consider the subject of what happens to a person immediately after death. There is an exegesis that points to soul sleep. And there is also an exegesis for the intermediate state. The Biblical authors do not treat this topic exhaustively so there is naturally divergence in viewpoint among readers. I happen to believe that the intermediate state belief has more supportive data in scripture. Yet, the fact is, we do not find incontrovertible clarity in scripture on the topic of soul sleep.

I do believe there are principles of Christianity that are incontrovertible. Christianity is, after all, a thing. It has boundaries within which core essentials reside. You can get so far away from the core, like the Circumcision Party did, that Paul says that Christ no longer has an effect for you and you are fallen from grace (Galatians 5:4). I also believe that we are intended to grow in knowledge as the Holy Spirit provides (John 14:26, 2 Peter 3:18). Only brothers that are a little naïve would assert that we know pretty much all that there is to know about God and his Way – that knowledge is no static.

Some might say that no understanding can happen outside the leadership of the church. But if the leadership of the church says that Pentecost is on Monday, does that make it so? And what is the status of those people in the pews who recognized it as being on Sunday before the pulpit recognized it was on Sunday? Belief may not correspond to truth as the graphic at the top shows. Is it possible in this system that someone could have been disfellowshipped for keeping Pentecost on the right day? I believe the suppression of viewpoint by church leadership is not an issue of correct belief but of denominational discipline. It is an issue of governance. If the church preaches error, you as a follower must believe error until the church reforms its position, if ever.

The Upshot

Armstrongism brooks no disagreement on theology. Since the Bible is not exhaustive on every topic and translating ancient language is somewhat elastic because modern word definitions may be just consensus definitions, a better approach would be to recognize the division between essential and non-essential beliefs. And the autocratic approach to belief does not play well with salvation. It burdens salvation with conditions that could be classed as denominational interpretations. This topic is non-trivial. I cannot do it justice in a few words. I am interested in what others think.

Philadelphia Church of God Sure Knows How To Waste Tithe Money On Flurry's Grandkids

The Philadelphia Church of God certainly knows how to spend members' tithe money on extravagant, seemingly unnecessary purchases. There was no justification for buying a Gulfstream jet, except that Flurry wanted to avoid commercial flights and the general public. The jet has never been used to meet world leaders or spread any gospel message. Instead, it serves as a personal playground for Lil’ Stevie, his children, and other PCG elites, ferrying them across the country for Irish dance competitions and stage shows featuring Judd Flurry.
Additionally, hundreds of thousands of dollars have been spent on new dance studios, hiring British and Irish Celtic dance instructors, staging performances, and traveling nationwide and internationally—none of which has anything to do with delivering a gospel message.

Are you going to be on Aaron Dean's pit crew when he pulls in to restart the church and win the race?

Is Aaron Dean anticipating a divine revelation?

Might he break away from the United Church of God, align with Samuel Kitchen, and revive the Worldwide Church of God for a final effort?

Could tens of thousands of COG members from various splinter groups abandon their current affiliations to follow Aaron?

Will the true faith be reestablished?

Could Herbert be miraculously brought back to life to serve as one of the two witnesses in Jerusalem?

Might Dean be the second witness?

Or could it be Bob Thiel? Dave Pack?

After all, this is the Church of God, where speculation drives its momentum.

The Worldwide Church of God is NOT my church. It wasn’t even the church of Herbert W Armstrong. It is the Church of God, headed by Jesus Christ, and organized by God from Heaven!
The apostle simply bound and loosened on earth what was already bound and loosened in Heaven.
When corrected was needed, Mr Armstrong ran and cried out to his father in Heaven, crying ABBA Father! He moved Heaven and earth to repent and get things on the right track with God.
That’s His real Legacy!
When sin was found out, he ran towards God!
In the Church of the Living God, Mr Armstrong was inspired to establish an Advisory Council of Elders. He appointed men to that council. And to that council he delegated authority and powers, so they could take FULL CHARGE of the work, its assets, and activities.
That’s beyond us brethren, we had no say in what Christ led Mr Armstrong to do.
Now the only man left from that Advisory Council of Elders, is Mr Aaron Dean.
Mr Armstrong already revealed it. He was shown by Jesus Christ who needed to be on that council. Judas was given to Christ. So was other judas-types given the apostle. What they were strong in, Christ used. But they were overcome by their weaknesses.
This was already revealed. I am not revealing anything new. This stuff happened prior to my birth!
Now recently I have been highlighting it.
Since 2010, I have been raising awareness of what belongs to God belongs to God!
Now I had been going to these church groups, to see if they are where Christ is working. These groups are not where Jesus Christ is working!
This analogy sums it up. Go and walk outside of your home. Look at it from the outside. You are NOT inside while you are outside. A step from the inside to the outside is step AWAY from the inside!
It is a separation.
Every group, and it does not matter how well intentioned people are, are OUTSIDE of the spiritual Temple called the Worldwide Church of God. They are a separated group.
Now, I am raising awareness of the role and function of Mr Aaron Dean, within the Worldwide Church of God, because this is REVEALED ALREADY BY GOD through His apostle!
Mr Aaron Dean simply admitted to it, like Jonah on the boat. So not only do we have the revelation of Jesus Christ putting Mr Aaron Dean in that Advisory Council of Elders; but we also have a second testimony and witness from Mr Aaron Dean admitting he is!
I’m only declaring this to be of God! I’m highlighting it, and seeking to edify the Worldwide Church of God and strengthen this ministerial assignment to Mr Aaron Dean!
Have you ever watched a nascar race?
Did you ever see a pit crew assist another racer from another team? No, they wait until the man who is on THEIR TEAM comes around, and they assist that man!
Now, that man who was duly appointed to this team, is coming back around, and I want to be found “so doing” and assist the man God put into position! No man did that. Mr Armstrong had it revealed to him by Jesus Christ!
But I can’t assist him as God wants to me to assist him, by leaving this team and joining with another team! That sure is confusing!
Imagine any sport or combat situation!
But people are asking why am I waiting for this man, who is engaged with another church, to return to the Worldwide Church of God?
When God reveals something, it shouldn’t be taken lightly. I am simply highlighting what is already revealed.
Mr Dean has said he waiting for God to reveal something for him, and he has said he will do it. God will hold him to his word.
Remember Zechariah 3, is a reminder to the Joshua figure, of his ministerial and temple duties. He seemingly appears to be unfit for the job, but God is reinstalling the man in his job!
The Worldwide Church of God is founded on the old testament prophets and the New Testament apostles.
Mr Armstrong needed to be established as an apostle, as part of our foundation!
Christ is the cornerstone!
I believe the Bible. And I stand with the servant of the Living God, who was used by Jesus Christ to duly appoint Aaron Dean to the office and role and function, and rank, that he now ALONE HAS! There is no denying it! No running away! No hiding!
I may be called a madman. But does believing God and God’s Word, make me a mad man? Or make me a smart man? I may be stupid, but I may be smart enough to believe God. Samuel Kitchen

Rwanda Giving So-Called Ministers of the Self-Appointed Crackpot False Prophet A Hard Time

Things are looking grim for self-proclaimed prophet Bwana Bob Thiel, God's supposed favorite. Rwanda now requires preachers to have legitimate academic and doctrinal qualifications, as outlined in its regulations for Faith-Based Organizations. Thiel's so-called evangelists, like "Evangelist" Evans, lack any formal education, relying solely on Thiel’s shoddy booklets, sermons, and scraps from their previous Sabbatarian affiliations before defecting to join him.

Of course, the Great Bwana takes this as a sure sign that Satan is thwarting God's plan for Africa,

As mentioned here before, the government of Rwanda has put in laws that are severely biased against smaller churches. And while we have worked to come up with solutions, Satan’s latest tactic in Rwanda is to restrict foreign ministers.

Moise Nshimiyimana sent the following:

Dear Pastor and Overseer Dr Bob
Greetings from CCOG Rwanda .

Dear Pastor , many prayers to CCOG Rwanda because government has again declared other new regulations of prohibiting some Evangelist to come to Rwanda as Evangelist Evans came . It means that next he will not come as Evangelist says that he will come as friendly visitor .
Attached in secondly email there is that new regulations .

About DVDs , we need it because we can play them like that you send it last . But if possible you send again another one book of Lost Tribes and prophecies and books of Bible-hymnal . But again we continue the project of translate that books in our language like Rwanda Burundi and Congo . And we completed the correct words of the two books you send in our language , is Mysteries of God and the Kingdom of God .

Dear Pastor , we continue to teach baptismal candidates through the way of online and 12 continue to ask us to be baptized because they have already believed .
Thanks ,
Moïse .

Anyway, yes, we will send the DVD and other items he has requested. It is great that 12 there want to be baptized.

Now, here is part of the new regulations Moise Nshimiyimana referred to:

RWANDA GOVERNANCE BOARD (RGB) DIRECTIVE NO. 002/RGB/2025 ON THE REGULATION OF FOREIGN PREACHERS OPERATING WITHIN FAITH-BASED ORGANIZATIONS IN RWANDA

Pursuant to the provisions of Law No. 56/2016 of 16/12/2016 establishing the Rwanda Governance Board and determining its mission, organization, and functioning, particularly its mandate to regulate and monitor the operations of faith-based organizations; …

Article 1: Scope of application

This Directive applies to all foreign religious preachers who intend to participate in religious activities within the territory of Rwanda, and to all registered Faith-Based Organizations (“FBOs”) hosting such individuals.

Article 2: Requirements for foreign preachers

Any foreign preacher seeking to operate within the Republic of Rwanda must:

1.

Fulfill the minimum academic and doctrinal qualifications as stipulated in the regulatory framework governing Faith-Based Organizations.

Secure a valid conference visa or any other visa category duly recognized by the Directorate General of Immigration and Emigration, which authorizes participation in religious conferences, seminars, workshops, or related events.

3.

Be formally invited and hosted by a Faith-Based Organization that holds a valid certificate of legal personality issued by the Board.

Notice that the government of Rwanda is requiring a specific education as well as doctrinal qualifications for visiting ministers.

This is terrible, but we will attempt to deal with this.

Satan, the prince of the power of the air (Ephesians 2:2), continues to push government officials in Rwanda to stop the growth of the Church of God in that country.

Yet, Jesus said that the gates of death (Hades) would not stop the true church (Matthew 16:18), so, despite persecuting rules, we continue and are having growth in Rwanda.

African governments, like any other, have the authority to limit the spread of unconventional American cults—particularly those born from jealousy—into their nations, protecting them from heresy and falsehoods.

Dave Pack: A Horrible Message by a Horrible Person

Plausible Deniability

David C. Pack of The Restored Church of God has achieved a new low that I did not think was possible. After listening to "The Greatest Untold Story! (Part 582)" given on June 28, 2025, he revealed to everyone what his true nature is.

David C. Pack is evil. Part 582 proves it.

The Pastor General of the Restored Church of God willfully deceived the brethren in a calculated, self-serving exercise so desperately repugnant it exposed his character as a man and so-called minister. Not even the All-Believing Zealots should believe him any longer.

Sadly, many in RCG will be unable to see what he just did to them, nor would they accept the wicked motives driving Part 582. Visiting teenagers participating in Ambassador Youth Camp were part of the captive audience at Headquarters. Keep that in mind.

For 8 minutes, David C. Pack taught that
some lies are excused by God.

David C. Pack preached that the Kingdom of God
would arrive on Tammuz 5 (July 1, 2025).

After 38 minutes, David C. Pack announced
that he does not believe it.

He hoped they “appreciate” what he goes through
figuring out dates.

While he was preaching about Tammuz 5, Dave inserted a few caveats to create plausible deniability.

plausible deniability
"the ability to say in a way that seems possibly true that you did not know about something or were not responsible for something”
Cambridge Dictionary

“1. Possible to contradict or declare untrue: deniable accusations; 2. Being such that plausible disavowal or disclaimer is possible”
FreeDictionary

“Plausible means you could conclude that something might or might not be possible.”
The Law Dictionary

If anyone pointed out Dave was setting a date contrary to his admission that “no man knows the day and hour,” he could deny he actually set a date. If anyone pointed out he was lying, Dave installed his own loophole for that, too.

David C. Pack out-sleazed Bradford Schleifer as being the resident politician playing word games. Edward Winkfield must have been impressed how Dave could lie and gaslight the brethren on the Sabbath and, by the end, deny he ever set a date. Even though that is what he did.

Brethren who still think they attend God’s One True Church need to take a hard, slow look at what is being taught to them and the spirit behind it all.

David C. Pack taught Tammuz 5 as a date for the arrival of the Kingdom of God. He used preaching under God’s authority and His name on the Sabbath to teach the brethren of The Restored Church of God a selfish lesson.

Whoever challenges him on it will face the harsh reality of plausible deniability.

This was how David C. Pack concluded preaching about Tammuz 5 (July 1, 2025).

Part 582 – June 28, 2025
@ 1:25:16 All these support points read like God is saying, “I mean this date.” Ready? But does He? …Does He? I have real serious doubts about it. “How could you, Mr. Pack? Why?”

After preaching about Tammuz 5 for 38 minutes, the Pastor General of The Restored Church of God tells his members he does not believe it.

@ 1:28:39 But you can see the enormous complexity. I took you through this because I do not believe it is the 5th [Tammuz].

What was his point? To teach RCG members a singular lesson.

@ 1:30:15 Other dates coming soon are actually much stronger than what you heard about Tammuz 5. I expect to see ya in the middle of the week. Enjoy Camp and ponder, [chuckles] ponder what we learned and maybe appreciate for all those who were involved in trying to figure this date out. Try to pret–this is hard. [chuckles] But it is. I hope you found it fascinating.

Teenagers about to attend Ambassador Youth Camp, did you hear him? Your Pastor General told you to ponder what you learned.

The young people learned that the leader of the church does not care for the sheep. They learned he would deceive and manipulate them for 38 minutes, build up their hope, and then let them crash while chuckling. They learned the Pastor General does not value their time. They learned a self-proclaimed apostle would speak on the Sabbath in God's name and squander that time to satisfy his own perverse, personal reasons. They learned that the leader setting the standard for conduct in The Restored Church of God had no hesitation in planning out and executing a theological ruse for the sole purpose of garnering empathy for his self-assigned role.

The teenagers also learned that God will sometimes bless people who lie if the circumstances are ripe. But that comes later.

David C. Pack used “The Greatest Untold Story! (Part 582)” to teach members a lesson. They better appreciate him for what he has been trying to do. Part 582 was a vile ego stroke. That is all it was.

Fresh off the “no man knows the day and hour” but “we know the hour” of Part 581, Dave was dying inside to say he knows both. At first, Part 582 sounded like our wait was over.

Remember: he renounces all of this at the very end, 38 minutes later. Listen for the subtle ground being laid for plausible deniability.

@ 50:11 Endless possibilities and scenarios for when the Kingdom would come have existed, and some still do. When will the Kingdom come?

@ 50:24 But eventually, as I've tried to tell myself and the men I work closely with, out of the fog [chuckles] and the smoke and the mist and the confusion [chuckles] and the sound and fury and noise and just the the the din of the process, a day will eventually rise up like the Colossus of Rhodes that cannot tarry and is simply unassailable from every angle. It hadn’t happened yet. I'm getting awfully close to some interesting things.

@ 51:29 So, these these manifold scenarios, they all look like they're right. Eventually, they winnow down and winnow down and winnow down and and then, we we learn the day.

It kills him that he cannot just declare, "I know the day and the hour," even though that is what he has been doing since 2012. But only in a way that does not erase his ability to have plausible deniability.

@ 51:45 Now, a week ago, I told you I didn't think anything would happen because I was coming pre–I think pretty close to knowing the day. And it's infinitely more complex than I thought and at the in the end, in some ways, very simple.

But, during Part 581, Dave said he was not going to share his suspicions.

Flashback Part 581 – June 21, 2025
@ 1:25:10 But I doubt that I'm gonna be able to tell you the day. …I have more than one suspicion. So why why give you any of them?

But we all know how valuable his word truly is, which is why he taught about Tammuz 5.

Part 582 – June 28, 2025
@ 52:58 I feel, well, I don't know. I'll say duty-bound in a way to lay out the case for a particular date. I'm not asserting it as absolute. I'ma lay it out to you, and it's gonna show you, in part, how incredibly complicated it is… You consider the facts. This date is Tammuz 5.

David C. Pack felt “duty bound” to conspire, manipulate, mislead, trick, and feign in God’s name a gullible audience of faithful believers. He is a petty, bitter man. It gnaws at his soul that he is not allowed to know the day and hour of Jesus Christ’s return.

Just like a typical mentally imbalanced authoritarian, he lashes out at the very people who treat him the best. If he is not allowed to know the day and hour, then he is going to punish the people who want him to.

Dave dangles the succulent Tammuz 5 carrot in front of the brethren, ready to hit them on the head with his barbed wire stick. It takes a cold, twisted mind to willfully preach the likelihood of Tammuz 5 while knowing he has a cruel “gotcha” waiting for them.

@ 1:06:21 So now, how serious should we be about this? Tammuz 5 is certainly is certainly in the general midst of the years. As best I could could understand them.

@ 1:07:14 What authority have we to change this date? We don't. I don't have any authority. Now now, we could be suspicious. But this date has to pass for it to be wrong.

David C. Pack proves that no matter what math he conjures, it does not mean anything. Even when he believes it.

@ 1:17:41 And and that number would be derived by studying the same Book of Revelation, which is the only place where you have the 144,000 saints and 144,000 Israelites. Are we confirming Tammuz 5? Or is God, or has God got something else in mind?

Even worthless facts cannot escape the gravitational pull of David C. Pack’s dishonesty.

@ 1:19:30 And I've gotta know a date to plan final messages. Series would actually be over. Tonight, I will hit 1,040 hours. Done. That’s it. Literally 1,040. I’d be rushing to finish.

@ 1:24:37 We're commanded to watch. I am. If he knew he he would tell the the the church. They’re anticipating. It's a day that cannot tarry. All say a known day. Some day, we learn cannot tarry. Tammuz 5 certainly fits.

David C. Pack's moral blindness is so complete he has no fear when associating God with his lies.

@ 1:24:59 God knew we'd never accept Tammuz 5, and I didn't until it configured all around us. [taps table] Curiously, I'm just doing the math. This is my 60th [chuckles] Tammuz 5, but I wuddn’t watching it. [chuckles] But it's my 60th.

At 88 minutes into Part 582, brethren in the Main Hall at Headquarters were convinced that Pastor General David C. Pack was teaching Tammuz 5 at sunset was the day and hour of Jesus Christ’s return. He was saying he nailed both.

But then.

@ 1:28:45 I took you through this because I do not believe it is the 5th.

He took them through that because he is horrible. Not just a poor presenter, a bad speaker, or a weak minister. No, David C. Pack is an awful person. But he does have some plausible deniability.

Those familiar with The Usual Suspects, Fight Club, or any Christopher Nolan movie know that once you get to the conclusion, you can reframe the entire story with fuller context and a complete perspective.

David C. Pack slid in comments and intentionally crafted sentences throughout Part 582 to clue brethren in on his stealthy disagreement with Tammuz 5. Plausible deniability shines like a beacon after you conclude the matter.

@ 53:22 This date is Tammuz 5.

@ 53:48 Now you can get excited. Don't get too excited till you hafta hear the facts.

Facts are presented through a narrow perspective, with confirmation bias as the goal.

@ 1:09:16 Tammuz 5 is a Tuesday. Odds are 6 to 1 against that. But it's a Tuesday. Now, I'm just I I'm not asserting anything. I'm telling you what the Scriptures say. There no way to argue with. Some of this is just facts. And there's more. You consider the facts.

The brethren really should consider this fact: During Part 582, David C. Pack demonstrated that he can manipulate the Scriptures and fool them into believing whatever he desires, even when he wants them to think he is sincere. By doing this, Dave revealed more than he intended. But how many in RCG even care?

@ 1:17:41 And and that number would be derived by studying the same Book of Revelation, which is the only place where you have the 144,000 saints and 144,000 Israelites. Are we confirming Tammuz 5? Or is God, or has God got something else in mind?

David C. Pack has no idea what God has in mind. He does not speak with God’s authority and lies when he speaks in His name. He knowingly deceived them to fulfill a personal goal: Teach them a hard lesson about appreciating what he does.

The RCG teenagers about to attend AYC should ponder the lessons their Pastor General taught them on the Sabbath of June 28, 2025. The adults will knowingly lie to them about what God is planning, what God wants, and what God has in mind.

I have greater faith in the young people of RCG for seeing Dave as what he truly is before their parents will.

Tammuz 5 was the bait on the hook. Dave waited for his moment to knock the tar out of them. All the while claiming plausible deniability that he ever set a date.

How is it possible for a so-called minister of Jesus Christ to premeditate lying to members of his church on the Sabbath and still retain his credibility and position of power with a clear conscience?

When you first listen to Part 582, Dave’s 8-minute section about lying seems out of place and disconnected. By the time you finish Part 582, it makes perfect sense. Dave inoculated his audience by planting the seed that God sometimes okays lying.

This is why David C. Pack is evil. His intentional trickery was thoroughly considered and planned. Using cunning craftiness, he lied in wait to deceive. Eight minutes about lying had a purpose: to give David C. Pack some plausible deniability.

@ 30:00 Therefore, God dealt well with the midwives for lying to Pharaoh. Anybody ever notice that?

This next denial seemed innocent at the time but is exposed as self-serving 58 minutes later.

@ 33:04 Now, I just wanna qu–I wanna ma–be sure nobody thinks that I'm teach, “The Bible says it's alright to lie.” I'm just telling you these stories, and they're it is wrong to bear false witness against your neighbor. But it is not wrong to protect people, even if it is not true.

Dave is splitting hairs. His perspective is that the commandment is about lying against a neighbor. How is misleading his brothers and sisters in Christ for 38 minutes not a lie against them? It certainly was not to their benefit. The perceived benefit belonged all to him.

@ 33:28 So, God says there has to be a distinction.

One of the lessons the AYC teenagers learned during Part 582 that is sure to have far-reaching repercussions for RCG families is that God will wink at your lie if the circumstances are right. The parents must be very proud of which church they have dragged their children into.

@ 35:14 Curiously, one can lie and be praised by God and even blessed in a big way. And they lie because they fear God.

@ 36:13 They're gonna see some amazing things go on in the Kingdom. You can have God condemn a person who boasts and praise a person. A boast what is true. True. And and praise a person who uses a certain kind of deceit to to to make a point.

Dave just twisted the Bible stories about the midwives and Pharaoh, Paul using guile, Solomon ordering the baby to be split in two, and Rahab and the spies. They were not all trying to “make a point.” Dave just blurred that into the lessons to save his own skin for what he was about to do.

Dave applies another layer to his plausible deniability in 3…2…1…

@ 37:49 Yes, but he [Paul] use psychology, and some people are too self-righteous to comprehend that that could be done. But I I just leave you to think about those things.

The shaming language comes out to defuse anyone having an issue with the Pastor General's teaching that lying is sometimes acceptable, especially those AYC parents who may not be so enthused about what their children just learned.

The same people afraid of being self-righteous might also excuse Dave for lying about Tammuz 5 for 38 minutes during their Sabbath.

There is a big difference between God letting a lie slide afterward and counting on Him approving it in advance. Some might consider that “sinning willfully.” And falsely teaching Tammuz 5 to gain sympathy for teaching the other 130 failed dates is hardly the noble cause to wave a flag about.

Avoiding the appearance of evil be damned.

Part 582 is nowhere near a “sparing the infants of Israel” moment. Dave knows this. I hope the brethren do, too. In The Restored Church of God, it matters more about what David C. Pack says rather than what the Bible says. Members who challenge that idea quickly learn how on their own they really are.

Part 582 was given yesterday. Why did I rush to call this out?

@ 1:20:26 Such short notice allows Christ to come as a thief. It says four times, He comes as a thief. Even the enemies who wish us all dead won't have time to hear this.

David C. Pack is an evil deceiver. He willfully lied to the brethren of The Restored Church of God. Even when he takes off his mask, a worse face is underneath. It is not plausible to deny that.
