Malm is reporting that the individual that Melvin Rhodes had his affair with is in COGWA. COGWA is ready to go through a huge trial in New Zealand that will expose the underhandedness of COGWA in their break away from United Church of God.
Franks is now one of COGWA's leaders and knows the scoop on a lot of shenanigans of UCG minsters. Many are wondering why Franks dug this affair of Rhodes up at this point in time considering it had been "repented of" years ago. Is this a dig by COGWA at UCG for the soon coming court trial?
I have a feeling we will soon see a lot of mud thrown around from both churches towards each other. Doesn't it make you PROUD to be COG member today????!!!!!!
After the split Doug Horchak became Ministerial Director for COGWA and along with Jim Franks knew most of not all of the issues in the ministry of both COGWA and UCG; including the problems of Melvin Rhodes which were no secret in the Rhodes congregation.
At the same time Vic Kubik and Melvin Rhodes knew most of the ministerial secrets of both ministries as well.
The UCG has launched lawsuits against COGWA and engaged in defamation and slander against people associated with COGWA especially in Africa.
Now the New Zealand law suit is coming to a head and will be extremely negative for COGWA and COGWA needs a distraction. COGWA also is deeply offended by UCG attacks.
The timing of this UCG crisis could not have been better for COGWA.

The basic problem is this. As a group, the former ministers of WCG have proven themselves to be unconcerned the congregation, unable to sacrifice for the flock, and unwilling to change attitude or take direction. Without HWA's legendary temper and threats to keep them in control, they continue to throw their tantrums and take their figurative ball and go home.
I believe this signals a whole new level of self-destruct for the ACOGs.

I'm sure you're right. These people are no Einsteins. They'd gnaw off their own arms and consider themselves well-fed. The end is inevitable, but the process is slow and painful.

MY COMMENT: I'm confused. I thought Rhodes was in UCG.

I HOPE you're right!
All he needs to say is "I did not have sexual relations with that woman!"

LOL Which will mean that he did have sexual relations with that woman. Then again it all depends on what the meaning of the word "is" is.
I wonder if this is going to get so down and dirty that competing ACOGs will eventually be hiring prosties to seduce one another's ministers. There would be very few more effective ways of destroying a ministry.

Wouldn't it be cheaper and easier just to catch them eating a Twinkie?
OTOH, maybe Melvin Rhodes WAS caught eating "Twinkie"

The New Testament does give standards for the ministry and it would seem that if someone violates the standard they can be forgiven and be a member, but can no longer be a minister.
Such things as being a false prophet, for example.
This is a shameful article like National Enquirer spreading false rumors about COGWA.

Hi Mark,
Which issue of National Enquirer has an article about COGWA? I may just buy a copy for the first time ever!
(And as a bonus, I could find out whether the design of Kim Kardashian's butt is really the result of a collaborative effort between Jesus and Mitt Romney in a secret Mormon temple ceremony.)

"Did COGWA Instigate The Current Melvin Rhodes Debacle?"
No, of course not! Melvin Rhodes instigated it himself with his own shameful conduct and behavior. Stop trying to blame other people who had nothing to do with Melvin's immorality.
"All he needs to say is 'I did not have sexual relations with that woman!'"
Is it for certain "a woman"?
