COG Prophet Says: Unless you gather together with my group you will not make it to the place of safety!

Did you know that Zephaniah spoke specifically about the need for COG followers today to join up with the improperly named "continuing" Church of God?  Unless you heed the call your chances of making it to Petra are slim to none. Your privilege of being able to sit fro 3 1/2 years watching the true prophet wave his hands in the air against the backdrop of a crooked cave will be revoked unless you gather together with the only true Christians on the face of the earth today.

Improperly criticized, almost-arrested but not arrested Elijah, Elisha, Amos Joshua, Ezekiel, Zephaniah Bitter Bwana Bob Thiel says so...so it HAS to be true!  COG members are also apparently too stupid to understand prophecy unless it is interpreted by Zephaniah Bob.

The old WCG taught that Zephaniah had to do with being protected, yet few teach that today.
Since no later that 2007 I have written that Zephaniah had to do with Philadelphians being ‘gathered together’ so that they would be protected from the coming trial that will hit the earth.
We in the Continuing Church of God “have also a more sure word of prophecy; whereunto ye do well that ye take heed, as unto a light that shineth in a dark place, until the day dawn, and the day star arise in your hearts” (2 Peter 1:19, KJV).”
Should we not be “exhorting one another, and so much the more as you see the Day approaching” (Hebrews 10:25)?
We in the Continuing Church of God boldly teach the need for Philadelphians to be ‘gathering together’ today. Will you heed God’s instructions as the Prophet Zephaniah was inspired to write? Would you possibly like to be protected? If so, will you ‘gather together’?

You may find it amusing or even titillating to read about Bob's sophistries, but they're not amusing to me. They're deeply troubling.

Evidence exists to suggest that Bob simply spouts endless fine-sounding cliches which are unintelligible, crazy dialectic, but that's a story for another time. For now, however, I must say that Bob's rantings are so pharisaical that they will be easily taken up and assimilated by those whose intellectual level corresponds to the material offered.

Bob doesn’t realize that people have been so bombarded by fear rhetoric over the past decades, that it has largely lost its motivational power. If he really wants to make any progress with his agenda, he should study the styles of some of the great motivational speakers. If your doctor warns you that you are going to die unless you change your lifestyle, most will listen. If a politician or religious leader makes some dire prognostication, it no longer even registers with most folks. Place of safety? That’s taken on a sinister connotation because of such leaders as Jim Jones and David Koresh.

Avoid the rush! Go to Petra now!

I believe Bob is totally wrong about Zephaniah, and he shows he follows HWA's dispensational interpretation, not an holistic approach. Dave Pack makes similar blunders.

Want to know when to go to Petra? Don't "watch Germany", don't "watch Karl von whatsit", just "watch Bob"! Then stay at home...

Who said soy-boy Bob was talking about Petra...???

Maybe he was talking about the mothership behind the Hale-Bop comet...

If he starts handing out new Nikes, five dollar bills and purple blankets I'd steer clear.

Hoss, did you read this statement in Thiel's Zephaniah comment?

Before I left, the Tkach Administration basically told me to rely on hermeneutics and opinions of worldly scholars to understand the Bible, as opposed to relying on the Bible as the primary tool to interpret it. So, I left WCG.

Bob didn't want to use the opinions of worldly scholars (even though HWA did, selectively, just as the Tkaches did, selectively). So, Bob left WCG and now uses Mayan and Catholic prophecies to understand the Bible!

These self-ordained ACOG prophets go over like a Lead Zephaniah!

Yes, Anon 635, Bob is renown for his use of non-Biblical prophecies to support his interpretation.
Someone probably wrote this parody already (perhaps Connie) but dispensational interpretation can be liken to:

You probably think this verse is about you,
You're so vain...
