No Bob, that's not the reality at all. Government, as per your own Romans 13, which you fail to acknowledge because it goes against your need to feel persecuted, is trying to save lives and put an end to this nightmare.

It has nothing to do with Jews not eating bats and rats and elephants nor does it have anything to do with blame. Shit happens on the planet Bob and good judgment and common sense along with human cooperation will go a hell of a lot further in solving this than your imaginary friends in high places ever will.
You're the prophet. Why did you fail to see this disaster coming? And posting the concerns of the medical profession, immunologist and those that prepare for such things over years of looking ahead in the evolution of viruses doesn't count as "prophecy" That's science and what immunologists do. We don't call them prophets and you're not one by a long shot.
And too...why aren't you promoting homeopathy as the cure to all things? We all know why don't we Bob? It fails to deliver, fails utterly in the proof department and would be prescribing quackery in times like this. And some government authority that is burdened with protecting the public might be giving you a call ala Romans 13 and the scientific and medical community as well to challenge your ignore-ance.
At any rate, we are not seeing government asserting they are above religion. We are seeing common sense and good judgement has to be practiced and sometimes enforced upon the ignorant, self righteous, need to feel persecuted and reckless Churches, pastors and members.

If Bob is concerned only for his COG (and not the many non-COG and "non-Philadelphian") how many congregations is he talking about?
Aren't all his sermons online? Probably a lot of CCOG members have access to a computer, it's not like the days of sitting around in someone's home playing a cassette or VHS tape.
Okay, the bulk of his membership is in Africa, and that would mean a lot of laptops would be needed.

There are so many religions, and so many beliefs that there are circumstances when it is totally appropriate for the greater good, and for the sake of law and order, for the secular government authorities to take precedence over the individual authorities within the various church groups. Who else would mediate, ensure, and administer an atmosphere of religious freedom?
I am sure that Bob Thiel would be against certain local communities within the US which have become predominantly Muslim from enacting Sharia law. It is unlikely that he would defend Islamic cleric's freedom to practice their religion to that extent. He'd have trouble with the honor killings, even though these were practiced in the Old Testament laws enforced by stonings. Thankfully, Federal, State, and local laws take preeminence over the extreme fanatical approach to religious freedom. Muslim's rights to prayer, inclucing in the public schools, do not represent violence or savagery, and are therefore protected by secular government.
Restrictions on Bob Thiel are relatively minor. They do not impinge on his ability to keep the sabbath, holy days, collect tithes, or to avoid
certain kinds of meats. Currently, his ability to visit the area in which 99% of his alleged followers live (Africa) is restricted, he is proscribed from creating environments in which mass exposure to the corona virus is likely, and he is compelled to moderate the language with which he discusses the LGBTQ community. In other words, he is being restricted in his ability to harm others. You see, a message perceived as good cannot be beneficial and harmful simultaneously, and as a naturopath, Bob knows this, as obviously he is aware of medications with horrible side effects.
Even if he complies with the restictions, the basic psychology of his message is still plenty harmful, and although the harm is minimized, the remaining harm is adequately covered by "caveat emptor" as with any other sales presentation. Bob's problem is that he feels that he is above humanity. Thankfully, he lacks the prowess and abilities to attract mass numbers, therefore much of the potential to do harm is self-limited.
A psychopath is potentially to do harm is unlimited. How many poor blacks in Nigeria will die because of this man? In 2 or 3 weeks we may find out.
What I can't understand is why God would take a group of people to The Place of Safety who were indifferent to the safety of others. Maybe Armstrongists are now being sifted into a compassionate good pile and an indifferent bad pile with the good pile Petra-bound based on how they respond to this crisis.

Hardly more than usual. Bob doesn't speak the local dialects or know personally the local people except for the top leaders who receive his payments and gifts. Those leaders are the ones who take Bob to meet his followers, who are really followers of the local leaders.. some of whom are "members" of multiple churches, either under the same name if they are bold/stupid but increasingly under different names for dealing with different American benefactors.

Trust me, all evidence suggests that, at least since his adolescence, Bob has become proficient at not sharing his precise thoughts about homosexuality. If he were honest with and about himself, and with others, he wouldn't have much of an Armstrongist following.

If the true Church is a spiritual organism of called ones, then why during this health crisis can't the weekly holy convocation be by virtual communications? No government at any level has intruded or interfered with my right to assemble in my car or in my place of safety (home) for services of the Lake of Fire Church of God.
I am reminded of the late Ken Westby who conducted the Virtual Church each Sabbath for many years. Ken was ahead of his time in 1974 leaving along with about 3,000 brethren in the first large WCG splinter group, the Associated Churches of God.

Yet, he has missed prophesying one of the most significant aspects of this crisis - the merger of the Federal Reserve and the U.S. Treasury. US banks are members of the Federal Reserve System.
