Imagine a Church of God talking about pride and humility. Then think about Living Church of God leaders, Bob Thiel, Gerald Flurry, and Dave Pack. Never have ween seen more prideful self-righteous leaders than we have today in the Churches of God. Yet, these leaders rarely look at themselves or fellow church leaders. It is always the members who lack humility because they are prideful. Their pride is holding the church back and delaying the return of Christ.
Do you really think it is possible for LCG leaders to overcome their pride and humble themselves so that they can be instruments of God's hands in this world? They could not do this when ministering in the Worldwide Church of God and certainly, have not set the example in 2023, almost 30 years after they tried to start anew, twice.
Pride vs. Humility: Bible prophecies reveal that in the last days, people will be proud, boastful, haughty, and headstrong (2 Timothy 3:1–5). Yet, today, even many “Christians” are unaware of what God says about pride and humility in His word. The Bible states “pride goes before… a fall” (Proverbs 16:18) and that humility is a prerequisite for honor in God’s sight (Proverbs 15:33; 29:23). Jesus said the humble will be blessed (Matthew 5:5), and Peter urged Christians to “be clothed with humility” (1 Peter 5:5). The Scriptures reveal that God used Moses because he was humble (Numbers 12:3) and that Jesus was exalted because He humbled Himself by dying for our sins (Philippians 2:8–9). As we examine ourselves during the Passover and Days of Unleavened Bread, let’s ask God to show us how we can overcome aspects of pride and develop more genuine humility so God can use us as instruments in His hands.

Part of pride is not being able to admit you’re wrong in a certain area. That is the first part of repentance. To admit you’re wrong. And they can’t do it specifically. They are so self righteous, they can’t do it. They’ve been talking about examining one’s self for decades, but they can’t do it. Their pride also leads to greed, greed for positions and power.
None of these "leaders" have the slightest notion of humility. How could they? They were all taught by the king of pride, arrogance and GREED...HWA.
All the proof anyone would need would be to simply read one stupid booklet or article "written" by one of these men and you will immediately see more mention of themselves (I'm looking at you, Bob!!) and HWA than Jesus. Humility is just one of the many words missing in their dictionaries, hence why they use the word often, but with absolutely no idea what it means.

We all know that Rod Meredith was not humble. Even HWA called him out on that when he banished him to Hawaii for a year. However, I feel that Gerald Weston is the most humble leader we have right now.
Ministers strut around as if they are God. They believe that as agents of God, they are entitled to this. Hence they treat members as rightless kindergarten children. These ministers use the word pride as is typically used by bullies. That is, their victims are supposed to see themselves as depraved and worthless (ie, "humble"), and hence deserving of being exploited and treated like dog crap.
Accusations of pride is typically the wolves talking to the lambs, the foxes talking to the chickens.
Pride comes before the fall, and ever since WCOG fell, these leaders in these splinter groups haven’t learned the lesson of humility. All those tithes, all those holy days, all that sabbath keeping and they still fell. They fell because of the leaderships pride.
They want to teach preach to the congregation about pride when actuality it’s the other way around. It’s their attitude of pride, and it’s centered around their christian nationalism, but the Bible says our citizenship is in heaven.

Passover and Days of Unleavened Bread (DUB) focus not on Doug and his group, but focus on what God by the power of His Spirit through Jesus Christ will accomplishe the salvation of humanity (not just solely those of some group) and subsequently destroy Satan and his angels.
Why still examining oneself? Striving to qualify for something? Impress that God whose hands seek someone to do His will?
There is a king of pride, and he is identified by many names, hundreds of names by God. Who is it, Doug?
"He beholdeth all high [things]: he [is] a king over all the children of pride." Job 41:34
Doug, does that ring a bell? Tell us: how would you overcome that thing? Read the rest of Job 41 before you answer.
Why can't Doug and his followers overcome it? After all, if Doug were such an overcomer, that he would like all of us to be, then we would all be sinless, like Doug thinks he is. Why does Doug have a huge problem overcoming in his life? Doug has a spirit that drives him, says James:
"Do ye think that the scripture saith in vain, The spirit that dwelleth in us lusteth to envy?" James 4:5
Doug, it's really there. Do you "see" it yet?
Not only does Doug have lust dwelling in his heart, but pride is there too:
1 John 2:16 "For all that [is] in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world."
How do those things of the world get into our hearts?
Eccl 3:11 "He hath made every [thing] beautiful in his time: also he hath set the world in their heart, so that no man can find out the work that God maketh from the beginning to the end."
Yes, God set it up that way for a purpose. It affects each of us and enables us to learn to hate evil. It's not forever. God still intends to make every thing beautiful in His time: not in Doug's time. But God must do it!
God has fruits of His Spirit, and Satan has fruits of his spirit (Romans 1:29-31; Galatians 5:17-21; John 8:44, etc.). Look them up: proud is one of them evil fruits listed along with lust, etc.

I believe Doug is asking us to ask amiss, because it is God who must overcome the evils in our lives. Satan, that king of pride, is involved with the sin, I John 3:8...
"He that committeth sin is of the devil;..."
Doug, only God can do it in one's life. Jesus was sinless because of what the Father by His Spirit did in His life. Jesus told us, of/by Himself, He could do nothing. Didn't you believe that? How could you ever think you and your followers could do more than Jesus?
Doug, neither you nor your followers can overcome pride and make yourselves humble and become filled with great humility. Period.
So Doug, will you stop blaming/judging your followers for not being "up to par," meeting some requirements you have in your own mind, come to "see" the evils fostered by the actual, Biblically-revealed, king of pride, and begin blaming/judging the real cause of our problems as God inspired Paul to tell us in Ephesians 6:12 ("For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high [places].")?
