Are the two witnesses already among us? Many in the COG have claimed they are one of the two witnesses, including Ron Weinland and his dingy wife Laura. We thankfully know for a fact that Bob Thiel is not one. It is an impossibility. Gerald Flurry and Dave Pack are not them either. So who does that leave? Is it me and Dennis?
We need to look no further than the Kitchen family. Samuel and his brother just might be those two witnesses! Bob Thiel, eat your amateurish heart out! Poor little guy.
Samuel and his brother went on a disastrous journey last year to Jerusalem for the Feast, calling all converted Church of God members to join them there. After having a con pulled on them for hotel reservations, they headed off to Petra. Thankfully while in the Middle East, they did not try and pull a Denis Rohan stunt and start WWIII.
Last year, my brother and I WENT TO JERUSALEM. We were TWO of a family, and the women who came with us from Canada (our mothers in the Lord, 1 Timothy 5:2 "The elder women as mothers; the younger as sisters, with all purity."), were one by a city. We went to Jerusalem to declare the EXISTENCE of the Worldwide Church of God, to send out a call to gather in Jerusalem to KEEP THE SABBATHS OF THE LORD! The Sabbath is a day of rest.Jeremiah 6:16 reads, "Thus saith the Lord, Stand ye in the ways, and see, and ask for the old paths, where is the good way, and walk therein, and ye shall find rest for your souls. But they said, We will not walk therein."(more on this chapter later)Last year, we found no rest in Jerusalem, we found danger! WE HAD TO FLEE JERUSALEM! So God led us to PETRA, where we kept the Sabbaths of the Lord, though some were not there with us enjoying that rest.This year, more brethren went to Jerusalem (keeping what God had taught them through His servant Herbert W. Armstrong), and ended up FLEEING from the city and the dangers there, the lockdowns, finding REST in Petra. DO you think God is not preparing those of the body of Christ for the command to FLEE JUDEA when armies of the beast surround Jerusalem?
Remember last week when we reported that COG members in Israel for the Feast thought it would be a good idea to go to Petra as Jewish men, women, and children were being slaughtered? Nothing should ever stop COG members from enjoying their vacations Feast trips!

This will then be the time Jesus speaks about in Luke 21:20-21 “And when ye shall see Jerusalem compassed with armies, then know that the desolation thereof is nigh. Then let them which are in Judaea flee to the mountains; and let them which are in the midst of it depart out; and let not them that are in the countries enter thereinto.”
Prior to this event, the call to come to Jerusalem was DECLARED! When the armies surround Jerusalem, then the call TO NOT COME TO JERUSALEM shall be declared!
The call to come to Jerusalem, to keep the Sabbaths of the Lord HAS BEEN MADE BRETHREN.
Well, ghastly days! All of you backsliding Laodiceans who REFUSED to heed the call last year to go to Jersuelam are screwed! No more Jerusalem for you! Bad Laodiceans! Bad!
The Worldwide Church of God is heading on a track to JERUSALEM! Those who have departed from God, who can REPENT....PLEASE DO! That's what it is all about! Jesus Christ will forgive our sins, if we confess them to God. The blood of Christ can make you clean AND YOU CAN RETURN AND BE THE WORLDWIDE CHURCH OF GOD you were originally called to be of.
So there you have it. Salvation is only available if and when you rejoin the one true church, the Worldwide Church of God.

Samuel sounds like a good Catholic with his emphasis on Jerusalem and rejoining the mother church headed by Pope HWA.

Just send this posting to the US Consulate in Israel or the Ministry of Religious Affairs in Jerusalem and the Kitchens will get nowhere near Jerusalem. If they do get there, they will spend some time in the Kfar Shaul Mental Health Center and then deported. I have met 9 of the Two Witnesses over the years with one being both of them. Dave Pack will most likely be number 10 and 11 himself as his ego would need the title and Dave has never worked well with anyone besides himself.

Eventually (or not) if there ever are two witnesses, it might settle the issue as to whether the Catholics should have included the book of Revelation in the canon.
During the era of classic WCG, before the Disappointment of 1972-75, it was not unusual for the parents of two or more sons to feel that God had a very special purpose for their sons. That was code for they might just be the two witnesses! Someone once commented either here or elsewhere that David Pack had been told this in his youth. Some had a theory that there would be a miracle with David and Matthew Armstrong, that they would be healed of their deafness, leading to them being the two witnesses. I think there might have been some theories about the Dean boys as well. This legend has reached such epic mythical proportions that back when ethnic jokes were still considered to be neat and cool, there was a joke in Pasadena about the 5 Pollocks demanding to see Mr. Armstrong because they were the two witnesses.
I don't know how old the Kitchens were when David ben Ariel was active, but I believe that his interaction with the Israeli government pretty much gave us the template for how the Israelis handle such people. They tend to take them seriously as being disruptive ones, but not at all seriously as the two witnesses. Knowing that in advance does not modify these prospective witnesses' behavior. They are all thinking to themselves, "But this is different!"
Kitchen is wrong! Gerald Waterhouse made it the "PLAIN TRUTH" that Garner Ted Armstrong was one of the "two witnesses", and now Ted is soon to emerge from hiding in Argentina to fulfill his destiny. Ted did not die in 2003, but secretly escaped via submarine to Argentina until the time is right!

In the early years of the UCG, one of its ministers said that they had already identified 200 people who each thought that they were one of the two witnesses. He said that they were not going to waste any more time on these people.

TWO WITNESSES or FAR TOO MANY FALSE WITNESSES?
First of all, where did I claim to be any of the two witnesses? All I said was we announced the existence of the Worldwide Church of God in Jerusalem, that our people was keeping the SABBATHS of the Lord and since we was unable to safely do that in Israel, we ended up in Petra. At the time, I did not know Wadi Mussa was Petra. I thought it was a nearby city, but for some reason it escaped me as being Petra. But we kept the SABBATHS of the Lord there in Petra. In fact we stayed right where the Moses supposedly struck the rock. Where Satan, through the children of Israel, tempted God when the 12 spies were sent out. My focus shall always be to stick with the government of God. God the Father as Supreme Head, Jesus Christ as Head of the Church, and the servant of God under Him. I am a nobody. I warn my brethren, of departures from the government of God, and remind them of what God's Word instructs us to do and how we ought to live if we are members of the Spiritual Body of Christ.We are not all perfect, but we seek perfection, and we seek correction so we may be of service to all of humanity. We don't seek harm and I'd rather suffer a bullet wound for an enemy when they are being targeted wrongly, than to stand back and say "they got what they deserve". For me, I pray that occasion comes to the glorifying of God. Because we can die for those we love, but we must show love even to those who hate us. I'm not seeking self gain or self glory. That's why God's government is very important to me, and why I hang into it with all I got. Tyrants and radicals are all walking contrary to God's good law. They hurt so many. Those within the Worldwide Church of God who were true believers of the way taught and preached unto them, have found joy in serving God. It is between them and God their walk with Christ is. Now some have not believed the same way, yet are found among the Worldwide Church of God attendance, and it's they who have complained and who go so far as to even slander those who really honestly believe God's Word. We all make mistakes, but we are trying to do better. I know I've taken a lot of wounds from people I have lived and who were close to me. But I don't want harm to come to them. It's all about attitude. And those of the Worldwide Church of God (which I keep on reminding people that it is the Spiritual Body of Christ) are facing battles that many do not see. I am finding more and more that are true believers. That does encourage me. Because it's not my church I want to encourage. It is the true Church of God.
The two witnesses are servants of God. I have not claimed to be any of them. I just say, Jesus Christ is doing a work of preparing the next phase. It's unstoppable.

I remember hearing the theory that Matthew and David Armstrong would be healed and would be the two witnesses. Hadn’t thought about it since the early 1970s until you mentioned it here in your comment.
Samuel issues a final warning stating:

Who, or what is THE WORLDWIDE CHURCH OF GOD, today? Do they still exist? What's left of them? Wasn't there a name change?
Remember HWA said that God's Church was an organism, and not an organization.
Has somebody made an idol of THE WORLDWIDE CHURCH OF GOD? Of HWA?
Perhaps more important, why are there conditions, prerequisites, requirements for receiving the blood of Jesus Christ? Is somebody trying to earn salvation by doing some works? Why such an emphasis on SELF?
Personally, I would rather believe the words of the apostle Paul, who gave us the following information:
"To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation." 2 Corinthians 5:19
Will Samuel's final warning amount to anything significant?
