Dear members and co-workers, those who have eyes to see can recognize that world events, as outlined in Scripture, have sped up dramatically. Many troubles—too many to list here—are converging during this most dangerous time in mankind’s history. Israel’s government has been severely divided for several years. The United States left behind billions of dollars in military hardware in its disastrous Afghanistan withdrawal and is dramatically depleting military supplies over the war in Ukraine. Many question the cognitive state of the president and wonder who is really in charge calling the shots. On the other side of the political aisle, Kevin McCarthy was ousted from his position as Speaker of the House of Representatives—a first in the nation’s history—effectively putting all business on hold during this critical time until a new Speaker can be elected. It appears that if anything can go wrong, it will.
Referring again to my “2023 in Bible Prophecy” telecast, recorded in November 2022, I stated: “Yes, when you think it can’t get any worse, 2023 may once again prove that notion wrong. The United States, Britain, Australia, Canada, and other British-descended peoples are on a downward spiral, and unless we turn back to God—and we see no evidence of that—no elected leader will save us. We will have ups and downs, but the trend will continue down.”

The time of Jacob’s trouble (see our booklet The United States and Great Britain in Prophecy) could descend on us sooner than we might expect. However, God gives us fair warning: “But if that evil servant says in his heart, ‘My master is delaying his coming,’ and begins to beat his fellow servants, and to eat and drink with the drunkards, the master of that servant will come on a day when he is not looking for him and at an hour that he is not aware of, and will cut him in two and appoint him his portion with the hypocrites. There shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth” (Matthew 24:48-51).
Nevertheless, let us never forget these words of Jesus Christ: “By your patience possess your souls” (Luke 21:19). Nor, let us fail to remember these encouraging words: “Now when these things begin to happen, look up and lift up your heads, because your redemption draws near” (v. 28).
Yes, there is good news. Christ will return to stop our insanity (Matthew 24:21-22). He will set up a world-ruling kingdom, and He will be “King over all the earth” (Zechariah 14:9). Nations will “beat their swords into plowshares” (Isaiah 2:2-4). And there will be a lasting peace under His rule when adversarial nations will work together in harmony (Isaiah 19:24-25).

Life on this earth is short, but there is a reward for those who put God first in their lives, and that reward is eternal life. Absolutely no fan of LCG or of Weston.
The irony for me is I agree with some of his observations on the western world. But the same observations are available to read in the msm if one takes the time to search. Unfortunately for him this does not validate British Israelism in any way shape or form.
And it is simply preposterous to elude so. But there is no doubt the western world is floundering in a moral vacuum that is troubling and dangerous for us all.
This is like making a new doom and gloom prophecy just before a nuclear war. Sure we most likely will go in another one and the USA will likely loose, BUT not at the hands of a EU beast power. The EU is likely to surrender to Russia and China.
Sorry Gerald, but world events will not proceed as outlined in scripture. They never have, except when the "prophecy" was written after the events unfolded (Daniel). But if you cherry pick propehcy (i.e. ignore all those prophecies you cannot concoct an explanation for) and cherry pick history and cherry pick the news, you can create a narrative that suits almost any purpose. Our so-called leaders and so-called news analyists do it all the time. Just listen to both sides of the Ukraine/Russia war or the Israel/Gaza war and you will see this happening in real time. And "history" is just a story (narrative) about yesterdays "news." It's far more biased than the average Joe can imagine. You cannot prove the bible that way. History is not an objective standard to judge by.
These guys are just unbelievable! Every day, the news from climatologists and other scientists correlates more closely with the prophesies in Revelation, but he wants to send you a book on British Israelism! That is not only astonishing, it is also embarrassing! When will even one of these ACOG "leaders" realize that there are ways to reduce the carbon footprint so that it actually costs less to live, thus freeing up more of the members' money for offerings?
I guess they can't warn about events which will affect the entire planet. Only the events which are specific to English-speaking white folk get to be part of the fear-mongering!

Will the USA and Israel lose if they try to take on a billion infuriated Muslims? Can they take on the Turks, Arabs, and Persians all in one go and still have oil to get to work? They can't get oil from Russia due to sanctions. Cannot get it from Alaska or Canada due to fake envronmentalist rubbish. All the Western ammo went to Ukraine and they are facing a financial crisis. How will America fight with no oil, money or ammo and a woke gender-confused military with no real men in it? Looks like USA and Germany will fight the Muslims together and lose, after running out of money and ammo to fight Russia in Ukraine. Where is that is prophecy? Gerald, please explain.
Weston is certainly correct that we live in a very precarious world right now, and a very divisive one as well.
Whether or not this is some kind of beginning of END TIME woes, is still an open question.
There's so much hideousness in Weston's message that I'd like to call attention to but, with merely a minute to spare, I choose to spotlight his closing.

That quote is proof that LCG, along with the totality of COGdom, don't get Jesus as the all sufficient Savior and his act of salvation by grace!
Weston is clearly saying that giving money to his church will be rewarded by eternal life. Thereby, Weston stomps all over the sacrifice of Jesus to buy our salvation and God's offering of eternal life as his ultimate loving gift.
I pray for Weston's repentance from this appalling heresy. I pray for the redemption of the people of LCG and their restoration into the Body of Jesus Christ!

We live in a clearly divided world where moral clarity is diminished and as a result we live in a precarious time.
‘Whether or not this is some kind of beginning of END TIME woes, is still an open question’ is a good question in itself.
But it’s no doubt troubling as we watch the Ukraine/Russia war and the tragic events in Israel and Gaza. And no doubt deeply disturbing and distressing to those caught up in these shocking events.
Regardless we are in my opinion closer to our and humanities redemption. Which is sadly needed.
These times must surely have left many in Armstrongism reeling, as things unfold that were clearly not foreseen and caused confusion and consternation among the troops….

For decades almost all of the COG organizations have told their members and coworkers how they are helping God's work by giving tithes and offerings. Does an all powerful God really need our help doing any kind of a work? Can we buy our way into the Kingdom of God?
Is money what God really wants from us? Or is it changes in our character that are against what His Son taught and lived? The people that The Father has called are "THE WORK". We are His workmanship...Somehow putting out magazines, booklets, and airing radio and TV programs, or having a large Internet presence has become more important than those He has called and chosen. It's our responsibility to remain faithful.
Russia only has around 130 million people which is less than 40% of the US. Population. They are in much more of a decline than the U.S. Also, China’s communist policies led to their 1 child policy. Their population has begun and is projected to greatly reduce. Whatever they do they know needs to be done now, but they cannot match the US.
Weston is right. One has to give money to the church in order to get better and bigger wings in the next life. Nothing is free in life.

Did Cornelius (a gentile) need to give money to an organization? He gave to people around him. And yet he had an angel encounterment with an angel.

However, Bible end times prophecies were applied to all of us who were ever part of Armstrongism to scare and manipulate us, and then they didn't happen. I mean, come on! We're now fifty years past their due date! When spiritual leaders use such a scenario to exploit and imprison people, and the people discover that those leaders (jailers) did not know what they were talking about, as they leave and begin to live their lives again, how do you think they are going to react to scientists whom they were already conditioned to distrust, who present another end times scenario, even though it is based on a completely different set of data? We were also taught that if a new president from one party is elected, it means the end is coming soon. It a president from the other party is elected, God is giving us more time to complete the work. As luck would have it, it's the "more time" party who has made climate change denial part of their national platform.
It's complicated, but there are some very strong reasons why people who have had some sort of Armstrong experience would tend to reject the possibility of anthropogenic climate change. Some of those people are probably reading this right now and saying to themselves, "Some sort of Armstrong experience, eh? Ya mean blood doping for the Tour de France, or gettin' one of their testicles cut off?"

Do they have the Lord or angels communicating with them? Are they greatly beloved by God like Daniel or the apostle whom Jesus loved like John?

Au contraire. Russia is in a MUCH stronger position than the US. The US government is bankrupt and is now adding $2 trillion to its debt each year. Our financial system is a house of cards. The economic sanctions have hurt the West than Russia. In fact, Russia gains strength daily.
What I find funny about certain COG ministers in regards to WWII, is that they'll say we won world war I and world war II, America and Britain defeated Nazi Germany. But it was actually the Soviet Union (Russians) that defeated Germany in that winter freeze. And the Soviet Union was on the Allied side of the war, a socialist country.
