Bob Thiel Ridicules Fake Australian Jesus Yet Refuses To Acknowledge The Fake Prophet In Arroyo Grande

Bob Thiel, the non-ordained self-appointed false prophet in Arroyo Grande, CA is mocking a man in Australia who claims he is Jesus.

An Australian who falsely claims to be Jesus was in the news:

June 3, 2103
A man in Australia claims to be Jesus. A.J. Miller is attracting hundreds of people to his seminars; dozens have moved to his land in Queensland where he calls his movement the Divine Truth. He says he remembered he was Jesus in 2004.

“There were lots of people in the first century who didn’t believe I was the Messiah and were offended by what I said — and in fact I died at the hands of some of them,” he recently told SkyNews. “Unfortunately they didn’t learn love either and my suggestion is, even if you don’t believe I am Jesus, at least learn how to love.”

Jesus warned that there would be false Christs:
23 “Then if anyone says to you, ‘Look, here is the Christ!’ or ‘There!’ do not believe it.  24 For false christs and false prophets will rise and show great signs and wonders to deceive, if possible, even the elect.  (Matthew 24:23-24)
There will also be worse ones than this Australian.  He is simply one of many.

Since Thiel claims to follow a version of the Bible, perhaps he should read these verses:

Mat 24:3-5,10-11 (NIV) ..."Tell us," they said, "when will this happen, and what will be the sign of your coming and of the end of the age?" Jesus answered, "Watch out that no one deceives you, for many will come in my name,.. At that time many will turn away from the faith... and many false prophets will appear and deceive many people."

Deut. 18:20-22 (NIV) "A prophet who presumes to speak in my name anything I have not commanded him to say, or a prophet who speaks in the name of other gods, must be put to death. You may say to yourselves, 'How can we know when a message has not been spoken by the Lord?' If what a prophet proclaims in the name of the Lord does not take place or come true, that is a message the Lord has not spoken. That prophet has spoken presumptuously..."

Jer 9:2-6 (NIV) "...For they are all adulterers, a crowd of unfaithful people. They make ready their tongue like a bow, to shoot lies; it is not by truth that they triumph in the land. They go from one sin to another; they do not acknowledge me," declares the Lord. "Beware of your friends; do not trust your brothers. For every brother is a deceiver, and every friend a slanderer. Friend deceives friend, and no one speaks the truth... You live in the midst of deception; in their deceit they refuse to acknowledge me," declares the Lord.

Jer 23:33-36 (NIV) "When these people, or a prophet or a priest, ask you, 'What is the oracle of the Lord?' say to them, 'What oracle?..' You must not mention 'the oracle of the Lord' again, because every man's own word becomes his oracle and so you distort the words of the living God, the Lord Almighty, our God."

Jer 23:16-18 (NIV) This is what the Lord Almighty says: "Do not listen to what the prophets are prophesying to you; they fill you with false hopes. They speak visions from their own minds, not from the mouth of the Lord. They keep saying to those who despise me, 'The Lord says: You will have peace.' And to all who follow the stubbornness of their hearts they say, 'No harm will come to you.' But which of them has stood in the council of the Lord to see or to hear his word? Who has listened and heard his word?"

Jer 23:21-22 (NIV) "I did not send these prophets, yet they have run with their message; I did not speak to them, yet they have prophesied. But if they had stood in my council, they would have proclaimed my words to my people and would have turned them from their evil ways and from their evil deeds."

Thiel appointed himself to a position without being ordained.  According to COG understanding he has no legitimacy. Thiel is just as pathetic and silly as the fake Jesus in Australia.  Being a fake prophet in Arroyo Grande has not brought any legitimacy to Bob.

Thiel's downfall is going to be his self appointed status and his blatant hypocrisy. He damns the world yet he is an absolute mess himself.

I've spent a lot of time fellowshipping with Latinos, and a lot of my Mexican buddies have also claimed to be Jesus! Of course, they pronounce it slightly differently, and have been careful to point out that their name is not blasphemous because in the Latino culture, our Savior is always referred to as Jesus Christos.

But, I just have to laugh at Thiel.
Talk about the pot and the kettle! I was watching Katie last night, and she had a woman who had escaped from Warren Jeff's FLDS church. The cultic tales she had to share! The funny thing is, anyone whoever was part of Armstrongism could share equally shocking tales, but the most devout would probably say something like, "Oh, but that's different. We actually are God's True Church, and this is what God really expects of His people!"
